  1. What a resourceful chap.
  2. I had a wee search as I'm sure the story appeared in the Record or Sun but no luck. January 2009, ICT bottom of the table, more detached than this time iirc. Hamilton take the lead and the ICT fans wave their shoes in the air singing "shoes off, if you hate Brewster" to the tune of "Go West". Brewster was sacked on the Monday and ICT, despite a famous victory at Ibrox pulling us briefly off the bottom, were relegated under Terry Butcher.
  3. Jimbo trying to look happy wearing that green number
  4. Some of these goals still bring the hairs up on the back of your neck. The Doran one to make it 3-1 v County, we should have been out of sight at half time, then we were hanging on a bit and Doran scored halfway through a chorus of 'wise men say'
  5. The guide at Hampden said we got the East (away) dressing room for the Cup Final which is traditionally unlucky but being ICT that never bothered us. Can't remember if he said anything about the semi final.
  6. Here's a reminder of happier days not so long ago
  7. 8 years since the famous "shoes off" occasion. Absolutely awful weather, a 20 minute walk from the pub in gales and rain and the most ill I've ever been at a football match. So who's going?
  8. When this latest deal was finalised, the BBC admitted that it was operating on commercial grounds rather than "community" or whatever grounds you might call it. In other words, they've stopped pretending that they serve all of us.
  9. Away tickets in EPL are now pegged at £30 thanks to protests by the fans, who actually wanted a ceiling of £20. Compare this to a game v Liverpool at the Etihad about 3 years ago where I paid £55 for a very average seat in the away end. FA Cup prices tend to be even lower nowadays. In our case £26 or so to attend CP for a league game is not realistic. £16 or so would be more like it if we had the same clout as the English fans. I usually give the league games at CP a miss but will go this time as ICT get a share of the ticket price. Somebody mentioned part-time football. Scottish clubs will be part time soon enough due to having the EPL on the doorstep. In the greedfest which the EPL has become, the fans could actually be let in for free and it would not significantly affect turnover. The only hope for the game is if Sky goes tits up.
  10. No, it tells you that Chick Young is a complete roaster, but you probably knew that anyway. Now have you heard the one about Charles mixing up a team from Annan with one from Midlothian
  11. To think this is the man who made Every Picture Tells A Story. Cringe.
  12. Up to us to stop the treble again
  13. Laughing at yer ain patter
  14. Haha this is kids stuff compared to p&b. You gave as good as you got with your caravans and suchlike Anyway it'll probably be Forfar going up so good luck in the playoffs
  15. Don't worry we're well aware we're the worst team in the league on current form. Unless we improve we're down. If your league games are bigger does that mean you go on the Forfar forums and noise up the locals about how you've sold 2000 tickets and so on? Does your buddy the talking boot have some decent patter for the Arbroath and Forfar fans or does he stick to Gordies and Sambas?
  16. I've seen quite a few teams in the bottom league over the past few years and Elgin aren't any better, so no headscratching from me considering it was their biggest game of the season. Stirling Albion came nearer to beating us last year which I admit isn't saying much.
  17. Well you shat in your own nest in 1993 so it'll never happen. Here you are, 16 years in league 2 with crowds of 600 and we get to take on the ugly sisters and go on wee trips to Hampden for cup finals and nice wee European jaunts in the sunshine
  18. Gutted at missing this. Been in bed last 2 days with a chest infection. Train tickets bought. Great result even though Caley100 tells me we were pish.
  19. Get on it now! 500-1 last five minutes
  20. Free Money!!! 10 mins to go Elgin 300-1 on bet365
  21. I was on bet365 but I think Bbc OAM is way ahead of the betting companies. edit - neck and neck that time sigh of relief
  22. Who have they killed in modern times?
