Who is the most overated player in the SPL?  In my opinion, it has to be between the useless Jan Venegoor of Hesselink and Nakamura.  Never understood why people loved Nakamura so much, sure he's good at free kicks but what else does he do?  Nothing.  And then there's Barry Ferguson, who I've never really rated either.

McGeady - i fail to see why he's as hyped up as he in the press, is it just because he's at celtic  :024:

Ferguson - a crab playing football

Diamond - a strange one this, i just dont rate the guy as a footballer.

McGuire - a lower 1st division defender at best  :023:

The question was 'who is the most over-rated player'. It seems to have turned into a 'who is the worst'. To be over-rated one needs to be rated first. The majority of SPL players, in my mind, are rated pretty equally. Most have good times and bad. The over-rating tends to come when the press intervene, especially with internationalists. i.e Miller, who isn't shining down south, but if he were dropped from the Scotland squad there'd be calls for his head. Pressley being another one. And, of course, Ferguson.

Whenever I see Kirk Broadfoot I not only think of him as out of his depth but also feel he is the SPL's most intellectually challenged player.

You mean Pressley now or you never rated him?  At Hearts I thought he was the best defender Scotland had at the time.  Never really recovered from injury.
