Interesting that yesterday's Companies House filing is simply documentation of the 2023 AGM resolutions empowering the directors to create new shares (to "allot shares"). Is this a) filing something that should have been filed two years ago? b) indicative of a plan to issue more shares to Savage? (which would dilute the value (what value?) of each share, unless more security (what security?) was converted into shares) c) a & b? d) demonstrating my ignorance of business practices?

I think the number one goal for next season is survival. (Assuming that we do come out of administration, of course - which is yet to happen.) A different type of survival, though, from this past season. More a case of seeing what sort of squad we can get together, ensuring that we don't get relegated, and, most importantly, getting the club up and running on a sustainable basis. Anything else would be a bonus, especially in the league where we start 5 points behind everyone else.

Likewise, I am over 500 miles away. Was pleased to see two Highland teams admitted to the league back in 1994, although I did wish that they had been further apart. Yes I wish that we had done better than County, and yes I know that they often field a team with no Scots, let alone Highlanders. Nowadays my feelings towards them are apathy more than antipathy. Not sorry for them - just not bothered.

Not sure if you meant to ICT or to elsewhere. I don't know the County squad, but I'd have thought that it would be worth sniffing around to see if anyone would be willing to balance the (massive?) drop in salary against the opportunity to stay in the area. Maybe an older player with a wife in a well-paying job and kids in school. That probably narrows it down quite a bit
