Coz mun......Splinter Cell happens to be one of the few games i have really enjoyed playing in its previous incarnations. I love gomes like that, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil etc....would love to see a new Syphon Filter game too :D

I believe Arkham Asylum is an excellent game. That coming from my oldest son, who is rapidly turning into quite the little movie/game critic. ask him his opinion and you get a biopsy of the game, graphics, playability, etc etc and then probably rounded off with a percentage score (in his opinion). Arkham asylum scored highly with him. Its one of 3 games i got him for xmas.....the other two being Left for Dead 2 and Assasins Creed 2

Maybe a few sucsessful gigs with has beens or lesser acts may see the arrival of more appealing acts. At the end of the day, its the promoters who get the acts up here. I still feel there is a bit of the..... stick on a puppet show and they will turn out en masse attitude up here. What we need is a ballsy promoter with some good connections. Take the Ironworks for example....that should be promoted as a venue for acts to come try out new material on the fans in preperation for an arena tour type of venue. Lots of acts play inimate gigs in that manner.

This week, Inverness has seen the death of two men (one of which was an old school pal of mine) and 3 overdoses, due to drugs. 9 people have lost their lives in the city this year. This latest two deaths sees 4 kids being left without their fathers, 9 days before xmas. Its truly heartbreaking! What is the answer to this problem? For me, we in Inverness are now starting to go through what Glasgow and Edinburgh went through in the 80s and Aberdeen in the 90s. Its going to get a lot worse too in the next few yrs. I dont know whats going on, is it bad quality drugs? Is it down to lack of knowledge or just bad luck? I see the two scum who were jailed for 12 yrs this week, for dealing in drugs, are planning appealing their sentences. Heres hoping they get chucked out of court, coz its vermin like them that are causing the deaths of too many people.

Nah...i dont enjoy footie games that much. They are ok if you got someone to play. I like games like Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, Splinter Cell....them types of games.

Just in case anyone should ask what entitles him to be spouting off, its because he has something like 90% Scottish ancestory. He was on the BBC prog Who Do You Think You Are And....he is correct in what he says...if Gaelic dies out (as it is doing) it is because there is no need for the language, so people dont use it.

I did used to play command and conquer red alert on the PS1. used to keep me amused for hours on end. must go and check it out on youtuube for old times sake

Is it true....that, on the PS3 you can download any previous game from any previous version of the Playstation? if so...is it free to do so?

On which subject, does any one know where you can buy an old fashioned "record player" these days? I have loads of vinyls but nothing to play them on since the old one clapped out a few years ago. Do you mean a stand alone record deck or one of the oldee stylee stereo systems? Canna go much wrong with looking on ebay Charles. I bought my Rega PLanar turntable from there.

I must admit....Im a terracing man at heart. I grew up a Howden Ender, and i guess standing is just ingrained in me. Given a choice, at TCS...ad much rather be on the terracing....but a lil cover overhead would be swell!
