Team for Hamilton
I think our injury situation is still dictating to a huge extent our line ups. By recent media reports, Gillet and Innes are still not suitably recovered to make the team therefore i think our defence pretty much picks itself. The one area where we have the personnel to swap things about is in the midfield and wide areas however the only change i see happening is which player starts out of Morrison, Odhiambo, Sanchez, Cox or Duncan. I cant see Butcher Dropping Foran, Hayes or Rooney unless any one of them are injured. While it would be great to alter our team to try to nullify Hamiltons pacey/strong attack or even freshen things up i dont think Butcher has much choice than to stick with something similar to last nights line-up. I think Morrison is still learning at this level and hopefully Cox will be back as i feel Cox and Duff could provide a sound defensive midfield partnership which would allow Ross and Foran to play further up the park. Really cant stand Hamilton and especially Reid. He has his players trying every trick in the book trying to influence the ref and have never seen such an anti-football playing team as they do. Their timewasting, diving and bending of every rule in the book infuriates me so much Really hope we get stuck right in and give them a doing

Probable team in Scotsman Newspaper
Suprised by a complete and utter lack of knowledge of our probable team. It would take a researcher less than ten seconds to look at last weeks line-up and replicate. This McCain chap sounds good, heard when we signed him that he was cheap as chips

if we get into Europe
Werent Dundee claiming they'd won the league already by this time last year? We all saw how that panned out! while it would be fantastic to reach Europe there are a lot of points to be won and lost before the end of the season. Way too soon to be even be considering European qualification IMO Counting chickens and all that....

St Johnstone v Celtic
St Johnstone absolutely bombarded the celtic box. unlucky not to score again in the second half however celtic passed up two very good chances themselves. Loovens was horrendous and Forster pulled of a wonder save in the last minute to keep it at 2-3 Incidently celtic had a perfectly good goal chalked off for offside. i wonder if st johnstone had gone through would that decision have led to calls for sacking, flogging or jail??

Derek Adams
Definitely looks like he is touting himself for the next Celtic job. He seems to think everyone is out to get him and no doubt the 'establishment' are conspiring to cheat them out of points. About time the SFA did something about managers continually abusing referees and questioning every decision that doesnt go their way. There are always going to be mistakes as referees cannot be everywhere at all times. If the abuse continues we are going to end up with too few young referees coming into the game and not enough to officiate regular games

Celtic FC Managers Fact
Heck of a lot of former old firm players in the squad there. Its going to be interesting to see whether they have any respect for Mowbray after his spell at Celtic. The former Celtic players will no doubt be aggrieved that they were deemed not good enough and sold by Celtic and i wonder if the former Rangers players will have any respect for him given that he was a diddy managing in Scotland

John Robertson
still amazed that Robbo has been out of management for so long. All the very best at East Fife and as Scotty mentions i'm sure this will be a stepping stone back into a higher profile managerial position Good luck

Ian Holloway rant
Am i right in saying that he only handed in a transfer request? Surely thats allowed. He will still play for Man Utd up until he leaves. Players sign these 4 year deals expecting to stay at the club until that point. sometimes the player wants a change and sometimes the club wants to punt the player. Thats jus the way football is. However if i am informed wrong about this situation my opinion may change. A player can certainly hand in a transfer request, as far as i'm aware Rooney hasnt yet done so, all he has done has said he wants to leave as far as i'm aware. IMO I think the main jist of what Holloway is getting at is that footballers have too much power and can manufacture moves to other clubs when they want more money. It means that contracts nowadays do not always protect clubs on their investments.

Ian Holloway rant
cracking video. he is totally right. when a club buys a player and the player signs a CONRACT then they should stick to the contract. too often nowadays footballers with their over inflated egos can do as they like when they like. spoiling the game

Team for Killie
ESSON DUFF TOKELY MUNRO SHINNIE DUNCAN-------------ROSS HAYES------------------------------------FORAN ODI ROONEY I think its crucial that we start Duncan as he is a vital cog in the team. We always seem to play better with him in the team. I agree with other posters in that Ross needs to be in the team but i think we need Foran back out on the left. When Ross played in the holding position a few weeks ago he showed that he can adapt and play well there. I think Foran will win tackles in the centre of the park but his attacking threat is severely diminished and basically he is wasted playing so deep. Play Foran out wide and allow Ross to get forward whenever possible to provide an extra threat. Ross has the engine on him to motor up and down the park and can be effective in both defence and attack

Gordon Munro
RIP Gordy Met the man quite a few times and while i did not know him very well he always came across a true gent and a staunch follower of ICT. Everyone who ive heard mention Gordy spoke of him in very high regards. Thoughts and condolences to his family

Matchday Thread: ICT -V- St Johnstone
spot on, was glad of a point, our first half performance was very sloppy, hopefully it was only down to our two week break from football Forans natural position is striker and secondly a left sided midfielder. not a holding midfielder, he should be played in an attacking role and not a defensive one. completely wasted in a defensive role.

Throw Ins
the throw in situation has definitley been looked at. at the start of the season throw ins were completely unrehearsed, now it looks like we are trying to throw to a players feet all the time and i think this could work however the majority of the time the ball ended up at Odi or Ross. With Odi yesterday his first touch was atrocious and Ross was being out muscled too often
-
Team for Killie
Their goal was entirely down to Tokely ducking a high ball. Tokely was pretty ropey yesterday, not like him at all. Shinnie had a good game but i think Gillet will start if he's fit
-
Russell Duncan
completely agree. got no idea why butcher doesnt rate him. despite not being a flair player every team needs someone like Duncan in their team to mop up the mess in the centre of the park. great player who is vastly under-rated
