Inverness CT sign English Striker
I agree that defence is an absolute must to be strengthened but i dont necessarily think that Butcher has finished with strengthening up front. Foran and Sutherland were rarely played as out and out strikers last season and while both can play there Butcher has used them more as either wide players or behind the striker. Last season we had Rooney, Foran, Sutherland, Sanchez, Odhiambo, Alex Macdonald who were all classed as forwards. This season we have (so far) Tade, Gornell, Foran and Sutherland so i can see another striker coming in Don't forget Gil Blumenshtein !! everyone else has lol He certainly seemed to drift out of the picture very quickly in the season I thought he was a winger/attacking midfielder, think i only saw him on the park for us once competitively and he was played out wide

Clach 0-2 Inverness CT (FT)
I was the same, really struggled for a signal last night. Tried for a good 10 minutes trying to post a team line up and gave up in the end. Cant see Wednesday in Forres being much better Few good performances for me last night, i though Ross, Shinnie (Graeme, playing on left wing) and Sutherland (playing up front) all looked very good, all three looked very dangerous on the ball and were the livliest of the players in the first half. Ross had one very good run from our own half and the shot was unfortunately blocked. Foran seemed quite quiet last night. Tokely was his usual commanding self, mopping up anything that came near him Andrew Shinnie came onto a good game despite a slow start, seemed to have a good passing range, barring a couple of strays, always looked eager to get the ball and create something Kerrea Gilbert looked pretty good, in the same mould as Gillet, came off at half time so not much game time to form a decent opinion didnt see too much of Josh Meekings but he certainly looked strong in the tackle and athletic Tansey looked decent, had a few shots but took a while to find his range, saw enough to suggest he will be a good signing Was difficult for the players to get into any sort of rythm, clach battled well but also due to the fact that it was the first game of the season and the pitch itself was needing a cut. Pitch seemed very stickywhich meant passing on the deck wasnt always an option 2-0 didnt really reflect the game, the clach keeper had a few very good saves Hopefully Wednesdays game will give a better opinion of trialists and be easier to report/update on

Aaron Doran
Certainly hope he comes back for another loan stint, really came onto a game with us, looked a very dangerous player and i think having Doran and Hayes on either wing would form a pretty potent set of wingers

It was ?8 entry!!!! Thankfully being a student I only payed ?4 to get in last night. Wish all games were that cheap. Alright for some!!! Wonder what the Forres ticket prices will be like

With pre-season training starting today there will no doubt be quite a few trialists training with us over the next few weeks for Butcher to have a look at. This is certainly the way Butcher has worked in the past and i dont expect it to change The Courier is reporting today that 4 trialists have started training with us this week, 3 from England and 1 Scotsman ( which the Courier understands to be Jamie Stevenson) Hopefully we can unearth a few gems- Stuart Duff
