  1. Despite an excellent preformance against Aberdeen, Barrowman has so far been most impressive playing alongside another striker.
  2. Learning from mistakes is key to greatness. Don't think anyone infulential ever said it, but im pretty sure its true anyway.
  3. Oh look, Dalneigh finds fault with one of my posts again. As I said, Brewster made some honking mistakes today, and most will throw the old one defeat from relegation statistic at me, but I'd reply that we are also 1 victory (with our away form as it is, a very winnable game against St Mirren) away from the top 6. Que someone hurling abuse at me for having a different opinion to their own. Chris certianly not going to hurl abuse as yes we are all entitled to our opinions but are you not worried the way things are going I am indeed worried. Brewster continually makes stupid mistakes at home and frequently shows his tactical inexperience. However, I just don't think things are that bad. United would have been expected to win today, and by the sounds of things in the first half at least we gave them a game. I also look at what Brewster has brought to the club (far more than Christie IMO). I'm impressed at the way he is willing to throw young guys in at the deepend, and yes on some occasions these decisions have not worked the way he would have liked, but I direct you to the preformance of Gary Wood and Ian Vigurs at Hibs. He seems to at least try to play half decent football, and so far has been excellent in the transfer market (Djebdi-Zadi aside). He is master of the counter attack and genuinely seems to want whats best for the club. And don't forget that the players are fitter than ever. Yes things aren't perfect, but I am convinced we can go to Love Street and get a win, and IF Brewster is willing to learn from the mistakes he made to day, we will give Aberdeen a decent game on the 21st. Was it last week that most on here were fuming at Brewster for doing exactly that Master of the counter attack I must have missed that You don't go to many away games then, but I assure you he is. (The away games comment is not a personal dig at you, it's just thats where its most on show).

  5. What really baffles me is Duff at right back and Proctor inside. Deary me. Glad to see Zander come on, shows he's at least in Brewster's plans.

  7. Brewster still has my backing (just), but he ****** up today, no doubt about it. A lot of the home games have, IMO been down to poor player performances as opposed to poor tactics, but he got nothing right today and I will be very disappointed if he does not come out and take the blame.

    Rooney

Surely must be the first striker on the teamsheet.
  9. Will be interesting to see how Vigurs copes against real quality opposition.
  10. Don't you think if he MUST become a Coach he would have become one by now? Eh? As with most professional players, Barry wants to get the most out of his professional career before turning to coaching. The man is 36. By your logic, Brewster should not be coaching, as I don't recall Brewster at 36 hanging up his boots and going in to coaching.
  11. Should we draw for example County away from home and demand>capacity for away tickets, would it be season ticket holders that get priority?
  12. Barry's days as a player are done in the SPL IMO. But he must stay as a coach.
  13. I'd have a fit and willing Kiegan Parker anyday. But a playboy and a whiner is the last thing our dressing room needs.
  14. Wouldnt disagree - would play Proc at rite back as Cellic really hone in on Rosscoe - Duff adds a bit of grit and pace and there is logic to keep Hastings - who probably wont cross the half way line anyway. But to me Duncan holds the key. Yup, Celtic know how to play Rosscoe, I'm not a big fan of either McGeady or Maloney, but one thing they both have is pace. If Rosscoe plows forward at every oppurtunity, he will have no chance of catching either of them. When they are running at him, he usually does ok, but I remember a few seasons ago we played Rangers at Caley Park, and lost 3-2. Rosscoe would burst forward to support the winger of the day (think it was Barry) and Chris Burke would just wait out wide with no full back to stop him.
  15. The most important part of the team will be the defence, as it is with every team at Parkhead. While I agree with most that say McBain should come in at left back, I would keep Hastings there for Saturday, he's experienced and (defensively) reliable. Proctor had a stinker at Ibrox, however I genuinely beleive that was down to him just returning from injury. Still our best defender IMO. Munro is the key, if he has a good game, we will have a slim chance of getting a point. If he's not at the races, Celtic will turn us over.
  16. Yup Don't agree with this idea that Imrie isn't that good technically, I think its more that he's adapting to the SPL and trying to find some consistency.
  17. Don't think the guys do polos, but worth a look. CTO Shop
  18. What impresses me most is Imrie's hunger for the game.
  19. Nail on the head. And why exactly are OAP's, kids and wifeys "jokes"?
  20. I'm happy for you but what means more to you ? winning a few bob or seeing our local team climbing the table & doing well ? I know which i'd prefer I think the reason Linwoodictsc is so pleased is that he can have his cake and eat it to.
