  1. Aye it went straight to voicemail so it prob never showed as a missed call. Will prob go to ticket office before the pub as it will get busy. Usual haunts? Diggers or Caley SampleRoom I suppose. Sorry for O/T
  2. Cheers Don, saves me phoning the club, been trying to get hold of Johndo to see if he still wants one
  3. Pretty simple as far as I can recall. Since Hearts came back up, unlike everybody else, they are not 'desperate to get fans through the gates' but can pretty much guarantee filling Tynecastle every game. So there's no point in giving us half the Roseburn if only 200 turn up. I don't like it either but that's life.
  4. I was saying that after about 20 mins it was very similar and only a couple of miles up the road. We played just as badly but the margins are fine. Alloa played one decent ball into the box and we screwed it up. We didn't deal with it. Mind you I don't think Stirling got any closer than a couple of efforts from far out, but there's always the risk of a deflection.
  5. The very fact that you dredged up, as evidence, games that were quickly forgotten by everybody else kind of kills your argument though. Yet another case of everybody being oot o step except oor Tearlach
  6. Apart from possibly Queen's at home, or Partick in the Cup, last night was the worst ever. Ask anyone who was there last night amongst the noisy away support and who weren't even acknowledged at the end by the players. A competition in which we had hopes of doing well, and a game against a part-time, relegated team in one of the scruffiest wee stadiums in the SPFL. As tm4tj says you can't compare league games to that. Especially meaningless end of season games v Forfar. Or a 6-0 thumping at Airdrie or a 5-1 on a Friday night at Morton. As I'm a good bit younger and more compos mentis than Bannerman I can point out from memory that the game after we beat Celtic in 2000 was a fairly routine 2-0 defeat away at St Mirren.
  7. Nah, James Taylor is more like his era
  8. Wasn't really surprised at the selection, probably saw this as an 'easier' fixture giving the players a chance to make amends for Saturday, always expected he would be starting Draper against County.
  9. Very true. But as soon as we conceded such a scrappy goal the writing was on the wall. It's such a tight pitch and we haven't got the players to play through them. There's hardly a team in the country that could to be fair, once Alloa have got a goal in front and their backs to the wall. Not blaming them but they hardly crossed the halfway line second half.
  10. Partick Thistle in the Scottish, 2006.
  11. 13 years since my last visit to the Recs. Previous record with ICT : P7, W5, D2, L0, F23, A5. After about 20 minutes it was clear that record was never going to improve. They should be paying us, the fans, £25 on Saturday after watching that.
  12. Uncharted territory for me

The problem there is, with theatre tickets you take the risk of not getting in All you'll get at TCS is everybody mobbing an overcrowded ticket office every Friday.
  16. Oh Dougal you're such a wag I wouldn't be surprised if you had some sort of influence on the scriptwriters in The Magic Roundabout as they were rumoured to be on LSD and sometimes I wonder if you are too

Is this the ugly sisters plus the dons?
  18. I didn't think Boden was bad yesterday - looked strong holding the ball up and he won quite a lot of high balls. But somehow I don't see him chipping in with 15-20 goals. Scored a few against the wee teams but never even got a share in the 5 at EEP. Reminds me a bit of Graham Bayne.
  19. What he said. Drop Vigurs to the bench against County and start Drapes. Give Mulraney another go (see if the wide open spaces of TCS lets him play) and if Mcintyre has his card marked sub him at HT. I think Richie dropped a hint that Doran could play a part on Tues.
  20. Looking for a lift on Tues from Edinburgh area as the missus has left me without a car for a few days. at the very worst, I could train it, but I could do with a lift to Stirling station after the game to catch the 2207 Edinburgh train.
  21. Partick's group was weaker than ours though and the results weren't stunning.
  22. Surprised Naelifts hasn't been on yet as I could sense his frustration at the game anyway, I think it's too easy for some folk to see things in black and white especially if they only see the team once in a blue moon. I think Archibald showed up Richie's inexperience yesterday. I think Richie was expected to go all gung-ho so Partick just sat in as if they were the away team. In particular they doubled up on Mulraney so he never had any space to run into. Partick just let us play in front of them until we ran out of ideas and started to look like one of yogi's teams. Partick themselves have very little to offer on the break but it wasn't a break that led to their opening goal. Just Vigurs being too lazy to get in a proper challenge, and one decent bit of quality after 36 minutes turned the match. First half according to Bbc stats we had about 63% of the ball. The stats overall are favourable to us, apart from the one that matters. second half was a painful watch. Apart from an early flurry it became clear that we were never going to score and soon we conceded an absolute howler of a second. wer are not a bad team. Players like King and Mulraney are not bad players, although King tends to dribble himself into trouble and Mulraney may not have the quality to deliver the ball when he gets more space against the better teams like Celtic who will give us more room. I have been impressed with McNaughton but yesterday not so much. I still feel we'll do better than Partick once the season gets going. I'd like to see a striker coming in though...
  23. Aye but despite all your learning caley100 can put it better using 1/13 of the words
  24. That's right - Tremlett lives in Banff
