  1. Jim Duffy's too old to be a player/manager. Besides we've got McGuire to come back in central defence... :thumb04: ...maybe Duffy could play on for a season then Seriously, I think Pressley as manager and Duffy assisting him I could really go for. I like our habit of taking on young hungry managers and apparently Duffy is a good coach with extensive knowledge on the game. Could work! I'm pretty sure his wage demands may be to high, but I would have had Duffy as assistant manager to Brew. Or even the other way round. Throwing Brewster in at the deep end without a real qualified experienced coach to show him the ropes was plain stupid. Chris that never happened Park was here when Brew came back Pardon me, I was referring to the first stint. Park was indeed there second time, and while there we did extremely well under Brewster. Park left, and there was no experienced coach to guide Brewster. Hence pish results and pish football. Probably not.

  3. I like how that gives you reason to insult me personally.
  4. Steven Milne
  5. Oh look, Dalneigh finds fault with one of my posts again. As I said, Brewster made some honking mistakes today, and most will throw the old one defeat from relegation statistic at me, but I'd reply that we are also 1 victory (with our away form as it is, a very winnable game against St Mirren) away from the top 6. Que someone hurling abuse at me for having a different opinion to their own. Its "fans" like you that will see this club dragged into the first division with your blind support of an obviously inept manager. Why Dalneigh, do you consist with having personal digs at people that don't agree with your opinion. I have no problem with you disagreeing with what I have to say on the matter of Caley Thistle, but why rather than presenting your arguments against what I have to say, do you have a sly dig at me.
  6. Of course he's not as good a manager as Brewster . Duffy only managed to take Dundee to 2 National finals and took them to the UEFA Cup . Nowhere near as good a record as Brewsters Bankrupting them in the process.
  7. That will be the squad that was bottom of the league with 0 points aye?
  8. you must be barrowmans mate to defend him...he is useless whatever quality of ball he gets into him and whatever formation is used. Barrowman is far from useless. As c100 says, he is a penalty box player that needs to play along side another striker. He was terrific against Aberdeen, and lack of strenght(which seems to be his main downfall) is something that can and will be rectified. He also requires the ball into feet, particularly in game like yesterdays. Graham Bayne would have struggled to win anything against those two.

Wyness is no longer good enough for the SPL, as he is currently proving at St Mirren.
  10. Despite an excellent preformance against Aberdeen, Barrowman has so far been most impressive playing alongside another striker.
  11. Learning from mistakes is key to greatness. Don't think anyone infulential ever said it, but im pretty sure its true anyway.
  12. I will buy mine same as ever.

Que someone hurling abuse at me for having a different opinion to their own. Chris certianly not going to hurl abuse as yes we are all entitled to our opinions but are you not worried the way things are going I am indeed worried. Brewster continually makes stupid mistakes at home and frequently shows his tactical inexperience. However, I just don't think things are that bad. United would have been expected to win today, and by the sounds of things in the first half at least we gave them a game. I also look at what Brewster has brought to the club (far more than Christie IMO). I'm impressed at the way he is willing to throw young guys in at the deepend, and yes on some occasions these decisions have not worked the way he would have liked, but I direct you to the preformance of Gary Wood and Ian Vigurs at Hibs. He seems to at least try to play half decent football, and so far has been excellent in the transfer market (Djebdi-Zadi aside). He is master of the counter attack and genuinely seems to want whats best for the club. And don't forget that the players are fitter than ever. Yes things aren't perfect, but I am convinced we can go to Love Street and get a win, and IF Brewster is willing to learn from the mistakes he made to day, we will give Aberdeen a decent game on the 21st. Was it last week that most on here were fuming at Brewster for doing exactly that Master of the counter attack I must have missed that You don't go to many away games then, but I assure you he is. (The away games comment is not a personal dig at you, it's just thats where its most on show).

  15. What really baffles me is Duff at right back and Proctor inside. Deary me. Glad to see Zander come on, shows he's at least in Brewster's plans.

  17. Brewster still has my backing (just), but he ****** up today, no doubt about it. A lot of the home games have, IMO been down to poor player performances as opposed to poor tactics, but he got nothing right today and I will be very disappointed if he does not come out and take the blame.

Surely must be the first striker on the teamsheet.
  19. Will be interesting to see how Vigurs copes against real quality opposition.
  20. Don't you think if he MUST become a Coach he would have become one by now? Eh? As with most professional players, Barry wants to get the most out of his professional career before turning to coaching. The man is 36. By your logic, Brewster should not be coaching, as I don't recall Brewster at 36 hanging up his boots and going in to coaching.
  21. Should we draw for example County away from home and demand>capacity for away tickets, would it be season ticket holders that get priority?
  22. Barry's days as a player are done in the SPL IMO. But he must stay as a coach.
  23. I'd have a fit and willing Kiegan Parker anyday. But a playboy and a whiner is the last thing our dressing room needs.
