Av said this before and al say it again. I would be happier taking in ?75K at the gate with 7500 ppl there than ?75k wi 3500 ppl attending.
  2. Cheers for them pics Mantis. Grrrrrrrreeeeeaat to see some of my childhood heros again. Brought back some great memories. Any time i see doc, I get a flashback and smell deep heat! Wilsie looks fitter now than he did 20 yrs ago. Still the only person in history whiter than the strip! You think of all the miles clocked up by Wilsie, Kevin Mann and Bob Summers over the years they played for Caley. I mean, these guys travveled from dundee for every game. Imagine Midweek Against Brora in the winter!! Thats loyalty for ya. Puts todays Mercianaries to shame!

I am sure, back in the 90's, I heard on a programme about Italian footie was about ?80 to get in, as i remember thinking, how do ppl afford to go. I believe, for what it is, footie here is grossly overpriced and the knock on effect is, it keeps folks away from the games
  4. Didnt the blue toon beat us last year in pre season too?
  5. SMEE replied to a post in a topic in Caley Thistle
Gawd elp us...................I hope the actual top the players wear doesnthave the names on it. That will be cheesy and look daft IMHO :020:

Am I right in saying, that the new away top, when the team wears it will hav fans name plastered all over it?
  7. Just been on BBC1 Reporting Scotland sports news that the new deal means "a new highlights programme"
  8. Do the BBC take over coverage as of the first games this season? Thats how i would have read it, except............... it states that along with existing deals with Setanta AND Scottish Tv, the coverage will be greater than ever. So.............WTF does it mean?
  9. Is anyone of the belief MacAllister can really hack it at the required level? Personally, I cant comment much as havent been able to get to games for last 2 seasons (Got my Huns tickets today tho as the first of many visits this season :crazy07:), anyhoo, I know 4 of my season tix holding mates dont rate him at all.
  10. I never read The Sun today..........however, maybe my informant did. Didnt want to giv the impression that i had some inside info on this!
  11. Am not so sure Yngwie. I have been in a situation simmilar to this and it caused problems. At the end of the day........wat is this guy going to do differently thats worth many Hundreds of more pounds per week?
  12. Its the latest beat on the jungle drums! I can firmly belive it as it is human nature. I am a great believer in everyone being equal in a team...........and I think this has been the reason ICT have done well up till now. This will lead to division methinks
  13. Already hearing word of diss-satisfaction among ICT players at the gulf in wages.Think they will find it happens everywhere. Larsson, lennon and even Balde, who aint/wasnt even first team!
  14. What odds will you give me for 500 or less?
  15. Best Form of defence is attack, allegedly! ...........mibees CC is going for the brazil approach (loose 3 goals, score 4)
  16. Am not really a fan of Eltons, but am glad all had a geat day for it. Hopefully it was good night for him too.
  17. I would actually hav to say, nowadays....my perception of how the media view us is as an established SPL team.
  18. I would love it if they paid the guy the 4 grand in some ways, reason being................................it will be a right UP YOURS to dargo! :021: :crazy07:
  19. I have high hopes for Dean McDonald, should he sign. I think the few clips do display a good touch and quick feet. Am gonna stick my neck out and say Dean McDonald will score more goals than Dargo (the turncoat, mercinary, waste of space little ****) did last season :022:
  20. I read a quote stating it "was a step up" for him
  21. Alex Ferguson never played for ICT ya madman :crazy07: :blah01:
  22. The singing section is going to be situated close to the North Stand and hopefully it will create more noise throughout the stadium by creating a good atmosphere where people will want to join in. Once things are up and running you will be able to move to the West Stand if you decide it looks better. You will be able to try it on a per game basis. As I have said before the logistical side of things still requires a bit of thought, but the important point is that the club are listening to the fans on this occasion. Please tell me the singing section is not gonna be to one half of the ground? If there is one thing i cant stand is un symetrical stadiums!! will look like tannadice if its put at one end.
  23. Wonder how many of the 530 odd seats will actually be used? I reckon there will prob be an average of 400 empty seats :009: I hope I am wrong tho. Another thing, lets hope the "singing section" is constructed in such a way that it lends itself to providing an atmosphere, cause if not, yer as well not having one!

Maybe more substantial than MacAlister, but only 8 goals in 2 seasons!

"LOCATION — and not resources — is the main reason behind Caley Thistle's lack of activity in the transfer market since the end of last season" Above is taken from todays Inverness Courier. Correct me if I am wrong here. Inverness is 3 hrs drive from Glasgow and Edinburgh. You can fly direct to all London airports including Heathrow from Inverness airport along with Aberdeen,Glasgow, Edinburgh, Teeside, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Norwich, Bristol, Belfast, Dublin, East Midlands and Birmingham among some lesser destinations! It has a Train station, and a harbour if yer that way inclined! Inverness is the fastest growing city in Western Europe! It has among the top ten highest living standards in UK! So what is the real problem?
