Can you explain how wanting a team closer to you, in a different league win against another team in the same league as you makes you any more/less of a fan? The commentators themselves commented on how unusual an event it is (alluding to fans of one team backing their local rivals) So your not answering my question then? If you cant see the hypocrisy in turning out to support your local rivals at a game...well...am not going to waste my time explaining! As i say...EVEN the commentators were stating how unusual it is!

Yea, it really takes big balls to post that on the internet :D Well done Desperados. And yeah Iain....it does take balls to say it on here. Not everyone is as willing to have their say and open themseves up to the confrontation that ensues at times.

If it was Berwick Rangers playing C*unty today....ad be willing them on to win....ABC after all! Its obvious some of us have a differing view on what being a "fan" of a team involves. I sit firmly in the camp where you do not will your local rivals to win!

Even BOTH the commentators were saying they couldnt imagine too many other teams fans backing their rivals in a final! They are neutrals.....yet....seem to agree with me and the others of the same chain of thought! But....al leave the happy clapping, fence sitting, glory hunters to it.

Its called the freedom of choice Don....i have a prefference for Dundee Utd..in much the same way am willing Portsmouth on to win the FA Cup. Am stopping short of going along and supporting them too tho!

As i think is the case wi a portion of those who turn up at ICT games....many of whom are probably away to the final today!

I can only imagine, the reason for so many ICT "Fans" getting behind county is that they are not so much fans of ICT....they are more just fans of football. I hve brought this up before, and further backs up my theory, IF these people are not just fans of football....where were they (the 3000-4000 "fans" ICT have) when Inverness had 3 Highland league teams? Deny it all you want...but most fans of Aberdeen will NOT be wnating Dundee Utd to win today. As much as Dundee Fans wouldnt want St Johnstone to do it, or Dunfermline Fans would see Raith Win it etc etc. Ross County get to the final...and a pile of fence sitting ICT fans sod off to cheer them on. Maybe this explains the poor atmosphere at TCS. Coz lots are there to watch a game of football rather than "support" ICT I also believe it is people like myself, who have a longer established, deeper seated roots with local football, who find it harder to cheer on what is our local rivals! And therefore...we are in the minority, compared to the New Age ICT fans!

Oh dear... this weary old myth surfaces again!! I personally know plenty people who chose to move on and support Ross County after the merger than went on to support ICT. I was walking into Victoria Park at the last C*unty v ICT game....and bumped into a dozen or so EX Caley fans, with county scarfes, and that was just going along behind main stand! Also...my facebook is littered with similar minded Inverness folk. So Charles...you call it a myth...I know its a fact!

I reckon if we got to a final...we wouldnt get as much support...as the merged team (ICT) still gets a lot of hostility towards them. The best bit is tho....the next game county play....they will suddenly have lost about 16000 "supporters". Its a day out in civilisation for most of them!

I hope they get trounced...i really do. I Support ONE team in not just the Highlands, but also Scotland! And its not amazing reallly, what they have done....considering that....outwith the SPL....Historically, Ross County are in the top 5 spending teams in the SFL, that have invested in their playing staff over the years.

Renegade....Scots cant be "Racist" against the English, as we stem from the same racial group...ie indo european Such intolerance...in extreme cases could be deemed Bigoted tho....but methinks in most cases....specially on here.. can be attributed to simple, good old fasihioned, sporting rivalry!

Not suprised at all. Had the list contained Odhihambo, it would have been perfect.i just think he is not up to the required level. Struggled at SFL level....will be a passenger in SPL
