I've never been a supporter of Hibs but I really thought they had something a little while ago. A team that could go somewhere with free-flowing football. Yogi then started a bit more long-ball (an 'end product' as he put it) but Calderwood has been painful to watch.

I see Liam Miller has now gone to Australia. Under Yogi, he looked a real catch, even vying for PotY. Yet, Calderwood had him sky-watching as the ball sailed over his head. Other players with a bit of passing talent, like Riordan, Rankin and de Graaf were the same. Superfluous to a team going nowhere.

Calderwood has potentially put Hibs on the road to relegation. I don't much care about that. But I did think they could have made a real dig for third place, cutting a few points of the OF and making the league more exciting. It's been a disastrous reign with decent players sidelined with disastrous tactics. In fact, it reminds me of Brew at DU then back to ICT.

The only talent i seem to recall De Graaf posessing was the ability to miss open goals.

I agree with what your saying, last season they had the likes of Stokes, Miller, Riordan, Brown all hitting full form and imo they were the best side in the league for playing football. Stark contrast to this season where they have been totally dire. But Hibs are paying the price for their lack of stability. 5 managers in 5 years is hardly helpful. Thats 5 different people with different ideas, approaches and plans.

Calderwood obviously feels that the squad is in need of a refurbishment and whether fans agree with him or not he is the manager and what he feels is best will be done.

I think what Starchief says is right though, they are heading for big problems on the horizon unless they can seriously strengthen their team. Its probably the quickest demise i have seen of a team in a long time, or one that hasnt involved administration anyway.

I agree however I do think Calderwood is a good manager, it will likely take him a long time to get the team where he wants but I think he's capable.

Whether he'll get the time to do so however I doubt very much.

And will Management give Calderwood the money?

The likes of Miller , who was excellent, speedy, direct and a bit of heart and push, will be missed.

Rebuilding can be a bitter and slow process but it's really sad to see the decline of Hibs up to this point.

I watched them for 6 years in the 'sixties' and they always had a bit of success and were an entertaining team to watch--Pat stanton and all.
