  1. Not at all cynical........wat they are doing is called conciliation!!
  2. Do you honestly think "fans" views will make an ounce of difference. I think it is a token gesture :020:
  3. The guy leaves us in the lurch and we could possibly accept him back.......fekin joke!! :008:
  4. I am reliably informed that the ICT players have been told not to mention the departure. WOnder why that is if we got the truth :024:
  5. Lets hope we see Charlie regularly at TCS once he has had some time out.
  6. Dont talk absolute rubbish man! I was no fan of Charlies appointment, am I not allowed to have my say? thats called censorship! I never went over the top if i brought it up. Gotta take the rough with the smooth. Charlies situation is because of problems WITHIN the club.....nothing to do with this board
  7. I would like to add my best wishes to Charlie for the future. I dont believe the job was right for you, however you still remain an ICT legend on my eyes. Today is the first day of the rest of your life. All the very best
  8. Lets hope so Kencar, as apart from Terry Butcher, av yet to see a name that whets my appetite
  9. Bennets appointment as director of football was even more bamboozling to me than charlies as manager.
  10. It was indeed Jimmys house.........think he actually only stayed there a handful of times tho. Alister Crowley....on the other hand
  11. MANAGER WANTED :017:
  12. At least he is a football fan (from back in the 60s man Utd), unlike wat i heard about David Sutherland who was more intrested in the business networking opportunities the position gave him.
  13. We have threads going on this matter and that is the closest we will get to having our say
  14. There is apparently a press conference called for 1pm toady to give the reasons behind his departure. I heard a while back he had lost the dressing room and I can firmly believe that.
  15. Doesnt Savage run the biggest recruitment agency of its kind in the world or something? If there is one thing he should know about, it is recruitment! To say fans should have a say is very naive
  16. So he has been sitting biting his tongue for the last year and a half has he?? Sorry.....i find that hard to believe!
  17. I had, prior to this latest news, also queried the teflon manner of Parkie
  18. Rowan Alexander??? :017: Do we really want a manager who had an open cheque book to pay silly money to players. I dont think he could handle the role reversal. Anyhoo.....he is still Gretna manager (according to him) :blah01: :crazy07:
  19. Only Terry Butcher from that list thanx
  20. The only capacity i would like to see brewster return in is as a fitness coach
  21. Are you not forgetting Livi And Ross County?
  22. Never agreed with Charlies appointment so am relieved its now over. I am sorry for him, but saw this outcome from the off. Also dissapointed he didnt do it at end of last season so a new, more experienced manager could have come in and made the changes he wanted. Best of Luck Charlie, you were a Legend on the park, and you went at the right time before things went sour!
  23. I think it takes a certain type of character to be a manager. I have never seen that quality from Charlie. No one can blame him for giving the big time a shot when presented with the opportunity, but i think his appointment was basically based on two things. First being the relative luck enjoyed by appointing the previous two rookie managers and secondly, and probably more importantly, appointing someone who wasnt going to leg it at the first opportunity. It was bound to come undone sooner or later and maybe that time is now.
  24. If this rumour is true, which wouldnt suprise me, i would rather charlie moves aside asap before real damage is done and give any new appointment time a fair crack of the whip.
  25. I felt at the time that both the Club and Charlie made errors in judgement in the appointment. Sadly, i can see the day when Charlie is long since forgotten for his on field contribution but castigated for his off field contributions
