  1. I'm off the understandng that Duff will not be in the team today. Brewster claims he has the flu, which seemingly is untrue.
  2. "Brewster could again select Jamie Duff at right back at Love Street despite the 19-year-old being unfamiliar with the position. He said: ?It was Jamie?s first game against Dundee United in a new position, he had to deal with Craig Conway and it was a good experience for him. Conway is difficult to handle, a bit like Aiden McGeady. I would not have any second thoughts about putting Jamie in at right back on Saturday" Quote from Brewster from today's P&J.
  3. They have printed 3 posts from the forum, from Caley D, dead ball specialist and MissICT all of which are expressing the fans desperation. There is also a large article about the supporters club and how they are facing a potential crisis as they cant get enough people to come to away games. It also mentions us having the worst home record in the league. Ali Williamson the spokesman for the supporters club is quoted as saying "The fans are not happy, the home form speaks for itself and we are so frustrated. A lot of fans think Brewster's tactics are terrible and that he will eventually pay the price" Brewster said he was happy with Duff's performance at right back, He is also quoted as saying " The people in the crowd can make their own decisions, I am the manager and i've got to make the decisions for what I see best, but at the end of the day its the players on the park who are key."
  4. Have just read the tomorrows courier and it seems the local press are finally brave enough to print what the fans have been saying for months.
  5. We had no attacking threat down the right hand side at all on Saturday. Think a lot of people underestimate what Tokely brings to the side.
  6. The last ever game at Love Street I believe. So it will no doubt be an emotional day for the Saints fans. There will be a huge noisy crowd, and St Mirren will be as up for a game as they can be. I've got an image of my head of Wyness slotting home the first of a hatrick and running to the away dug out and giving Brewster a huge
  7. Just to clear things up for you 5th stand, Bingham legend comes on here telling us how things are and how the fans think things should be etc, yet he came on this site, several years ago telling us all that despite his "super ict fan" status he was now going to support Kilmarnock. I come on here and post my opinion about a game of football and you tell me to take a flying F*** I'm getting sick of this website to due to people like you, making comments like that.
  8. I find this all so disheartening. The heart really appears to have disappeared from our club. No matter what kind of post you put on here someone is always ready to take a swipe at you. From my perspective that was an average home performance, we played terrible and lost. We played with players in wrong positions, Cowie was utter mince, if he thinks he's walking into a top six team with perofrmances like todays then he is very wrong. Barrowman didn't score again. But then has he really been given the chance, he has only started 2 or 3 games this season, but yet he is (like wood) the inexperienced player who should be feeding off an more streetwise striker, should we expecting so much from him? The fans round about me were screaming abuse at him like everythings his fault. Granted he didnt score but i dont recall him having many if any opportunities, yes his passing and ball distribution was poorbut then so was proctors, duncans, imries and cowies. Curiously Brewster has decided not to play Barrowman for the majority of the season, yet the week following Barrowman's newspaper story about not getting a chance he is in the starting team. Wood has been the chosen striker for Brewster to favour but finds himself dropped, and Rooney the classiest of all 3 hasn't featured for long enough. Am i alone in thinking we missed Tokely today? We had no attacking threat on our right hand side at all today as Brewster chose to play Proctor (a right back) in the centre of defence and Duff (a centre half) at right back, which led to Duff being put in many uncomfortable positions as he obviously isn't used to being an attcking threat. The only attacking players we had today were Imrie, who brewster subbed first and Hastings. He then put Vigurs (left footed) on the right and Cowie (right footed on the left). The second we are in trouble Brewster then surprise surprise puts on a second striker. The difference was clear for everyone. Brewtser was in the paper this week asking for the fans to get behind the team and asking us to understand why he persists in playing one up front. In my mind Brewster has to go. Regardless of who comes into replace him. But to offer him a new deal is in my mind ludicrous. I am fast becoming disinterested in the football and today found myself wanting to be anywhere except down the longman. The kids i take have dropped in number from 13 to 6, my father missed his first game in years. This is simply due to the quality of football on display. On the other hand though, is it a disgrace to get beat 3-1 by the team in 3rd place? To be honest I dont really care anymore.
  9. I think that all the supporters who get fed up with things should just go and support kilmarnock
  10. Obviously I got you on a bad day Gillian ! I just think that Tokely is made the scapegoat time after time by some posters, yet IMO he consistently gives 100%. I have no issue re dropping players who under perform, but this must be consistent across the board.
  11. Dropping Tokely after 2 of his best performances of the season, why?
  12. Does anyone have a spare phone they could give me for nothing or small fee. My one died and i'm lost without it. Will be getting upgrade but not till Jan 09. So need something to see me through till then. Would need to be an 02 network, i already have sim card. I'm used to sony ericssons but will be grateful for anything!! If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.
  13. I think comparing Brewster and ferguson is impossible. One is a manager who commands respect from his player, through years of success as a manager and apparently knows how to get the best out of his players, the other is Brewster. Who has next to no managerial experience, has had no success, and appears to have lost the dressing room. So yes i would say it is ok for ferguson to have tantrums esp as its done within the privacy of the dressing room
  14. Very sorry for boring you Chris. If you don't like the thread then don't post on it. Simple as. With regard to me talking "Crap" - I don't think i can actually recall the manager offering any constructive advice whatsoever. The assistant manager spent most of his time arguing with the fourth official and our goalkeeping coach (think his highest level at playing was 1st division and now he's coaching premier league players, hmmm) spent his time making eyes at all the County players sitting behind the home dug out. Think we've got a great managerial team !!!!!
  15. I was sat behind the home dug out on sat, as i was interested to see at close quarters as i was interested to see how much involvement he actually has in what's going on. In my opinion there was very little in the way of communication between Brewster and the players. The only 2 notable exceptions were when Barrowman lost the ball, and Brewster flipped his lid, starting shouting and raving and immediatley screamed for Gary Wood to get ready to come on. Not long after going on Wood lost out for the ball and again Brewster's reaction surprised me. He screamed at wood and the look on the poor young lads face said it all. He was like the poor kid at school who had really let down his dad. We have a very inexperienced strike force, and brewster should be trying to build their confidence not destroying it. Brewster remember was a class striker. Why has he been unable to pass on any of his skill/ability to his young players. It would be unforgivable if Wood or Barrowmans careers suffered due to poor management.
  16. ....night as I went to eden court to see Vampires Rock with Weez. First game i've missed in years. Going as normal tomorrow but with a feeling of dread and impending doom. You never know though, i may be wrong and be pleasantly surprised...............................but only if i find out that Toyah Wilcox is our new manager!!

    Hello all!

Greetings and salutations! What type of work are you looking for uphere?
  18. Sounded like a great performance and a great result, come the end of the month we willhave a clearer picture of how the season will go
  19. I happen to have 2 footballing licenses, the early touches and the next one. In fact did them along with Spider, Golly, Mike Teasdale and Paul Sheerin. Any chance of a job Grassa? I've wondered if the pleb of a goalkeeping job actually does anything to deserve a salary. idnt he come from County? To be the goalkeeping coach for an spl club?
  20. So regardless of us losing by the odd goal, or there not being anyone as a standout replacement, we're not exactly jumping the gun at wanting a change. Could we defend a board of directors who refuse to make a chance in management if the team were to go 7 or 8 defeats in a row?

    Proctor

Following all the Tokely bashing we've had this season and so many people calling for proctor to start, i beleve Proctor was gash yesterday. Wonder if he'll folllow Brewster out the door again?
  22. We have now gone 5 in a row defeated, I'm just curious as to what other losing runs led to other managers dismissals? For example, does anyone know the runs the following teams/managers were on when they got the chop? Pele at Aberdeen Brewster at Utd CC before he resigned Alex Rae at Dundee Whatsisname at Spurs Robertson at Hearts
  23. Is it still called off the ball? Anyway, did anyone here the two ICT fans making their points? Dont think i've heard an ICT fan on it before. What do you all make of their views?
  24. As i said on another thread elsewhere. Brewster came to us with NO management experience at all. There must be a hundred and one potential managers out there who would want our job who have no experience. I honestly believe that NO ONE could do a worse job than Brewster is. We have 6 games in November, 2 against the old firm and 2 against the edinburgh teams. I fear that come the 1st of Decemember our season will be over.
