  1. Personally I think blackieforces initial comment smacks of an uneducated outlook of what is or isnt London and could possibly be construed as being a racist remark so I'll let him and anyone else decide. THE SCHOOL BALTACHA WORKS IN
  2. We dont actually have any facts to go on. Only the written press. Whats true or not, who knows? Maybe he's already given a verbal that he's staying and just waiting on the right time to go public. Personally I hope that is the case. Comments on this thread, in general, are being supportive towards Dargo well heres something else to think about.......suppose ICT have there eye on a replacement in the event Dargo goes. Someone who could easily fill the guys boots and at the right price. ICT decide they will wait for Dargo's decision. Eventually Dargo decides to tell us he aint staying. In the meantime the other guy has got fed up waiting to secure his future and signs for someone else. Personally I think this whole saga smells of unprofessionalism.
  3. If Barry is indeed having a testimonial then I for one look forward to the fun and games. Hope he doesn't ask Charlie Bannerman to make speeches though :015: (sorry Charles). Barry is someone who has been, like Rossco, a stalwart for this club and thoroughly deserves the recognition and financial support a testimonial will bring. I also, sincerely, hope he is involved with ICT for many years to come and that his example of professionalism and dedication will rub of on many young stars of the future. Oh! and Barry I forgive you your period of insanity when you chose to holiday in West Lothian for a spell.
  4. Teletext has him quoted as saying he will decide next monday. He's on holiday just now and doesn't want his enjoyment spoiled. If his futures so trivial then is he worth bothering about.
  5. So have a number of others. Would you want to be a manager without the autonomy to manage? Personally I doubt he would make such a step. He never took up management since his brief spell with us and now works as a PE teacher in London He also coaches at Charlton Athletic's academy. At the moment he has job security and a pension to look forward to. His son, also Sergie, seems to have struggled to make the grade as a footballer. He started out with St Mirren where he gained 3 scottish U21 caps. Then went to Millwall where he was let go after a year. Failed in a trial with QoS and now plays with Petershill Juniors
  6. Programme about them on Skysports 1 right now
  7. Has to be the way caley100 got a pint out of Johnboy
  8. At the end of the day past performances are water under the bridge and dont mean one iota. Its how we go next season that matters and I for one am confident that we will still have the nucleus of a good team and a strike force hungry to perform.
  9. Wasn't aware he was due one. I thought ten years with one club was the norm to qualify.
  10. The reason we coudn't get quaity opposition last year was because the leagues around the word had finished early to allow for World Cup prep.
  11. A couple of points. 1. The rules of the SPL were drawn up, and agreed, by the member clubs at its formation. Changes in the rules would need to be agreed by the member clubs. Those rules were drawn up following changes in the law regarding sporting venues and the SPL believe they have gone over and above the guidlines and, as such, I cannot see any court in the land being interested. 2. ICT is a member of the SPL and, provided we could nurture support from other members, can put forward a motion to have changes made. Chances are that we could win over the required support from the SPL. 3. Local authorities and the police will need to be convinced that the safety issues have been addressed before they would allow the issue of public safety certificate. Those things can be achieved but it all takes time and its very unfair to chastise the board and CE of ICT for what is a national issue. Supporters organisations can network and lobby the governing bodies. Fans can lobby their club. The club can seek support from other clubs and lobby the governing body, the police and the local authorities and I believe that will happen but it will take more than a few weeks or months.
  12. There are no regulations on standing at football grounds in Scotland. The regs say all stadia with a capacity of over ten thousand must be all seated. The SPL twisted that to their own ends.
  13. CD, Payment winging its way via paypal
  14. Where the **** do you get the '6 or 7 goals a season'. He scored near 80 in the 3 seasons he was with us before. 11 last season. This season 3 but he was out for 6 months.
  15. 19th and over a thousand points for me............and I missed 19 games.
  16. Decide from the link if Dennis is saying it like roscoe23 deciphers it THIS IS THE LINK
  17. Haven't seen the article so cant really comment but I doubt very much that that is the interpretation Dennis expects from his article.
  18. Considering the average salary for chief exec of any company to be £150,000+ I would say yes.
  19. Alex MacLeod replied to a post in a topic in Caley Thistle
There is absolutely nothing wrong, or embarrasing, about Highland Cathedral as a signature tune for the club. Even away fans like it. And to correct a point caley4life, it is not a teuchter song. It is a bagpipe tune that was produced, arranged and composed by Uli Roever and Michael Korb. The former a dutchman and the latter a german, and was written in commemeration of the scots battalion that marched into Berlin at the end of the last war. The tune has also been muted as a contender for Scottish anthem.
  20. Away v Gretna??
  21. Does anyone know when this will be released. Surely, with no disputes next season, the list should be out by now.
  22. I am reliably-informed thats old news though no public announcement just yet.
  23. CaleyD, if no other bids PM me an e-mail and I'll paypal you.
  24. C'mon folks where's the serious bidders then?
  25. Were they Ross County coaches or were they coaches from Ross County who are also involved in the Highland Football Academy?
