It's beyond promises of change and doing things differently for me. We've had over 5 years of that and nothing has improved, quite the opposite.
We're at the point where we need to see action from the club. That's too late for me this season as I've already decided not to renew my season ticket, and I get the feeling it's the same for many others.
The damage is done and the best we, and the club, can hope for is repairing it for future.
I still want the best for the team on the park and will cheer them in from afar, but it's impossible to separate any financial support for the team from also financially supporting those who have become a cancer to ICTFC and I refuse to spend a penny with them. I'm even giving consideration to extending that personal boycott to sponsors and advertisers as well in the hope that in some small way that will encourage them to pursue an end to this madness.

Chairman Rae was an exceptional Chairman - always friendly, spoke to fans and held a few open meetings with fans if I remember correctly. He replied to my emails, invited me to Boardroom, and to this day acknowledges and chats to fans whenever he’s around. Our CEO would do well to do the same.
He definitely had charm, but that was the only thing that set him apart from the current incumbent.
Let's not forget that it was he and the rest of Muirfield Mills who started the club on the descent it currently finds itself on.

I don't remember this much consternation when Kirk Broadfoot - who was given a 10 match ban whilst a Rotherham player for sectarian abuse of James McClean - signed for us.
Just saying, like.
There definitely was.

No that’s not at all what I’m saying. He’s an idiot who deserved the punishment and condemnation that he got. Hopefully he has learned from it, especially if he ends up signing for us.
It may not be what you mean, but it's definitely the impression your post gave.

The role of SLO is one which all clubs competing in UEFA competitions must have under article 35 of the UEFA Club Licensing&Fair Play regs.
Interestingly,I had a call from the Chairman today and I advised of my own concerns re communication and that of other fans.I didn't say I would print what was said,so to be proper I will not go into detail here.We had a robust honest exchange of views and he listened to what I had to say.He said he would take on boards my points and he directed me to Gordon Fyfe, SLO. I covered my issues with the person covering this role also and I am now waiting a response from the SLO.
Suffice to say I haven't renewed my season ticket yet until I hear what the SLO says.
As it stands I am not convinced there will be change soon.
Reading between the lines, it sounds like the call didn't go that well, especially if it didn't do anything to convince you that things would change.

Alongside McKay I don’t mind this, but it better not be his replacement.
25 minutes ago, Yngwie said:To be fair, we’d have fared better last season if we had a player like Lafferty, Graham or Whyte. We’ve lacked a physical presence up front for years.
I don't think anyone is questioning footballing ability.
Did we learn nothing from the Gardyne situation and the dangers of signing players with a disruptive history?

Hoping that given his history, he is involved in the medicals and risk assessment for our summer signings and we wont see repeats of the 'injury crisis' from this season.................
He's too busy setting up shell companies for unscrupulous former bankrupts who have an interest it taking over football clubs with other people's money.

There's a significant number of posts on this forum from fans whom have tried to communicate with the club and got zero response. Are some now suggesting we have to pay to join the trust to have any chance of receiving such a courtesy?

If Billy goes, I look forward to the highest paid, least valuable person at the club releasing a statement about wage caps and not letting players hold the club to ransom, blah, blah, blah.

A couple of newspapers now confirming that Ayr are set to sign Billy, so it's more than just Twitter Talk.

That's fine. Its just as a member of the trust I get regular newsletters which I assume only members get? The more members the Trust has the louder the voice.
How does it encourage new members if they don't tell anyone outside the organisation what they're doing?

We get flurries of communication every now and then, but it often tells us nothing and is just noise.
Proper fan engagement, unless you're a pet podcaster or kindergarten 94, is non existent, and the fan experience is the worst it has ever been.
Where's the kids meet and greets, the big game they were promised, the xmas party, end of season awards night? These are the very basics.
Customer service is also poor, as already documented by others.
They rely too much on fan loyalty, but everyone is losing patience and that is diminishing.
Complain and you get the 'poor us' we're a small team and doing our best. We have more employees than we ever had, and are somehow struggling to a greater extent?

Hopefully whatever 11 year old Scot Gardiner gets to write his statements will have more time when the schools break up for the summer and Information will get out a bit quicker.

Taking a chance on another player who is recovering/just back from an injury?
Did we learn nothing from last season?

Sounds like Billy has an option of another season if HE wants it, but is maybe trying to negotiate for a longer contract?
Given where we are, I'd have thought the club would be biting his hand off to get two years out of him. He's got at least that left in him at Championship level, and if by some miracle we go up, he'd be a handy player to have in the squad for our first year in the top league whether a regular starter/90 minute player or not.

To get money for players, you actually need to have players who are worth anything, and they have been in very short supply at ICTFC the last few years.
-
Some people seem to have forgotten we just finished in the bottom half of one of the weakest Championship leagues in a long time!
The fact some are trying to spin it as a successful season shows the current level of our ambition!

The last figure we have for the club's financial performance is an £800k loss. The money mentioned that Robbo had a hand in securing was for the academy thing. They are a separate entity to the club, so it adds zero financial benefit to us.
The club were quick to distance themselves from the liabilities of the concert company set up in our name, so they can't have it both ways. If Robbo is working for the new academy project, he should be employed and paid by them. The result if which would be a huge chunk out of that income.
This constant blurring of the lines by our CEO means that we don't have anything approaching a clear picture of what's going on. It's all just noise which is designed to distract.

Whatever it is, it can't be worse than the concert fiasco....can it?!

We'll have rented the carparks to some construction company for £50 a week.

Aye ok then, we're a Premiership team.
Just happen to be languishing in the Championship for a few years!
We're clearly not, but it has nothing to do with lack of resources and everything to do with how they're being used.

This the same chairman who publicly stated he knew nothing about running a football club, which is why he brought in Gardiner. It should be no surprise to anyone.
