Dodds v Ridgers: conspiracy theory or a real issue?
If there was a physical altercation by Ridgers, and its debatable whether there was, then he shouldn't even be on the bench. Suspended without pay pending investigation.

Arbroath at home Saturday
My point still stands, a Dingwall handful of good chances in the second half, real opportunities in anyone's book regardless of how arsenal-like we create them. Add to that the sprinkling of first 45 half chances, and you must wonder how we aren't scoring. I'm not a fan of our playing style under the current (and previous) manager, but with the current 11 fit players we have, our inability to put chances away increases pressure on whatever combination of utility players we have at the back, and the unfortunate sods in midfield who not only have to protect them but also are tasked with launching offensive moves (when they aren't bypassed by the howitzers out of central defence). Arbroath are bang average, their defence isn't even that good and they had us to thank for their equaliser ffs. Teams just know they will get a chance against us, and one chance is usually all it takes, whereas we need a hell of a lot more.

Arbroath at home Saturday
3 or 4 good balls put in from the right by Shaw, a couple from the left , one of which was scored by Shaw at the back post. Real opportunities? This was the Arbroath game you were watching, yes?

Arbroath at home Saturday
Unlucky not to score. How often can this be the case? Stop wasting chance after chance , we don't have our strongest team on the park - true, we don't get our tactics right for our opponents - somewhat true. But we have had enough chances in the last two games to win plenty of matches. Its becoming obvious to the rest of the league that we are perhaps good for one goal a game - score more than that and we are beatable. Maybe we need to employ a goalscoring consultant now.

Arbroath at home Saturday
The system that served up so many chances and only beat the keeper once? You could tell where Arbroath are in the league by the number of clear chances we created agsibst them in the second half. Most other teams in the division would have put two or three of these chances away.

Arbroath at home Saturday
Same old same old. Half chances not taken. Arbroath had one neat move ending up with the ball coming off the outside of the post. Keeper stranded. Scott Allan trying but failing to influence the game. If we don't take one of our chances we will pay.

Arbroath at home Saturday
Ridgers may well be in goals as we might need Cammy to play outfield. Limited numbers in training this week, ongoing fitness concerns and a rumour that Samuels has broken down again...

Queens Park Away: 12 November
Regardless of the state of the groundsharing agreement, our club had to agree to this last minute change...🤔

Morton friday night tv game
What? Just watched the replay and Carson was blocking his own keeper. Couldn't make it up.

Morton friday night tv game
Pretty even start with regard to the fouls, ref letting the game flow fairly well. No complaints here.

Morton friday night tv game
Played good passing football so far. Hard to believe we're 2 down, but we've been really charitable.

Giving them a 2 goal start not part of the plan

Morton friday night tv game
Eh, we're away from home so not expected to come out and try to open up the opposition. Morton might have nicked it up in inverness last time we played , now the onus is on them, in front of their own fans, to get the points to go top. Perfect opportunity for a surprise result. As long as we start off solidly then there's always a chance...

Raith at Home, Saturday
Not sure if its our fault Deas broke his leg. The main concern is that most of the injuries occurred at the start or in pre season, which then means players coming back have had their conditioning adversely affected - leading to strain/stress related injuries on their return. I don't think our attritional hoofball style helps with some of our lighter built players either. A very demanding physical style that would suit a team full of Oakleys.

Close at the top!
Early days of course. Only 12 games played so far. It'll start to look more realistic at the turn of the year, bottom 2 or 3 will drop off and the top 7 will split into 2 groups - 2 or 3 teams vying fir the title and the rest scrapping for the glory of playoff spots. Who knows where we will end up, especially when we start to pick up injuries. 😉

Raith at Home, Saturday
I thought we signed him for the physical side of the game. Looked like he was giving as good as he was getting. If only he was as mobile as Billy.

Tbh I miss the match day programme much more. Absolute travesty that we don't produce them anymore.

Is there bonus points for how hard, high or long you can kick a football?

Cove Rangers away
With only Raith, Arbroath & Hamilton scoring less than us we really should look to up our goals for tally. Tight at the back is one thing, but if the season continues to be so close at the top then goal difference will be very important.

Partick Thistle Friday night
Best team performance of the season so far, patient with the ball, organised without it. More than matched Patrick in the first half, won all the match ups we needed to. Slackened off 2nd half, seemed to be confused how to exploit the numerical advantage. Lots of crosses from both wings, many with no end result, I felt we needed a pass through the middle to open them up properly but Im not sure we have that sort of player who can deliver these balls and that is probably the only reason I miss Liam Polworth. Credit to our captain for his running, hold up and link play. Some shift he put in again and rewarded with a finely taken goal. Slightly shaky last 10, but multiple substitutions don't help when youre trying to see the game out. Ian McCall. Tube. Happy days.

Start fast. In hard. Repeat to end.

Ayr United away
The expectation is different - we are better at sitting in and hitting on the break, something which doesn't usually go down well in front of our own support. When we do this away from home we make our well oiled band of travellers very happy indeed.
