April 27, 200818 yr I don't think Dennis Wyness should be offered another contract and after seeing his performance yesterday and over the last few weeks, I suspect most others agree. Sure, he was great in the past but he's awful now. What does everyone else think?
April 29, 200818 yr I don't expect Wyness to be banging in the goals like he used to, but as I said earlier in the thread, he did a great job holding the ball in the last third and allowing us to get players forward. Been a long time since I've seen us get so many bodies in the box other than on set pieces and the pay-off was 3 goals. As things stand we have nobody else who has shown they are capable of filling that role, and that's where I see the current value in holding on to Wyness. It's inevitable that he will get his chances at goal, and once he's shaken off the cobwebs of having been out for a while he'll make more from those chances than he perhaps did against Killie. Unless we have someone better lined up then we can't afford to lose him.
April 29, 200818 yr The way Brew has us playing now, we don't need players with skill. Just big lads who can graft and punt it long. So it's bye bye Denzil.
May 2, 200818 yr This forum is ****. Wyness is a legend and remains, with the possible exception of Niculae, the most skillful and intelligent player at ICT. So gtf.
May 2, 200818 yr i was at the hearts game and how wyness got so long on the pitch is beyond me he was very poor and yeah i thought seasons gone by he was the man best forward we had but not now time to move on
