The only rumours worth listening to are by Fleetwood Mac. Bottom line is that Butcher's job is to bring success to the club and he has done that this year. One of the sad things about football is that those players who do a fantastic job in getting the club to where they are, are then often judged by the manager to be not good enough to take the club further or to maintain that level. That can lead to bitterness and feelings, rightly or wrongly, that players have been treated unfairly. Have players been treated unfairly or, worse, bullied? I don't know and I'm not in a position to speculate - so I won't. What I would say is that if any players have been treated inappropriately then that is an internal matter for them and the club and I would hope that the Board would deal with any allegations appropriately. For my part I am very sorry to see fantastic servants of the club such as Roy, Russell, Grant and now, it appears, Ross leave the club, particularly in what would appear to be less than happy circumstances. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for the thrills and great entertainment they have given over the years. But I also look forward. Some excellent young players are contracted for next season and hopefully the manager will have done his job properly and signed up players with the promise to exceed the achievements of the great players they will be replacing. Next season will certainly be different and I for one can't wait!4 points

Awaits barrage of red dots ........ Tokes has and always will have legendary status at ICT. No one or anything that happens from here on in can change that. He has earned that and it will remain the case for ever. That said, if the manger has decided that that's all he's willing to offer from his budget and Tokes has decided it's not enough (pure speculation!) then there will be a parting of the ways. If that happens, then no one is to blame. TB is perfectly entitled to manage his budget accordingly and Tokes is perfectly entitled to go for more elsewhere. From a footballing perspective if (and I think it's a big if) Tokes was to leave, I don't think it would be then end of the world. All of us have enjoyed the best of his years and his body has taken a battering (many others too ) for the team. I think his best is behind him and that another season minght only damage his reputation not enhance it. I am far more concerned at the prospect of replacing a 30 year old left sided centre back at a sensible wage level than I would be about replacing Tokes. All said, I hope he stays!3 points

I reckon the best way to play Tade would be as a super sub kind of player. Picture the scene: Johnny Hayes has run amok, and thus tired out the old ramshackled defence of the opposition. Twenty minutes left and on comes big Gregory (how he can run at the speed he does given his build is a mystery!) to finally finish them off. Now THAT sounds like a plan.3 points

What I'm a bit confused about, is which deal did he actually turn down? Did he reject the offer to add another to his current contract which was an option and has since turned down a second deal? Or is this another thing altogether? I must say though, these one year deals cause nothing but trouble. We seem to go through the same thing every year!2 points

Ross has done alright from being an ICT player. He was fortunate to have been picked up by Pele and has been ever present since. How many players can claim to have played and won against every SPL & SFL team whilst playing for one team? If Terry wants to build his own team with his own players he should do it, but if it doesn't work us fans won't be so forgiving as we were in 2009.1 point

When a player has been at a club for SO many yeras he will inevitably take a while to adjust to another team. I hope he does well anyway. Butcher seems to be upending this team wilfully but, without details , salaries etc no one can say too much at this time. Without the stabilising factor of older long-term players being there to steady the ship it sure is difficult for me to see how a bunch of bright-eyed, bushy-tailed youngsters coming in fresh as new paint being successful in the SPL. Hope I am wrong.1 point

Every footballer now seriously looking after themselves / especially at the`veteran` stage of their careers Tokely likely to be trying for the best possible deal out of TB (guessing) Hopefully he`ll get it - not many teams have a rock like him. Remember he is also accomplished across any position in defence, can still get up &down the attacking right back spot & can hold a midfield spot down with skill. Plus of course a danger at set pieces & can score a handful of important goals. A big character & fans favorite !! As much as its sad to see grant & russell go they didnt bring the flexibility that Tokely has. He shouldnt be allowed to slip away -( to maybe Aberdeen waiting to snap him up)1 point

I know Im probably gonna get shot down in flames here but Im really worried about the way things are going team wise. Morale does appear to have gone down and when you meet players they do not seem as happy. I really really hope Im wrong and that Terry is right about this. Will just have to wait and see what happens over the nest few days and weeks. ps Hibs.net seems riddled with rumours re Adam Rooney as well but they were all wide of the mark in January. Hope they are rubbish this time too.1 point

Agree entirely with Smee and Charles that Caledonian FC, despite dropping their geographical prefix in fit of pique, Inverness Thistle and ICT have a proud combined history amounting in total to over 260 years and that it is wholly appropriate to celerbate all three tranches on this forum. Now, to business, I need a new rag to clean my car and will happily offer a quid for that ribbon of nylon and acrylic !1 point

Let's keep in mind that this is nothing more than a rumour, and a rumour that goes against previous statements saying that Rossco had activated his 1 year extension. Some people claiming to be "in the know" on this subject have already removed posts from this thread...maybe they now know they got it wrong? Who knows!!!0 points
