  1. When does it stop being about football and being about something else? B) What does that even mean? I think he/she is questioning our integrity and morals, insinuating we could be on the cusp of becoming bigots! But it is they who are in danger of becoming so, with their intolerance of others rights to hold their own opinions!
  2. Well JB.....i have held such sport related rivalries for over 30 yrs now....it has never gone beyond a healthy dislike for the club. i have a number of pals who support RC (as well as many other teams)....who i could go and have a drink with...so i think if my rivarly was gonna manifest into something more ugly, it would have done so by now.
  3. Why does holding a healthy rivalry with a local team have to be compared to religious fuelled intolerance and bigotory? Its always extremes on this site!
  4. Birdy....I think we just have to accept that some of us have differnt ideas of what following a team involves mate! You and I and some others are clearly old school......others are more liberal in their attitudes!
  5. Well.....a "fan" might be a bit of a stretch...considering i have never made any financial contribution to the club in any from. I have long openly admired their style of play tho. BUT....had it been even Rangers they played today...ad have wanted County to lose!
  6. Excellent result. Of the last half dozen fixtures a few weeks ago...this was the one i feared the most. Well done guys!
  7. Says they, preparing to go and support their other team at the scottish cup final! Oh....and where did i suggest i was a "god". I merely pointed out...that UNLIKE the overwhelming majority of ICT fans...i was supporting local football when many chose not to!
  8. Well...the drop in the ICT support from what we got in the SPL would seem to suggest we are not short of fairweather fans! Nor would the growing attendances we have had the more we have progressed through the leagues. I knew you would come out with the Kids argument....but you have to remember...for everyone thats born...one dies. So...it evens itself out. Fact is....where was these Inverness "football fans" back in the day when it was just Highland League on offer? To try and argue that the attendance increases have nothing to do with the level ICT are now playing at is rediculous! And they will further increase next season IF we find ourselves in the SPL!
  9. Well.....how many ICT fans supported Inverness football back in the day? I did....I didnt just hop on board and decide i was going to start supporting local football coz it was a higher level of football we were seeing.....unlike the majority of our support. You cant argue with facts......ICT hs about 2500 more fans now than Caley and Thistle combined did..so...what were they all doing on match days when there were local teams needing their support? So to me....the likes of Birdy, myself and others of that ilk were more "fans" of football. If you cant see that...then...theres nothing left to say
  10. Theres reason enuff to not support C*unty!
  11. Yeah...i did stop going to games, EVENTUALLY, under that F**kwit......as a protest....(having the clubs best intentions at heart)..as i had long since predicted the damage his appt would do and my worst fears were coming to fruition. I didnt stop wishing the best for the club, so we could get back on track. Fans do make such decisions at times. My support for the team was never in question....i just chose to keep my distance for a while. At no point did i turn my back on the club
  12. bIRDY...i think you and i are cut from the same cloth as far as our old fashioned footballing values are concerned. The MAJORITY of the ICT support have NO previous experience regarding supporting football in INverness before the merger. I guess we just have to accept that they have little understanding of what that all meant, and that we have carried over our attitudes to supporting ICT! But we can hold our heads up...as we were the ones supporting our local teams when most of the Inverness supporting folk chose not to!
  13. A draw today wouldnt be the end of the world.
  14. Hey guys, maybe if we don't get promoted you can go hold each other's hands at Victoria Park in the SPL. Maybe skip through some flowery meadows, hand in hand, before the game, singing your favorite hyms :P
  15. Its called good old fashioned football rivalry Oz. I could stomach ANY other team apart from the Peg Sellers doing well. Al even be happy for Raith to win tomo to prove that :( What annoys me...is those smart asses on here, who try and belittle you for daring to not support the highland team. Am not gonna sit back and take that!
  16. You set them up...al knock them out of the park! Am not gonna let this one slip. Care to back your bizarre statement up with some facts Iain? I would like you to enlighten me as to when i turned my back on ICT, as you have insinuated? Or is it just another of your inane ramblings? I will wager it is the latter! Furthermore, I will also wager that you produce no evidence to qualify your ill founded statement. Your move!
  17. It should be closed Scotty. It turns my stomach to see alleged ICT fans cumming in their pants over a win for our Rivals!! No wonder the atmos at TCS is so flat!
  18. EXACTLY.....well sed Birdy!
  19. Well you can get there in a number of different ways. Just the same modes of transport if you were going to support your own team believe it or not. You have a number of options, most popular being Car, Train and Buses. You can get a Car very close to the ground and maybe park in a car-park provided by the ground. Some will get a bus down that will park in said car-park at the stadium or to Buchannon bus station in this case and walk it from there. The majority go for the train though and walk to the ground via a a number of pubs. There's no such place as "Buchannon" bus station! If your trying to be a smart ass...try and at least get your facts correct!
  20. I think the technical term is glory hunting, normally only found in supporters who can't face up to negative emotions. Hopefully it does not take too much hold or he'll be supporting Ingurlund in South Africa next. Deffo Birdy!
  21. How can you go to a game and "support" a team other than your own?
  22. Factually incorrect....AGAIN!!! Smee, you are being a tw*t. Please stop it. Whats this got to do wi you? TM4TJ is very good at beingg a smart ass at times. If he tries to make a tit of me..i will turn it on him. So mind your own business!
  23. Factually incorrect....AGAIN!!!
  24. I have yet to go to a game on my own. Tht was a one off, which didnt happen...so keep yer smart arsed, ill informed comments to yourself ya tube!!!
