  1. nice one, looks like a reasonable uptake so far, hopefully still more to sign up
  2. something different:
  3. anyone heard on the uptake of seats for the free coaches?
  4. another couple of variations, included this one that is close to the current one:
  5. another idea:
  6. been mucking about with the kit designer thing on the errea website, couple of ideas: the club said predominantly white so this one aint bad
  7. ESSON GATTHEUSSI MHADJUKS MUNRO HASTINGS MORAIS DUNCAN VIGURS IMRIE ROONEY BARROWMAN
  8. ok then Benedict
  9. we could certainly do with his hold up play and the fact he could put the ball in the back of the net!
  10. ? surplus to requirements, failed to impress, paint it any way you like, still waiting for quality even on par with what players are leaving/left moving to reduce wage costs, moving to recoup transfer fees, moving to get first team football, like you say it can be painted in many ways and is not always indicative of whether they can play football or not! i agree with what you say that we are still waiting for quality replacements and we are in dire need of them but think we shouldnt be too hasty in writing off players without them being given a fair chance. ICT have benefitted in the past by taking on 'rejects' on more than one occasion ie. Dods, Brown, Robson, Wyness, Dargo to name but a few so maybe we should hold off to see if they are capable or not.
  11. i dont see the point in writing off players before they've been given a chance to show if they are capable. not a fan of this term reject either, by defintion most footballers if not all in this country could be classed as rejects!
  12. As well as the Latvian centre half we have on trial, one of his team mates is over too. 28 year old attacking midfielder called Vladimir Kolesnicenko. Full story here edited to add that his club website lists him as a striker
  13. agreed! when Cowie is played on the right of midfield (which is rare enough these days) they seem to interlink well and Cowie has the speed and engine to get back to cover if/when necessary. cant remember the last time we played a natural right sided midfielder in right midfield
  14. anyone with a good left foot would surely fit the bill?
  15. -------------------------ESSON---------------------------- PROCTOR-----------DUFF---------MUNRO----------HASTINGS COWIE------------DUNCAN----------VIGURS---------IMRIE -------------------BARROWMAN------ROONEY-----------------
  16. i think Tokely is perfectly suited to rampaging down the wings but is too clumsy to be a centre half, the amount of times he clatters into players through sheer dedication and desire to get the ball would lead to too many potential costly fouls IMO.
  17. looks like Gartland has signed for St Johnstone despite SPL interest, embarassing if it was us that was interested!
  18. ESSON TOKELY PROCTOR DUFF MCGUIRE MUNRO HASTINGS DJEBI ZADI MCBAIN DUNCAN ROONEY as long as theres no high balls into the box we should keep it down to 3
  19. if only more people in football could have your honesty and willingness to speak to the fans football would be a much better game. i applaud your open-ness and desire to answer all of these questions also thanks for giving me and many others some of the proudest and most memorable times while following caley thistle
  20. bumped this up as according to the daily express Brewster is interested in signing Steven Milne for ?40k in the january tranfer window
  21. using the same logic (that we as fans react negatively to our league position) would it be fair to assume that players are the same and contracts are not being signed because of our league position? if we were in the top 6 would we have players touting ourselves to other clubs?
  22. all the players you have mentioned there have either suffered from indifferent form and/or injury problems therefore no manager in his right mind would offer a player a new contract if he could not be relied upon. also i would not class those players as aberdeens greatest assets as they are not pivotal to Aberdeens success on the park. where it differs in our situation is that players we are trying to negotiate with are our best players and our most saleable assets and highly pivotal to our success on the park. businesses need to protect their biggest assets and IMO we have not done that for whatever reason. put simply, the Aberdeen players mentioned all have somehting to prove - that they are worthy of a new contract, in contrast the inverness contract rebels have nothing to prove and are our best players and should be protected. i wouldnt say different values but call it different scenarios
  23. ha ha, very apt
  24. as much as it depresses me to say its quite understandable. doubt many of us would do any different in the same position. time for the club to get the finger out and get serious about keeping our top assets
  25. Given the fact that he seems to be pulling them from his erse right now, then I think a hat would be a big improvement. :thumb04: classic!!
