Michael Andrews? He played at Clach but didnt hear much about him after that. We can only assume his trial was unsucsessful One of the other lads we had on trial, Alex Cooper played for Preston North End last night, he played 45 minutes at left back, i thought he was a winger but appears to be pretty versatile. I had heard that when he was released from Liverpool that he had a couple of trials lined up so it may well be that his Preston trial was arranged before he came to us on trial. Will be interesting to see what happens, he was touted for very big things when he was younger and coming through the Liverpool Academy shows potential

Apparently he tried to hold out for more money. Looks like we have a similar capture in Billy McKay anyway. from what i can gather he is on trial at Wimbledon

Gilbert played another 45 minutes on trial for MK Dons last night

Team was: Inverness: Esson, Aldred, Tokely, Meekings, Gillet, Stevenson, Hayes, Tansey, Foran, A. Shinnie, Ross. Subs: Tuffey, Laing, Greig, Morrison, Polworth, Smith. According to the Scotsman website anyway Sounded like proctor came on for Meekings from the updates though, unlisted sub perhaps

TB used him as a centre half for all of last season so i cant see him reverting back to RB any time soon. Can see Tokely becoming a Davie Weir like player, centre half stalwart for a good few years to come

With the business completed so far i can honestly say that there are only two of the ten released that i feel we should have retained, Munro and Duncan. The rest are replaceable IMO but i think we will miss Grant and Russell considerably I think the way Butcher is looking to youth in our team is brave and exciting and i certainly hope its a move that pays off. Will certainly give the youngsters their chance to shine

Jamie Stevenson is only on trial, not signed Alex Cooper has left the club after what appears to have been a very short trial Gilbert looks highly unlikely to sign given that he was supposedly injured and couldnt play on trial for us but can manage to play for MK Dons on trial We have no right backs at the club which is very worrying (Proctor should only be used there in emergencies IMO), we only have Tokely as an experienced centre half and at the moment our defence is a really weak Tade for me is not a natural goal scorer, he will manage a few but i really dont see him as being a regular goal threat, i hope he proves me wrong but 35 goals in 154 appeareances in Scotlands lower leagues does not fill me with confidence We currently have 17 signed first team players which IMO is grossly understrength Just been announced on the official site that Tade and Cox will both miss our game against Motherwell so at the moment our striking options are Foran and Sutherland and our defensive midfield options are Gavin Morrison Its not quite hit the panic button yet but i feel there is still a lot to of work be done

Painful viewing

Up until the weekend i have to say i was confident that Terry would have the majority of the rebuilding work done however we are still clearly in need of new arrivals and quickly. Almost every team in the SPL has strenghtened significantly however we seem to be quite a bit behind. My faith in Tel is unfloundering but at the rate we are going it is going to be into the start of the season before we have any sort of complete squad or any sort of cohesion. It takes a long time for any team to gel after such a refit and we really need to get new players on board asap hopefully this week will see some reinforcements join the team

Actually, we could add new forums dedicated to certain players - the Foran Forum, the Doran Forum, Tansey Fanzine etc :biggrin: radio shows? 'Cox talks' perhaps?

I completely agree, we are very thin on the ground. The way the squad stands at the moment i think we need the following: 2 RBs, 2 CBs,1 Defensive Mid, 1 Attacking Left Mid, 1 striker We lost ten players last season, 12 if you include Doran going back to his parent club and the fact that Duff doesnt seem to be in the picture at all. The last article i read about Duff was two weeks ago and stated that he was back from holiday and ready to discuss new terms. The fact that he isnt training with is and hasnt featured in any pre-season games would hint that Terry no longer wants him.
