Absolutely incredible that the Ivory Coast did not win the competition considering they didnt concede any goals in normal play. I watched the shoot out last night and was amazed by the standard of penalties taken, barring the misses from Toure and Gervinho the quality of penalties were remarkable. The majority of which were unsavable, there was one in particular from the Zambian number 19, he barely looked old enough to be playing but rocketed it into the absolute uppermost corner of the goal frame. Always great to see the under-dog triumph and i have to say was delighted when they stuck away the last pen. Goes to show that all these superstars playing in the EPL arent all they cracked up to be

Your a baw bag! Couldn't open the link and for about 10 seconds I was depressed that he was leaving!! On Hayes, why hasn't he been offered a new contract yet! We should try and tie him up for 2-3 years so that when he does go we get a bit of money for him. I hear that Aaron Doran and Owain Tudor Jones are playing in a bounce game today through in Aberdeen, fingers crossed they both come through unscathed. Two great players IMO and we could certainly do with them back and fighting fit I'll see if i can find out any info on the game later on

Todays Press and Journal suggesting the agreed fee is closer to £50k, all down to terms and whether Lee wants to move down I would like to see him stay, greatly improved player Given the fact we have alot of midfielders anyway and the fact Lee is getting a move fairly close to home i'd say it's a good deal all round. 50k is not a bad deal for a player with only 6 months remaining on his contract. Presently the only fit central midfielders we have are Foran,Ross,Tansey and Cox. If Cox were to leave then it wouldnt leave us with much options given that OTJ is still out and Morrison doesnt appear to be in the managers thoughts If Lee has his heart set on moving back down South then id certainly take £50k but from a purely footballing perspective i'd like to see Cox stay and sign another deal and continue to improve

Rooney is first name on the list IMO Closely folled by Cowie, Robson and Rankin Wouldnt take Mackie back, i can vividly remember the amount of chances he squandered playing for us

Agreed, looks like hibs will be strengthening in the window too. We really could do with a couple of reinforcements. Hopefully any monies gained by our cup exploits will be given to Terry to strengthen the playing staff im pretty sure hibs have been stregthenning every transfer window for the last 5 years thats worked out well hasnt it Well they finished 4th a few seasons ago so not every transfer window has been a disaster for them

I was reading an article on the STV website and it got me thinking, we have let in a lot of late goals this season....why are we prone to this? Is it lack of fitness? Players switching off?
