I completely agree with you Alex. You have summed up the problem in one. I think its unfair to blame Butcher for the performances this season. In my view it's all down to a lack of resources, if theres no money available how do you attract higher quality players able to turn things around. Buthcher can only work with what he has. Weez
  2. I asked about the singing section last wednesday and it was sold out then.
  3. Three great big hunks of love!!!!
  4. Got a confession to make Scotty - thought caley 100 might have pulled me up on it already!! I went to see pink week before last with my better half and some of her mates. I was pleasantly surprised too!
  5. Going to see Pink Scotty!!! B) What's the world coming to?!! Thought you were a rock n roller!!

I got my copy signed my the entire team. Believe Barry Wilson went to Livvy a couple of days later.
  7. Don't think it's really the result that people are concerned about. Its the fact that it's another poor home coupled with poor tactics and team selection. Think most peole would have happily taken 3 points from the last 2 games but would have hoped for the win at home and draw away. We want to see the players displaying a belief and passion that we simply aren't seeing. I don't buy this crap about the team playing poor at home due to the fans lack of encouragement. I hink its the opposite way round. It is up to the players to encourage the fans. At the moment what we're being subjected to is utter bollox.
  8. I'm finding it increasingly difficult to force myself to go to the football on a sat. Don't enjoy it all anymore. I was talking to my father about it last week and he said even getting to see the odd goal scored by our team into the north stand goal would be nice. It got me thinking and it does seem that almost every goal we score is scored into the away end. I dont suppose anyone has these kinds of stats but it would be interesting to see how many times we have scored into our own end over the last season.

I wasn't suggesting he does get a starting slot. Only pointing out that in the short amount of time he gets on the park, he is at least getting into positions that allow him to test the keeper (a lot more than the starting strikers are doing) and if he continues to do this he will knock one in soon.

    Any word on his injury?

Adam is getting a hard time from some people for "missing" a one on one with the keeper today. I think this is quite harsh. Rooney is lucky if he's getting 15mins a game at the moment, and from the games I have seen almost every week he is managing to get himself into the position for a one on one with the keeper. On almost every occasion the keeper is required to make a very good save. How often are our other strikers managing to get shots on target? I feel Rooney will come good, they reckon for every 4 shots on target you should score one. I reckon i've seen Rooney "miss" 4 one on ones recently, so my money would be on him tucking the next one away.
  12. Stratford was poor again, although his corners were good.
  13. What did you play at the end of the game last week caley d?
  14. How many shots did we actually manage on target today?
  15. What concerns me is that in all but one of our league games we have conceded 3 goals. 3 against County, 3 against Partick and 3 today against QoS. So our record at home in the league this season is - played 4 Won 0 Drawn 1 (0-0 v Ayr) Lost 3 (Partick, County and QoS) Goals scored 3 Goals against 9 Worrying stats.

There was a young lad (pre teen) in the north stand who was voicing his opinion repeatedly towards the end of the game. He was obviously as frustrated as the rest of us, but all he managed to achieve was to get the backs up of others around him to then began shouting up him to shut up. Felt quite sorry for him at the end.
  17. Bollox I am. The guy has played like that for years and gotten away with it. Now as one of the more senior and experienced players the expectation is on his shoulders and he simply doesn't have it.
  18. Sorry mate, but i disagree. Duncan is a woeful excuse for a professional football player. He can't jump, tackle pass the ball or shoot on target. However he is still better than stratford. Which is very concerning
  19. Heard that Butcher and Malpas approached the board this week and asked for a 5 year contract. Whether I believe it or not is a different matter.
  20. ANIMAL!!!!!
  21. Well Hayes was taking the majority of the crosses from that side, then as we really started pressing and dominating we decided to let our top scorer takes the set pieces when he should be in the box
  22. ...is bloody appallingut. We constantly got into dangerous positions and wasted cross after cross, corner after corner. So many of them went straight out of play. In our last attack of the game even esson came up and sanchez blasted the corner or free kick out of play. Esson gave him merry hell. Anyway, why was sanchez taking free kicks and corners anyway. A terrible result, but one of the most exciting games I've seen here for a long time. Although conceding 6 goals in two games is poor craic.
  23. Last trip down there a few years ago was an absolute blast!!!!
  24. Anyway - back on topic...............
