Matchday Thread Inverness CT -V- Livingston

BSC Glasgow have unsurprisingly been beaten by Hibs. Unless Clyde manage to pull one out of the hat against Celtic. We're stuck with the Premiership boys- 111 replies

Matchday Thread Inverness CT -V- Livingston

Swear Robbo has some magic powers when it comes to the Scottish Cup. Back to back Semis in 2003 and 2004. And again in 2019 and (here's hoping I don't jinx it) 2020. He's been with the club over 4 and a bit seasons, and has shown he's one of the most consistent of the lot. Pele only managed the Quarters in 1 of 7 Seasons. Charlie did it in his one and only season. Terry managed the Quarters in 2 of 5. Yogi is the only one who's managed to do a clean sweep with 3 Quarter Finals in 3 seasons. Sergei, Brewster and Foran never have. Robbo definitely knows his way around in the cup...- 111 replies

Announcer better play Supercalifragilisticexpialadocious to mark the 20th Anniversary of the game...then again, would've been better had we drawn Celtic...

https://ictfc.com/ict25-memberships-announced Two questions I have on this. 1. Are the whiskeys going to be properly Limited Edition or 25th Anniversary Kit "Limited Edition"? And 2. Will these benefits (I.e. Stadium Brick, Whiskey etc) be available to the general fans?

2-0 C*unty. 57 mins, Billy Mckay both goals. Either they're playing a weak team, or are just rubbish...

In a sense, I somewhat agree. No point doing it when A) They understand English well enough, and B) There's nobody that it would even benefit. Like the gaelic announcements. The only time announcements in another language would somewhat make sense, is if (by against all the odds) we end up playing in Europe against a team from a country that isn't fluent or majority in English. Otherwise, it's completely pointless, never heard anyone speaking fluent Gaelic bar once at Inverness Athletic earlier this year, but he still spoke English, and more than likely, his children who were also speaking Gaelic did too. It's not worth having separate announcements for maybe not even a handful of people. I'd say it's the equivalent of an English National League club making announcements in English and French, hell, I don't even think the Irish/Northern Irish Premiership club's make announcements in both English and Gaelic...

We could be in with a shout of winning. Who knows what they'll prioritise, cup or league, but what seems likely is they won't play a fully fresh squad. Here's hoping that C*unty give them a good run about tomorrow night...

I mean, we did have a decent atmosphere, but stewarding (NO FEET ON THE SEATS!!!) and who knows what else, has driven a fair amount away...

So much for "we're not selling anyone within a week of window closure"...

Fighting with Salford for him then, cos I've read they're looking for him...and I'd rather have Adam Rooney in my team than Jordan White...

Doohan runs into White, foul, free kick Ayr. Doran gets dragged down on edge of the box, no foul. What kind of logic is that?

Doesn't have a lot to do with our transfer window, but Deano Brill has retired and is now the goalkeeping coach at Leyton Orient. Can't forget his heroics in the League Cup Semis against Hearts to get us our first major finals...

David Moyes has came forward with the idea that the Scottish Premiership sides get put into the English League Cup. Personally, I think it sounds decent, and while it has been done before on a smaller scale, I don't see why it won't work again... Opinions? https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/5196321/david-moyes-celtic-rangers-scotland-english-league-cup/

Wouldn't trust them tbf, they're saying that Alfredo Morelos is a top priority signing for Barça...

I think I may have mentioned it before, but the reason were not packed near every game is cos the SFA neglected the potential of Highland football for too long. It was what, a little over 100 years the SFA had to elect any of the highland teams in, and all because of the apparent A9 conditions, they chose not to, which in turn, sent all fans wanting league football off to Aberdeen or Glasgow, and in turn, causing glory hunters who adamantly support Celtic/Rangers/Aberdeen, yet haven't even set a toenail into any of the grounds. C*unty have the exact same problem, but it's easily disguised by the fact the stands are so small, it looks like more seats are filled. I really can't pinpoint when all our fans ditched us, looking through highlights of many a game on YouTube, the North and Main stands were pretty full no matter who we're playing. Looking at the North Stand, especially the section I sit in, on YouTube, there's absolute tons of people, now, there's a mere handful. It's really disappointing to see how much of the general public will turn out for one game, then a slight drop in results and those "fans" scatter like cockroaches. The Premiership, and making a consistent effort to push for Europa League spots, is going to bring the fans back. The coefficient has made it all the more likely another spot in Europe will be coming to the league. That said, I don't like dampening our achievements, but I think the lack of Rangers gave us the chance to snag a Europa League spot. We did (nearly) do it a couple years before, but were hauled back by a loss to C*unty. Robbo has been one of the most successful managers we've ever had, he managed to secure back to back Scottish Cup Semis in the early days of our Premiership campaign, again last season, and hopefully, this season too. If he manages that, and we get through the Playoffs, I'm certain we'll get bums on seats (and hopefully more pies, considering there's rarely enough ?)
