Assume media having a well earned day off?

    Well earned?

Our internal media did next to nothing in the build up to the game, posted about 12 updates during the game and an amateur hour video of the players on the pitch at the end.

The old media team had fans bouncing in the build up, posted plenty of match updates (also more entertaining/interesting ones) and had reports online before we were home in previous seasons.

CTO reports are miles better, and I don't miss the club stuff that much, but the idea that they're having a well earned day off is pushing things!

I get a bit fed up with the negativity on the site lately regarding both the cup and the league. If something is possible, then I think in our role as fans we should be trying to bring out the best in our team. In my opinion, the way to do this is by showing them that we respect them as individuals and as a team and that we have faith in them to do their best to get the job done.

Go Caley Thistle, give it your best shot and have a fabulous day.:ictscarf:🏆

I don't see much negativity in regards to the team/players.  The majority of criticism has been directed at management, tactics and off the field events.

Sorry, I missed yesterday’s game but once again we came from behind and got a result, albeit a draw rather than a win.

That doesn’t strike me as a team and squad that are only focussed on the cup.

As you say, you weren't at the game.  You can't judge an entire performance on a single lucky break.

Young Dan MacKay has come in for a bit of stick this year and it is disappointing that he hasn't fulfilled his early promise.  But it was great work from him to drive into the Dundee defence and get the ball across to Austin Samuels.  Hopefully this will give him a bit of confidence and allow him to make a positive contribution.  Great to see Austin Samuels back in the goals too.  The ball bounced very awkwardly for him and he did really well to control it and quickly poke it past the keeper.  Absolutely agree with RiG about Shaw being played in a number 10 role.  He is so much more effective playing wide.  Don't understand the logic of this.  Missed Sean Welsh and hope he is not going to be missing for the SF.

You may want to watch the highlights to refresh your memory on the goal, without the blue and red tinted specs!

Mackay was tenacious in bundling his way into the box, but his 'cross' hit two other players before luckily dropping into the path of Samuels to bundle it home.  It was far from a great goal, other than in importance to our play off chances!

We stole a point from a game which we should have got nothing, thankfully!

  4. It was a privilege to have seen him in action for the last time at Aaron Doran's testimonial dinner.

He was never afraid to crack a joke about anyone or anything, even when they were in the room.  His quips about the club finances and the concerts had a lot of people biting their lips to stop then from laughing, and the current CEO and Chairman were clearly unimpressed and didn't share in the humour, leaving shortly after!

    Thank you Bill, and goodnight.

  5. I wasn't that surprised by yesterday's performance.  Typical from a team where most of them will be away at the end of the season, so the league is secondary to risking their place in next week's Scottish Cup Semi Final.

  6. Who cares?  They're a 2 bit amateur outfit who's existence, regardless of name, makes them entirely inconsequential to us.

Given the problems at our own club, I think some people have their priorities all wrong.

We have Mr Inverness enjoying the game...or a game...on his phone.

Thankfully for Gordy Fyffe, Director seats have built in commodes...but clearly Mr Fraser behind him is still catching a whiff!

Grassa having a snooze.  Impossible to tell from an image if he's inebriated, so please nobody suggest it.

The 3 Witches...rumoured to be the source if the magic keeping Billy Dodds, Scot Gardiner and John Robertson in a job.

A very disinterested (or worried) looking Chairman...nice to actually see him in public, though.

Behind the Chairman...he might be wearing shades, but Beaker from the Muppets is fooling nobody.

    Any other observations?

I’d imagine the Supporters Club had prices for all main venues, including Glasgow, for the full season, whereas the club will be arranging one off hires for the day so may well be being charged more. There is a driver shortage and I’d suspect companies like D&E were already heavily committed before we made the semi final. I know of someone who was quoted £1000 for a one way coach hire from Inverness to Clava in June so the club may not be profiting from the £28 charge at all.

Then maybe the club should have left it to the Travel Club who already had agreed prices in place and not have got ahead of themselves 🤷‍♂️

Fans have done a pretty amazing job of organising buses and trains over the years, and there was no need for the club to get involved and give themselves extra work.
