  5. We really dont deserve to be 2-0 down however that goes to show the difference between teams at the top and teams at the bottom, taking your chances. We need to start taking ours! We still need to put pressure on the two Celtic centre halves, not high balls but balls in behind them
  6. Feck. Celtic 1-0. Ledley, shot from edge of box.
  7. Sounds like Proctor not coming back on, Golobart coming on
  8. Foran booked
  9. Seems like we are happy enough lumping the ball forward at the moment. The celtic defence looks very ropey we really need to put more pressure on them Celtic cross, Stokes stretching, header wide
  10. Great block form Tokely on a Forrest shot. Ball breaks to Ki but Hooper deflects the ball out for a GK
  11. Corner misses everyone. Proctor taken a head knock, seems to quite a bit of blood. Hopefully back on quickly. Stiches needed by the sounds of it
  12. Cross from Matthews, deflected for a corner by Shinnie
  13. Hooper shot from about 20 yards, wide of Essons right post
  14. Ball through, missed by Majstorovic, Foran almost onto it but El Kaddouri clears
  15. Great ball in from the right from Foran, Nick Ross stretching but just misses it, Chippendale keeps it in and crosses but cleared. Good work from Tade to win the ball from Majstorovic to feed Foran. Great chance, unlucky not to score.
  16. Good chance for Tade there, confusion in the Celtic defence. Cannoned off the celtic defender then Tade for a GK Celtic not looking very confident at the back
  17. In the last 30years 4 different Scottish Clubs have reached major European finals, considering Scotland is a tiny nation in Europe if you ask me they are punching well above their weight Aberdeen beat Real Madrid in the ECW final 1983 Gothenburg beat Dundee Utd in the UEFA final 1987 Porto beat Celtic in the UEFA final 2003 Zenit beat Rangers in the UEFA final 2008 All Scottish clubs reached their finals in a 10/12 club premier league, the problem is not the size of the league its the money in the game going to the bigger nations dougal I was talking recently, not 30 years ago, our teams are now getting pumped out of Europe at the first hurdle which IMO is not good enough. I'm not saying we should be winning things but we should at least be able to overcome a couple of ties. Celtics run in 2003 and Rangers in 2008 were excellent and somewhat suprising but i think we should consistently be able to negotiate a few rounds IMO

    Castle Stuart

I suspect you mean "premature", and on that basis I strongly agree with you. Certainly Barclays have firmly denied that the weather problems at July's event at Castle Stuart had anything to do with their pulling out of the sponsorship and they cite the current financial climate. You could say "they would, wouldn't they" but it really doesn't surprise me to see a bank pleading poverty the way things are going. On the other hand maybe Barclays need the cash to pay executives' bonuses but whatever the details, I think the biggest concern has to be that Castle Stuart isn't seen as the fall guy in this scenario. They were so badly affected by what really were freak weather conditions and this should be fully realised. So should the fact that, apart from the weather, the championship gained a great number of positives from taking place there. Was there not also some kind of commitment to stick with Castle Stuart? When Castle Stuart was confirmed as the new Scottish Open venue it was confirmed for 3 years, i'm not sure if Barclays ending their sponsorship affects this at all. I really hope that a new sponsor is secured and the open remains on our doorstep. I attended as much as the weather allowed and i had a great time. Everyone i spoke to had a great time and in general the players, spectators and media had a very positive view on the venue. Would be a travesty to see Castle Stuart lose the open IMO, really hope it doesnt happen

  23. Question is whether Lennon will rest a few for this game and look to dish out the hiding on Saturday rather than tomorrow ..... this is the least important cup, and albeit arrogant, they may figure beating County is 'relatively easy' and sending out a full squad to take three points against a frequently difficult opponent at the weekend is more important and justifies a weakened team for this game .... This is also very valid and may counteract what I said above .... a strong team, rip County a new one as payback for the Scottish Cup and also to ease the pain of the weekend ... they may figure that even with a strong team out for this game, they will still be in good shape for the weekend ..... so really .... I havent got a feckin clue !!! I do know I want Celtic to win this one !!! not because of any Celtic bias or hatred for County but because if County win then Celtic WILL rip us a new one at the weekend if they get beaten by Rangers then County is successive games ! If County can help us out with a few hard knocks to any first teamers that are playing then even better .... no lasting injuries, just enough of a dunt to keep them out of action until Sunday or Monday ;) I think in normal circumstances Lennon would treat the cup, like you say, as the least important cup and line up with a weakened team. However given their previous embarassments against County and the fact that they are not at their best in the league i think Lennon will treat this with more respect than usual. Can you imagine the outcry from Celtic fans if they go out to a first division team in the cup coupled with getting beat in an Old Firm match in the space of 4 days? The fans and the board would not like this one bit I'd predict a strong, although not strongest, team and 3-4 goal margin win Certainly hope it is a strong team and a comfortable win and then we can play on their over-confidence at the weekend
  24. Delighted for Robbo, was amazed to see him out of football for so long. Hope it makes it back to a high profile club again soon
  25. 17 x 3 =51 53 / 3 = 17.6667 comfortably in the top third? maybe not but certainly well into the top half Youve got too much spare time on your hands
