  1. Cheers roughi. Yes renegade he's starting up front tonight
  2. The deal isnt quite over the line yet, I beleive the club are awaiting international clearance before they can officially sign the player
  3. Sekajja agrees terms: http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/Sport/Football/Sekajja-agrees-terms-with-Caley-Thistle-06102014.htm
  4. My ideal transfer deadline day would be holding onto the players we currently have but adding maybe 1 or 2 striking reinforcements to cover for any injurys etc. Whether this would be a loan or permanent deal wouldn't bother me but to know we have back-up would be reassuring
  5. I was thinking possibly Nimely? his CV has Man City, Crystal Palace etc on it, Gow has East Bengal and some lower league team from Glasgow on it I wouldn't have thought Gow was in a position these days to command a large wage....IMO given injury history and age Could well be a name that none of us are aware of yet
  6. Linky is up now: http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/Sport/Football/Hughes-keen-for-new-Caley-Thistle-striker-28082014.htm
  7. I had seen the thing about Preston but it seems like he may have been with PNE before he came up here (if indeed it is Nimely thats here) For what its worth if it is Nimely who is on trial then I think we would have a great prospect if we managed to sign him. His highlights video shows some real attacking skill, pace and the the ability to glide past players. A bit raw with his finishing but that could be honed I thought for a while that Yogi was maybe waiting till nearer the close of the window to see what loans were available but this latest article seems to suggest that he's after permanent signings. He doesnt appear to be afraid to wait until after the window closes to sign an unattached player either
  8. Latest update from the IC is that one of the trialists has been let go without being offered a deal, we still have one on trial who scored a hat-trick in a bounce game (probably the one against Inverness city) during the week. Yogi went to the chairman last week with a name of a player who he'd like to sign in the hope of twisting his arm to offer a deal but there was no information on whether that was the current trialist or a.n.other and there was no info on whether this was likely or not. Yogi still hope to take in one or two trialists next week hence him letting one of the trialists go this week. It sounds like he hopes to add one player before the transfer window closes but that would suggest to me he maybe has plans to add one more seeing as he still wants 1 or 2 more trialists next week will post the link when it becomes available
  9. I would have thought there's a good chance our cup game at ibrox may be televised meaning that we may be due some cash from that.....possibly I was under the impression that Yogi wanted to see the trialists in action before making a decision, sounds like a bounce game last night featured one or both of the trialists so a decision may be on the way on what's happening
  10. Has anyone worked out who the trialists are yet? Were they any good tonight? Lots of rumours on who they might be but no-one seems to have much info
  11. There's always going to be an element of risk when signing players late on in the transfer window, just as there is with signing guys on loan. Would imagine that Yogi and his coaches will have got a decent idea of the players ability in training. I would imagine that he would have set up training games either amongst the first team squad or the youngsters to see how the players do in a 'game' I would certainly hope that Yogi would err on the side of caution and have lads signed up as cover prior to the transfer window closing in case of any last minute bids for players like McKay (who there seems to be a lot of rumour about)
  12. I'm most likely wrong but could the first one be Alex Nimley formerly of Manchester City (Released at the end of last season) Seems to be word on social media that one of the trialists is indeed the one that you mention. The other being Dare as mentioned above. No official confirmation anywhere though Time running out on signings though so would be good to see a couple of new faces by the end of the week
  13. Merited inclusion in the squad for Christie, definitely one of the brightest prospects in Scotland at the moment, hopefully he can get game time and push on from there Hopefully his team-mate Shinnie will get the recognition he deserves in the full squad as well
  14. The Inverness Courier has pictures of both trialists but no other details as to their identities The jist of the article is that they may look to extend the trials as the two lads were not registered in time to play the development game. Also seems to suggest that loan signings may be used also linky: http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/Sport/Football/Strikers-Caley-Thistle-trials-may-be-extended-21082014.htm
  15. I would have thought that Neil Lennon and Malky Mackay will be in the running too
  16. So it must have been a 2 year deal he signed, have to say i'm glad. Was worried it was the end of this season that it expired
  17. Yeah the report suggests that they may well get game time in the game against Hamilton. Is this an evening kick off? Might try to make it along if so
  18. Today's Inverness Courier reports that 2 strikers are set to arrive on trial next week, the report goes on to say that only one could be signed if they show up well
  19. Given the potential he has shown I am not surprised by speculation regarding his future however I am surprised at how early it has come. He is just beginning to establish himself in the first team so to be linked with a big move away is really early for him. Can anyone remember how long his current deal is for?
  20. 0-0 I suspect Will be interesting to see if Vincent is fit after coming off injured last night and also if he is fit will he merit a start. IMO Watkins has shown far far more attacking threat in the minutes he's been on than Vincent has. Same team as last night but swap Vincent and Watkins
  21. Really frustrating stuff at times tonight. Too many times we take the easy option and pass back or sideways in promising positions. Some nice play at times between 18 yard boxes but no ideas in the final third. I'm all for keeping possession and fighting to get it back (which I admit we did quite well tonight) but there is a real lack of threat in the final third of the park. A better team would have taken the 2/3 chances that Dundee had and made us pay for some very slow and predictable play.
  22. I've heard that it is Eintracht Frankfurt that are sniffing about Billy now, rumours that a bid has either already gone in or soon to be submitted
