I thought the general consensous was that flunking at Dundee Utd made you therefore not good enough? Or is it one rule for some... I have never cited his failure at Dundee United as an exclusive reason for why he shouldn't be in charge here. The simple differences are Brewster has not once demonstrated that he alone has managerial ability. Our 7 game unbeaten run or however long it was, was orchestrated by Donald Park and not by Brewster. Gordon Chisholm on the other hand, has demonstrated he has managerial ability with far less resources at an inferior level. Given the players we have, I think he would do a grand job up here. Feel free to selectively quote what I have said though Chisolm has been mentioned by a number of people. A number of people have also cited Brewster's failure at Dundee Utd as an exclusive reason why he shouldn't be in charge here. It was not a go at you, I merely quoted your point to give an example, as I am a lazy ****. I will disregard the last comment, as you and I both know thats not what I intended to do.

Coyle was a realistic target. Not now.

Yes, next! The only half-decent alternative so far. It should have been Coyle from the off, but it wasn't. As things stand, I still think Brewster can turn it round. I thought the general consensous was that flunking at Dundee Utd made you therefore not good enough? Or is it one rule for some...

Proctor
Baffling? I think it was the wrong decision, but its hardly baffling to put Proctor, a versatile and experienced defender, over a player that would be making only his 5th SPL start at arguably the most difficult venue in the entire calender. If Duff had had a stinker rather then Proctor, Brewster would be tactically inept for playing a 20 year old in his first full season of competetive football at centre back.

Proctor
So Prcotor has one poor preformance after being out all season at Ibrox, and suddenly he should go. Oh dear. This is the man people have been clamouring to get into the team for months. Defensively, he's by far and away our best player.

Is Blackie Injured?
It's not my summing up of Black. Its what he brings to a 4 man midfield chasing the game. Contrary to the opinions of most, Black is not an attacking minded midfielder. He works best when he is the anchorman of a 5 man midfield, where he can boss the game as he see's fit. He always shows himself to the defenders, turns, and looks wide for Cowie/Imrie/Wilson. He has wonderful balance, and he plays the game at his pace, spreading the ball across the middle of the park. In games againts more talented opposition, he is frequently, if not always our best player. When played in a game where we should be the team on the front foot, he struggles, he is not a defence splitting passer of the ball, and he doesn't drive forward with the ball the way Cowie and Imrie do. IMO Problem?

Is Blackie Injured?
Yes, in a game we are chasing, we really missed Black passing backwards and sideways and looking pretty. :thumb04: :018: ;) Whats funny?

Section G singing
Agreed. Over complicated songs will not work at home games. Simple, loud effective chants, lead by the drum are your best bet at a bit of noise.

Best goal of the last week in the EPL.
In terms of pure football ability, Richardson's goal was the best. Most crowd pleasing, Berbatov's piece of magic. If Lampard meant it, it was pure genius. I'll go for Richardson's though, almost inch perfect. Oh yeah, and Bentley's was a hit and hope.

Experienced forward required in January
Steven Milne was talked about in the summer. Terrific player.

Falkirk -V-ICT : matchnight thread
Should we? Falkirk are, like it or not, a bigger club than ICT. Better crowds, finances, budgets for wages and transfers as well as a much better stadium. Closely matched perhaps but I certainly don't think we should be looking at them as easily disposable. Better run then ICT, but I wouldn't say they were the bigger club.

cup tradition
Christie's is no better.

cup tradition
He is kinda right, pretty sure two semi finals and a Bells Cup is the least amount of cup success of any current SPL team, 14 years old or otherwise.

Novo for Scotland?
The Nacho Novo that hit 25 goals in the SPL in one season with Rangers, I would take in a flash. The Novo that has fallen down the ranks at Rangers to such an extent that he is now behind a player that himself cant get a game for Scotland, no thanks. I have no problem with it as long as they give there all for the jersey. Whereas I don't beleive Morrison etc do, I am convinced that Novo would. He has long talked about his love for Scotland, and has I think both a Scottish wife and Scottish kids. Never gives anything less then 110% which is more than can be said about a fair few.

Brewster
Give him to December and have faith. The big problem this season has not been the defence but the strike force. Rooney is just beginning to flourish, and Barrowman is still carrying a knock. If by December those two have not clicked, I will finally concede that Brewster is not the man for the job.

Spurs sack Ramos
Ramos' side will just begin to gel as Redknapp takes over. Thus giving Redknapp all the credit.

Hamilton vs Rangers
Do be I honest I struggle to feel any sympathy for the boy. As for Rangers (and Celtic) fans, they have always been tw ats of the higherst order.

Decisive season.
Never seen a league quite so tight, we can quite literally beat anyone on out game. The important thing for us will be to stay on our game, instead of playing in fits and starts.
