  1. It seems we are no longer discussing the match or having a mature debate whatever age we have reached. Closing the thread before it degenerates further.
  2. Curtis Allen scored for Glentoran yesterday as they went down 2-1 to Linfield in Bel Clasico at The Oval.
  3. That must be the same year they knocked out Hibs after a replay. I went to the first game at Easter Road and got a space at the front with my pal about an hour before kick off. We didn't have a chance to move again till full time. The crowd was 40000 and the Dons got a late equaliser. That was the year Berwick beat Rangers and Hibs beat them in the next round.
  4. But Tearlach wasn't in the Howden End but maintains the whole place was 'packed', and goes on to imply that some kind of fiddle happened. So either extra tickets were printed (unlikely, since I still have mine and it's numbered, so the printers would have to be in on the scam too), or a cash gate was opened (which surely couldn't have gone unnoticed at the time, or if it did, would surely have come out anecdotally over the next quarter century amongst some of the fans or the people who have been namedropped above).
  5. Why? It was set at a modest 5500, all-ticket. 1992, not 1952. If you had been in the Howden End you would have seen it wasn't even all that crowded. In fact, if you had ever been in any of the larger stadiums before the Ibrox disaster, instead of playing croquet or whatever it was you did back then, you would have filled your kecks
  6. They had a chance at the time when the other erse cheek caused the referee strike. If all the clubs had showed some cojones and resigned from the league and formed their own, the ugly sisters would have to play each other every week. That would have put the cat among the pigeons
  7. I see a fair bit of merit in that but as old caley girl says, you can't beat an awayday which fortunately is a big part of our culture. People who only watch home games get a one-dimensional view and think their team is actually better than it is. Hibs supporters, for instance, as I live amongst a lot of them: they tend to be quite snobbish about the type of football they play and over the years they have criticised our style of play as quite dirty at times. Under one or two of our managers it was hard to argue with that. However, many of the times Hibs have visited TCS, they have been absolutely hopeless. But I still feel that if we knew how many away supporters were at TCS, firstly we could applaud the ones who actually attended, which is what happens to our support, and secondly we would have ammunition when we get criticised by eejits on forums.
  8. The one we lost at Dens was in the early days of Brewster and we really should have won it. Against that, we've had a couple of lucky draws there recently.
  9. Alex, just a heads up from a fellow jerry * if you haven't heard about the Scotrail Club 50 offer of travel for £1 which you have to use before the end of October. I'm using it to come up for the Rangers game. *jerryatric
  10. Don, why don't we announce the away support like they do at Partick, Aberdeen etc? It would certainly shut up some people on P&B who like nothing more than a good crowdw**k.
  11. He had a decent game in the recent U21 International against FYR Macedonia. First half especially, I had forgotten what brilliant pace he had.
  12. I'm in KR REYKJAVIK social club and everybody's looking at me cos I've just shouted F****N YES!!!!!!!
  13. Come off it now, people who weren't at the game always know best.
  14. We've got a better defence than The Rangers.
  15. Aye remember the sad wee bluenose slinking out The Bobbin at full time yesterday
  16. They're really good mates. It wasn't unusual to see them turning up at LL games together before yogi got the gig at ours.
  17. More importantly, what pub are we meeting in? Haven't been at Pittodrie for a few years.
  18. A few familiar names from last year but the star striker Budescu who scored against us is playing in China with the exquisitely-named Dalian Yifang FC.
  19. Nah, the word he used was 'stocky'
  20. As long as you didn't send TopSix to buy it

  22. Raven was awful... Only shock today was we scored.
  23. I've got a cupboard full of ICT tops, leisurewear etc but who remembers the tie and scarf made out of the navy blue ICT tartan?
