  1. Basically, anyone who is deemed to be indispensable for the play-offs and can't be risked. Ridgers, Carson, Broadfoot, etc etc...
  2. Usual aimless, unstructured game. If we can't put Morton to bed, then what chances in the play-off? Need to establish authority with another goal early in the second half, or this one could drift away from us.
  3. Raith, because I like their PPV commentators
  4. Having heard reports of him mentoring other players, being a model professional, and being a stabilising and organising influence on the pitch, I wonder whether there could be a role for him as a defensive coach, whilst retaining his player's registration in case of emergency.
  5. I assume you weren't a supporter when both teams spent nearly 110 years in the Highland League?
  6. I suspect that Broadfoot's experience and influence may play more of a part in keeping things together than is generally appreciated.
  7. Must be at least 30 minutes stoppage time, for the outages
  8. Hadn't noticed until you and Robert mentioned it. Not sure if the commentators noticed either - they still sound as though they are on Mogadon.
  9. The wet string must be drying out somewhere between Dumfries and civilisation.
  10. From the QoSTV website: " we are experiencing output issues from the ground. please bear with us if you see some buffering for a few seconds. just let it come back automatical "
  11. The Yankee Pier at Alness. I had been looking further along at Invergordon and Nigg Bay.
  12. Well done! Despite it being so close to home, I don't think I had ever been there before last week.
  13. I had a mini-tour of Scotland last week - Falkirk (sister-in-law about to move home), Aberdeen (funeral), Inverness (see my Mum), Falkirk again, then home to Snorbens. Souvenir of my trip? A dose of good old Scottish covid. Ah well, it seemed for the last while to be inevitable. Of all the locations mentioned, the one below is closest to Sneck. I don't think that there are any obvious clues...
  14. Aye, but in the background this time, not the foreground
  15. The ruins of the cotton mill at Spinningdale. I never knew until now why that place is called that!
  16. My first thought was that someone had built a ruin at the end of Munlochy Bay
  17. During the first half PPV commentary, Ross T noted that Cammy's ball distribution has been excellent in the games that he has played. So that's two of us who think that We now have the problem of keeping two first-team quality keepers happy and motivated!
  18. As long as you pronounce it "neece". It is not the same word Wikipedia: "1929 editions of the Hull Daily Mail carried an advertisement for Huntley & Palmers Nice Biscuits using the phrase "Delightful as the town after which they are named", indicating that by this point their manufacturers intended the public to associate the biscuit with the French city, whether or not that had been the intended pronunciation."
  19. Where are you all? Celebrating? A great win today. A good performance from everyone from Cammy Mackay forwards. Great saves by Cammy himself. Weathered the storm after we went 1-0 up, and Yogi ruffled up his team. An inspired substitution - I too would have taken Mckay off. He wasn't happy, but it was good to see him join in the celebrations when Samuels scored. Who's next?
  20. Agreed. Some good football being played and some great chances created. Dunfermline playing pretty well, too, though, and I wonder what Yogi has seen and what changes in tactics he might make for the second half.
  21. Clearly, someone was educated at the same time that I was, in the 60s to mid-70s. It was hammered into us that we should never use any form of the verb "get". If one found oneself about to do so, then one should seek an alternative. "Nice" was another word which we also had to avoid. (Written in my bestest English, as they learned us.)
  22. Nothing to do with the Dalmore at Alness! From the map, there seems to be an area just south of Auldearn called Dalmore. There's a Dalmore Farmhouse, and also Auldearn Antiques in Dalmore Manse. The parish of Auldearn and Dalmore joined up with St Ninians in Nairn a couple of years ago, and is now known as "Nairn: St Ninian's l/w Auldearn & Dalmore" - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Church_of_Scotland_parishes#Presbytery_of_Inverness
