It was a really good turn out at the funeral, which was nice to see. Near a full house! I Know his family were pleased to see so many faces there to pay respect to their to Gordy. Quite a few ICT colours in there too.

I alerted Gordons sons about this thread...and am sure they will be pleased to read the kind comments about their dad.

I am friends with his sons and was going to put a wee bit on this site about it...but wasnt sure if it was my place to. But glad to see a wee thread about him pop up. Gordie was a keen supporter of football in Inverness. Had manned the gates at ICT since day 1 and god knows how many years he did it for Caley in the Highland league before that. I think it would be nice if ICT acknowleged him in some way, for his services to the club for 16 yrs RIP

The most annoying part for me, is building two aircraft carriers...immediatley mothballing one, only to maybe NEVER see service. That is insane! The other wont have any aircraft till 2020, even then, only 10 aircraft are earmarked for it. Not really worth building!
  7. But did you have the foresight to see that the merger would never have been approved by members if the club names were killed off? Hey...i didnt decide on what options were offered...i merely voted on the name!
  8. I can assure you scotty.....ICT are OFTEN referred to as plain old Caley a lot of the time by media...pundits, managers etc. I have often felt like bringing it up on here...to see how the ex Jaggies element feel about it, but thought it might get too heated As for the name. I had the foresight BEFORE the merger to see that including the names Caley and Thistle would divide the support. And it does to this day. I voted back in 1993-94 for Inverness Fc
  9. Hes a really nice guy......and what he lacked in skill he made up for in effort. I NEVER saw him once give anything less than 110%!

Was on the news yesterday that if you put the Jackpot winnings in a high intrest account, you would get ?8500 intrest...PER DAY....so...if you did what you were saying, your looking at about ?15.5M investment over the next 5 yrs!

The only money i would put into the club is by taking an executive box for life. Ad maybe have chucked ?2m at the club as a one off gesture. But that would be it.
  12. I cant place this Cobbs at all....furry boots is it?
  13. Who....in your opinion, would you say, is ICT's key player? I would have to say, for me, its Richie Foran. He gives the team that extra bit of dig and creativity,Like players of old and i love the way he is fired up for the cause.
  14. Thanx for that Scotty. I can now confirm...it was the 1.1 draw (3-4 on penalties to dundee) that i was reffering to. Wee Davie Brennan was IMMENSE that night. Won pretty much every ball in the air. Funny how my fave games are defeats for us....cue DalneighCaley and his Celtic supporter theory
  15. I hope there is a great turn out for the game. Roy has been one of my fave ICT players forever.
  16. Getting beat 4-3 by Livingston, for which i think i am correct in saying was the 2nd Division Title Decider, on a glorious day, on the 1st may 1999. Bill Leckie reported in The Sun on the monday, that one day he would write a book about the 10 greatest games he has ever seen. He went on to say that this game would be in there. It had it all. i remember my mates looking at me in a startled fashion when i declared about 20 mins into the game...at 4-0 down...that the game wasnt over yet. Just a faantastic day out all round!! I also remember aa thrilling midweek game against Dundee in the league cup at Telford st. I cant recall the score that night, just remember feeling thaat i had been really entertained. Also used to love playing Ross County, back in the days of Iain Stewart, when he would regularly make an ass out of the county keeper by scoring the most amazing goals
  17. Tokely deffo got the ball before the man....ever so slightly....but he did!
  18. I had the same thing today JB, on my BT Vision, but a re scan got rid of the issue. I was having problems last night with ITV and Channel 4
  19. I used to enjoy a nice slice of Whisky Cake yrs ago. I love Carrot Cake I love Bakewell Tart I love Batternburg
  20. Isnt Robbo actually a Hibs fan?
  21. Hail..Hail
  22. Let the deluded fool have their moment of glory, and think that their diddy team are the No 1 team somewhere on the planet. If He/she gets off thinking that their team are No1 in the Highlands, well....lets allow them that fantasy! Their team had 3-4 yrs of sucsess 25+ yrs ago......yet he/she and their fellow deluded still think they are a footballing power. Thats why beating them is so mucch sweeter to me than any other SPL team.
  23. Probably the most satisfying scalp for me in the SPL. Aberdeen fans THINK they are a big club and they EXPECT to win games, all because of a few years of sucsess back in the first half of the 80's
  24. 6100 ish IIRC
  25. A FANTASTIC win today. well done Terry and Co....keep up the great work
