  1. The quality of the straws we are clutching on to leaves something to be desired. But I will give it a try nonetheless.
  2. In the fifth minute of added time?? Words fail me.
  3. This last ten minutes are going to be very long and stressful!
  4. Austin off, Mackay on. Bold - going for another goal, or resting a proven scorer for Tuesday? Who knows? Hope it pays off whatever.
  5. Nailbiter. Ha, just as i was chewing on them, Austin pops up and scores! Keep it going lads, I'll bite my nails, you score the goals.
  6. Well, Saturday's going to be fun! Whatever the result, good to be back in games with high stakes and some real drama about them.
  7. Great to see Austin racking them up. The brief glimpse we had of him after he signed looked promising. Hope he settles and becomes a regular scorer.
  8. Given the sad and sorry state of affairs that has been revealed over the recent history of CJT, I would have though it is more productive to encourage this meeting to take place, perhaps just by moving the date two or three weeks later. By continually harrying and decrying whoever is currently on the board, whatever their competency or lack of, doesn't really progress anything. If they are out of their depth, as they appear to be, then they could probably do with a bit of help and encouragement, so the whole thing can get sorted.
  9. It could go to the wire, I think. Last game against Morton.
  10. This was an important thread. Now it's gone totally OT with doolally right wing conspiracy nonsense. FFS.
  11. Great result. With the three teams above us all losing, couldn't ask for a better set of results. They are all within striking distance for us now, and if we can keep this run up, they will drop points. Nice to have some momentum and feel like we are getting a settled team.
  12. You have to hand it to Brechin for sticking with it, and never whining. I have a soft spot for them after reading this: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/mar/09/brechin-city-no-league-win-scottish-championship I hope they get their win. They deserve an against the odds upset. I have seen them playing some better football than others in this division, although never for long enough in a match, and i think they have been unlucky a couple of times (not against us, though).
  13. Thanks for that. Oakley did a great job with setting up Doran for the goal.
  14. Terrific result and a terrific three days. Hopefully that will quieten the relentless doom mongers for a while. You can see the shape of a good team emerging. I think all the postponements and injuries halted the progress we were making by the Christmas period, but now we are getting back on track. A few astute ins and outs over the summer and we should be good for a strong campaign next season. Especially if the auld enemy join us
  15. The guy is just back from injury, so was a bit rusty. He confessed at the end he was worried about extra time because he was knackered. Give him a break - I thought he did very well, and merited his MoM.
  16. Good on you, Blair. We're not all 1950's throwbacks here . good luck with your endeavours with the club. I don't suppose you can afford a 25 goal per season striker?
  17. Well done the lads. A poor start, where Dumbarton looked likely to score, but by half time we looked more threatening, if ultimately toothless. But to their credit they stuck with it, and got the reward they deserved. The subs made the difference, Mackay's cross was perfect, and kudos to Carl for being in the right place to slot it in. I am glad we won from open play and not a penalty. You can see we are still a work in progress, and it is fairly obvious who we should keep and who should go in the summer - but there is a core we can build around. This season was always going to be difficult, so let's hope we can build on this, finish strongly and have a proper go next season. Special mention to MoM Coll Donaldson. Great to have him back.
  18. You don't have to read it, or be so grumpy about a young lad wanting to help. You're quite the profligate one with your posts.
  19. Racist or not, it is stupidly derogatory of someone who wants to help out ICT.
  20. Well, it all helps! Not expecting King Croesus to walk in the door.
  21. I would just approach them directly. The chairman positively encourages people to get in touch with him.
  22. Get in touch with the club or chairman. you will be welcome with open arms.
  23. Nice article about Brechin by Ewen Murray: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/mar/09/brechin-city-no-league-win-scottish-championship Although they are eclipsed somewhat by Fort William, who have at the moment no wins, a goal difference of -97, but two points!
