  1. Barry looked a yard off the pace this afternoon and I'd have liked to see Morgan on at half time; Blackie's passing was poor in the first half; could Fraser have done better with Arfield's volley? (the commentators thought not). Anyway, sod that, what a brilliant afternoon :021: Should have been 6-1, superb performances almost all round, well worth the win. Can't agree with Brew's post-match comment about our heads not going down when Falkirk scored their first - we definitely went flat for a few minutes - but the belief and confidence came flooding back, something which we've struggled with in recent times after conceding. The best I could do was pick a team of the match. Onward and upward :003:

Were any of the 'Denzil can't really hack it at SPL level' faithful at the game today? If not, please watch the highlights on Monday and post pics of the looks on your faces as you witness a well-taken first but sheer, pure, mouth-watering vintage Wyness for the fourth goal. Watch out, our top goalscorer of all time has his shooting boots back on :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03:

I guess the 'is that it?' sentiment comes from the same dark corner of the imagination which saw us expecting to see Warnock in the dugout. Even without the supposed delays caused by the switch in management we were hardly going to see the finest defenders in the world kicking down the door to sign. I didn't want Brew but he's here and he's brought in what he could. All I can do now is shout ("bollocks!"), and hope we see some decent football :003: Didn't sound too bad today.
  4. I noticed that too :015: Found it quite endearing, which is worrying me. Must not like Brew.... must not like Brew.... :014:
  5. Hear hear. I sincerely hope one or the other emulates Dunfermline in pursuing European competition whilst getting relegated :001: Nah, it's quite nice, in a teeth-grindingly nasty kind of way because of who it is, to see a Scottish club in action in Europe and actually getting somewhere. I hope you do ok (ish)

  7. Tapping him up and slagging him off are the answers. In alternating weeks he should be offered a good managerial post (one goal for current club) then slagged off by the fans of the prospective employer (two goals for current club). With hundreds of top-class clubs recognised by FIFA and only a year or so left in CB he'd be guaranteed 57 goals per season for the remainder of his career and we'd win the Champions League at least once. Sorted without any need for the mystical nonsense :003:

  9. both of which Broonie never got sorted: Dods did the shouting. Did we hire two shrinking violets in gloves, or is there some coaching going wrong?

I'm sure you are, if you're one of the 'I supported Brewster from the start and I'm now going to laugh at the people who didn't' bams. So, to anyone who falls into that group - if you're a Labour supporter and your candidate wins, do you immediately run around to your Lib Dem neighbour and start laughing at him for accepting that the candidate he wanted isn't going to be representing him, and the one that he didn't want is? Do you take the p!ss out of him because he doesn't embark on a campaign of civil disobedience in protest? Would you call him a traitor because he emigrated rather than live under a government he doesn't agree with? Do you feck (if you do please leave a message for IHE because the mentally ill intrigue him). Yet there are people telling Mee she's not a fan because she's boycotting games, probably the most principled stand of the lot. They seem to find it extremely amusing when folk say 'aye, I don't want Brew, but he's here so let's make the best of a bad job'. These people should get their short pants and white socks out and get back to the bloody playground. This is supposed to be fun, boys and girls, we have a bit of gossip, a bit of banter and yes, a bit of aggro, but cyberspace doesn't mean you have to behave like yer kids on Bebo. Ner ner ner ner ner! :001:

Sheesh, I don't know about you pal, but if I don't like a book I stop reading it - I don't write to the author to tell them it's a pile of crap. Here you are, using the same mechanism that those who don't like the way things have gone use to let off steam, to moan that you don't like the way they've gone about it. Pot... kettle... At the end of the day it's a bit of fun, Hello! meets the News 'n' Screws. Mee and Caley100 are on opposite sides of the fence on this, but do you reckon she's gonna chin the guy next time she sees him? Well, she might if he botches her car :004: Are the board preparing legal action against IHE et. al? Doubt it. <--In a comedy Scouse accent--> Calm down, calm down!

You have to get behind someone to stab them in the back :014: Ach well, I'm with kingsmills on this one, not a fan of the man but definitely a fan of the club so I guess it comes to the same thing. Please Brew, no more boring one-dimensional crepe if we can help it (not that we've been treated to a feast at home for quite some time). I know results are paramount just now but, if you get us out of this hole, could we maybe see the team playing with a little style? Like we saw during the first half on Saturday... :019: 'Mon the Caley Jags :021:
  13. :021: Too duntish to say more.

He usually doesn't pass accurately. You cannot say (well, yes, of course you can, but you'll be wrong) that for a golden spell last season Russell didn't pass at least competently. On occasion he came close to the Liam Keogh that could have been. What dismays me is that he can go through a purple patch in passing terms and then start giving the ball away again. Someone on the coaching staff needs to take the guy in hand - if you've done it once you can do it again
  15. It's too early in Marius' ICT career to talk about lack of pace. It's too early in Rory's career to compare him to Marius.
  16. Well, it's not nice but it's a term used to describe someone who you feel has betrayed you. Does betrayal have a legal definition? I don't know. Am I going to spend the next hour researching betrayal down the years? Am I feck. How about a maybe? :016: Back to topic, eh? Bless...
  17. You make it sound like there's been widespread character assassination going on here. Emotions have been running high but, unless I'm missing something most of the criticisms have been either performance-related or to do with the manner in which he left the club (and targeted players). I can't think of many which haven't been grounded in fact - the moderators would have been forced to remove any that weren't. 'Brewster is a nob-head' or 'Wanderer likes sheep and not just for dinner' would be examples of personal abuse. 'We played crap under Brewster' is a valid opinion, surely?
  18. Agreed, Barry threatened to turn the second half around, and might have managed to if we hadn't already been shafted. I reckon he could fit into the middle (he roams all over the shop anyway) and leave room for Zander on the wing.
  19. Aww, I wuv you :001:
  20. Agreed. The main author of your problems over the last few years is still in position though.
  21. You might want to put a bit more iron into your irony - otherwise you're just left with... y?
  22. I guess people daring to suggest that is based on awkward little facts like ICT finishing ahead of you in every single one of our SPL seasons and your tendency to flirt with the bottom of the table before hauling your little orange bottoms out of the frying pan :016:
  23. You wot?!? At least their keeper had some saves to make today, and if Caff had been expecting the pace Niculae put on that cross it'd have been a belting goal. We squandered some chances, as we often do, but you can't blame today's result on anything but the defence.
  24. County, Morecambe, Oldham and Avispa Fukuoka (used to live there). Had a cracking trip down to Wembley to see Morecambe win the playoff final last season, though 1200 miles in 2 days was a bit much.
