Jambos game

Got a tip from a Jambo re the game just before Xmas.

Apparently there is a club (Beechwood Bowling Club) round the corner from Tynecastle that allows away fans (as long as they behave).

You just have to apply for a day ticket in advance on 0131 337 3081.

Worth a try I think as I am taking the kids to Edinburgh for that one!?

Diggers will do for me.  No ticket needed and if you are taking children then you will be able to get them in, so Ross you are safe and will be able to get in and stay in this time.

Diggars is great craic, but get in early if you are taking kids as they are only allowed in the snug area at the back and it gets pretty mobbed.  :021: :021:

The bowling club is the Caledonian (how apt) and it is on Russell Road, where the away supporters' coaches park.  The Caley Sample Room (apt again), just along Angle Park Terrace from Diggers, is also good and less congested.  It is the Caledonian Brewery's own pub and serves good lunches as well as great pints of Deuchars and other Caley beers.

The Ardmillan hotel is also good, not sure if away colours are allowed though??? Tynecastle is my favourite away day, always a great atmosphere. Looking forward to it! :003:
