  1. You get the feeling it's coming together at exactly the right time. Could be an exciting end to the season. ?
  2. Indeed. Much better to have an early decision, instead of waiting until near kick off. If it was badly waterlogged at 12:30 there is no chance of it being magically ok by this evening.
  3. Or it could be a giant red herring. In the shape of a conspiracy theory.
  4. I believe she was a great advocate of social media for increased profile of the club and engagement of sponsors and fans. i shall leave you to judge whether that was effective.
  5. The only other match that night is Doncaster Rovers v Barnsley, which many pubs will automatically show, but there is a good chance that you can ask a friendly barman to switch it over to our game. These are the ones that come up, but wouldn't take it as gospel, would check with them first: https://www.matchpint.co.uk/bars-showing-inverness-ct-vs-ross-co-356606 More general: https://www.designmynight.com/london/pubs/football-pubs-in-london
  6. I don't see why they should wait. They could just assume there is a strong possibility of an Old Firm semi-final and proceed accordingly. Doesn't matter if it turns out to be Aberdeen instead.
  7. Odds on it is Hearts, Robbo will surely relish that.
  8. Great opportunity! Neither side looked any great shakes tonight. Bring it on.
  9. And who did't love Robbo's jig of delight when the winner went in?!
  10. One of them did say at half time that we didn't get the credit we deserved for our style of play. Really feel the team is gelling now, with the midfield coming together and White making the most of his skills as front man. Could be a great run in to the end of the season, if we can keep that up.
  11. Fabulous stuff, and a very well deserved result. Can't think of any of our players that didn't perform at their best. Doran, White, Chalmers, Donaldson, all of them. Robbo got the tactics spot on. Please, please give us the winners of Partick and Hearts - I reckon we could make the final that route. Well, why not? A Cup Final, then win the play offs. How does that sound?
  12. Whatever you do, lads, don’t sit back and try to see out a 1-0.
  13. Ya beauty. Well deserved, don’t think Ridgers has touched the ball. Robbo set us up nicely, after what he saw on Tuesday night. Let’s have some more!
  14. Good start. Nice to see Alex Fisher rooting for us. Come back, Alex!
  15. A draw with another classic replay under the floodlights, then Hampden!
  16. That's standard accountancy speak in annual reports. They have to weigh up all the potential contingencies, however remote or unlikely and report it in dispassionate terms. Nearly every company trading at a loss will have something like it in their annual accounts.
  17. I'm going for the Pie Samaritan.
  18. If we had to choose, I'd take the hit tomorrow with a second string team, and then win with style on Sunday. Worth it in every way, especially as we can still make up ground in the league.
  19. Tricky one. The thoughts will be on Sunday, whatever you tell the players. Will take a point and no injuries. And then full throttle for Hampden. Mind you, they will be thinking the same ?
  20. After stroking my chin for a while, I agree with you ocg. I don't think there is anything much between the teams, as we have seen, but as he admits we are better managed (take note, doubters), and have most often played the better football in these classic derbies. The first half of the proposition is their comfort blanket. I prefer our route of finding the rough diamonds and polishing them, rather than splashing out on already known players at greater expense and not always for any greater benefit. JW just keeps getting better. The shift he puts in, not just in attack, is inspiring. The pressure on those penalty takers must have been nerve jangling. Hats off.
  21. Robbo: "We have been horrendous at penalties this season. We practised them yesterday. We actually had the players taking penalties from 15 yards out because if they can score from 15 yards, they can certainly score from 12 and all five of them scored." ? ?
  22. BTW, the Beeb have a piece on 25 years of Highland derbies, with some choice footage from the first in the Scottish League, Div 3 1994 at a very retro Victoria Park.. Where on earth did they get those strips though? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47273558
  23. A County fan says, "We have the better players, but you have the better management".. Hmm, one for the chin strokers. ?
  24. You feckin beauty! I knew we had it in us, given the amount of times we have been the better team with nothing to show for it. Great chance for a semi final day out now. Bring it on.
