  1. This all looks so odd. 1) Can't they just ask Morrison if he approved Gardiner's contract? 2) The lawyer appears to be saying that it was not until Gardiner resigned that the existence of the contract, with 12-month notice period, was established or formalised. 3) Surely the contract - with signatures - should be on file at the club? Curiouser and curiouser...
  2. Gonnae tell us exiles exactly what that is?
  3. One closer. Have you tried Alan Savage? Ketan Makwana?
  4. Except he forgot about the 7,000 unread emails
  5. You'd think that, wouldn't you? I said a while ago that I'd be very surprised if SG took the club to court. He will know that he is sorely annoying AS, so he must be very sure that the forensic audit won't uncover anything worse than embarrassing. Nothing criminal, anyway, which is the specific meaning usually associated with the word "forensic".
  6. Please allow me to be the first to note the coincidence of the absence of Big Dunc and a 3-0 win Joking aside, did the team play any differently?
  7. Savage says that there was no paperwork to back this up - just a threat. Do sheriff officers act just on someone's say-so? I must try it..
  8. I accept that nothing more can be done about this as far as we are concerned. But I assume that the identity of the Queens player - not given in the article - is in fact well known, and that future opponents and officials will be looking out for him. And I also note that ever-reliable first sign of autumn - the ICT injury/illness crisis.
  9. That would surely be the end of Big Dunc, then. We'd get Steven Gerrard instead
  10. I'd be very surprised if SG did that. Was it AS who first used the word "forensic"? That word has a specific meaning. SG and the rest of the Board will be keeping their heads down until AS gives the "all clear". Or maybe he won't, just to keep them in order
  11. "Mr Savage indicated he felt there was a strong case for David Cameron, Ross Morrison and Allan Munro to [contribute around £600,000], given their presence on the board during the troubles encountered amid Scot Gardiner’s controversial five-year term as Caley Thistle CEO." Presumably he doesn't think he'll get a plugged nickel out of Graham Rae - the man who appointed Gardiner - and his mates? Last time I looked, it seemed that Rae has the largest individual shareholding in his own name of any individual. (Savage's are under Orion Group.)
  12. Not coming out until next May, so plenty of time to add the chapter about being fired from Caley Thistle
  13. Not to mention his disregard of the Hippocratic Oath, which he should have taken and been guided by throughout his career.
  14. It's not just Gardiner. It cannot be repeated often enough that, if they intend to stay on, them the Board has very serious questions to answer about how they let Gardiner run the club as his private fiefdom, and especially also how they were taken in by Makwana. These questions cannot be ignored. The ideal place to ask them would be at the overdue AGM - or at an EGM if one is required if there is a takeover. This would be a chance for the Board to explain themselves and clear the air, or say "mea culpa" and stand down. Until that happens, the stink of incompetence will remain.
  15. Dear Sir Alex - he had 30 league games last season. How long does "a chance" last? I know that you had about 3 or 4 years at Man U before you were successful, but we must be well into "Fergie time" - that's Dunc Fergie time - by now.
  16. I agree. When Makwana rocked up, I said that the first thing that a venture capitalist does when they acquire something is work out their exit strategy, including what they can get out of the venture. And it has occurred to me that, ironically, the people who AS is lining up to possibly take over may have the same ideas as Makwana - development of the site, etc. One hopes that they will be much more credible.
  17. But I think he would have been quite Savage in the meeting. I imagine that his advice was something like "Waive the debt, convert it into equity, or forever be remembered as the people who let the club fold!".
  18. It looks like you can buy him off with a case of red wine! https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/duncan-alex-ferguson-man-utd-27903305 Great news!
  19. Well, it says at least twice that he is waiting to hear from the club. So, mate, don't hold your breath! (Is the article author the bloke who also works for the club?)
  20. That was always the most likely explanation. Gardiner would have been stupid to try anything. And the one good - indeed, remarkable - thing that can be said about Makwanda is that he seems to have kept his nose clean, despite all his BS, and hasn't fallen foul of regulators, authorities or the law.
  21. I would have made it a more positive message, welcoming Savage back to the club as the headline statement. I don't see what need there was to spell out some of the things that you think that Gardiner was responsible for, especially since the Board, who remain, were complicit in all of it. And as for the fireworks.... All a bit too much "Ding-Dong! The Witch is Dead!". No mention of Seventy7 either?
  22. That would be a difficult case to win, given that he had already resigned! All that will have happened is that he will have been paid for the rest of his notice period and escorted off the premises.
  23. I suspect that it simply means that they have informed Makwana that they are putting the deal "on hold" for now, pending the review by Alan Savage. So not cutting him off completely - never say "never" - but realistically the chances of Seventy7 returning must be pretty near zero.
