At least there was a better attendance than at the last round. There was less than 20,000 at Celtic Park yesterday. Take 1000 off for QP fans thats 19,000. That is 36,000 missing season ticket holders! Makes our 1500 or so look like nothing doesnt it? We have been getting small crowds for years so to be honest (and no offence), the thread is pointless. I rember traveling from Glasgow for League Cup game against Dumbarton the year we won Div 1 and there was around 650 people at the game.

You wont call me Lionel Blair again!!!
  3. Easliy done!
  4. We are no different to all clubs. Celtic Park and Ibrox are silent considering there are 50,000 people. I cant think of a single ground we visit the that home fans make any real noise. The only noise you get is at the start, a corner or a goal. I include Tynie in this. It has the best atmosphere of any ground when they can actually be bothered. All fans make more noise on away trips thanks to drink, die hard support and the general craic.
  5. I can't quite agree with this since the SFL rearranging to 4 x 10 wasn't on the agenda in Feb 1991 and Leishman had been gone for a full year and a half by the time Baltacha was appointed by Caley. I do, however, think that the Baltacha appointment had a lot to do with the merger which by that time (June 93) had been launched as a project by INE and the SFL had decided to rearrange. 4x10 may not have been on the agenda but both Big Jock and Leishman were looking to the future and an Inverness United team. I am sure you will remember most off the local press going with this. I really think this was Jock being Jock and using his knowledge and inside info from SFA towers that plans were afoot. Sadly Leishman was a complete waste of space and more interested in local bars and hospitality! My favourite quote at the time was in an editorial in the P&J: Thistle, a club with a club which has always had ambitions to move into senior football.........Thistle, therefore have stolen a march on their great local rivals Caledonian and one can be certain that they will not take the challenge lying down. It took Caley a year and a half then to rise to the challenge!
  6. Is it not only 2 players that signed having played with Brew before? Proctor and Byrne? I dont see that as jobs for the boys in the first place, 2 out of 7 or 8 signing? i dont think it is jobs for the boys but he clearly signed 2 players who were not rated at the clubs from which they came. Proctor was slated at UTD and Byrne, well who has not slated him, but he will be given a chance I am sure. The jobs for the boys at ICT as always been backroom and has happened since day one. If you face fitted with Dougie M, you were in ( my family included I guess) but it was a board that did work hard but was never going to take us to the SPL. Then under David S, it was certainly if your face fits and they certainly enjoyed (enjoy) the pampering at Ibrox and Celtic Park. Sadly it has always been the case that some of the lesser "boys" have had to much of a say in matters at the club!
  7. Caley only appointed SB to try and get some media limelight back from Thistle after we had appointed Leishman. We appointed him in Feb 18th 1991 and to me that was the first step towards ICT. This was the first shot in the "we will go it alone" bids. Once Leish left Caley made their play and yes for politics, after the merger CT kept SB. In the words of a great man, SB was inept!
  8. Great start, lets see how we go week in week out. Great interview from TB as well. Funny and passionate about the cause. Well done all.

Busiest club in Scotland. Signed more than Chelsea as well. We needed to be but why has it taken until Jan? Why did we not do this at the begining of the season?

Shortly after his father celebrated twenty years as manager of Manchester United, Darren followed him into football management. On 20 January 2007 he left Wrexham to become player-manager of fellow League Two side Peterborough United. Previous manager Keith Alexander had been sacked after a run of six straight defeats.[6] He led the club to a 10th placed finish in his first season of management. In his first full season of management, he took Peterborough to second place in League Two, thus gaining them promotion. He was named League two manager of the month for March 2008, after they won six games out of eight in the month. Ferguson had led them to the top of the league, with a run of thirteen wins and three draws in sixteen games. In November 2008, Darren said that if current Manchester City boss Mark Hughes was axed, Darren would step in and take the job- this would make him and his dad Sir Alex Ferguson, who is the current Manchester United boss, arch- rivals Not bad for a 36 year old manager at a club with little money! If you dont ask you dont get!!!! I know it is unlikely but at least it would have brought the club even more realistic attention than Ozzy.
  11. He seems a bit quiet now?

My thanks also, Great craic like Motherwell and Clyde away days. Here is to many more.

I really hope the lack of news from the club is down to the fact that they have the replacement lined up and will not make any statements until it is done and dusted. There has been a quote from George Fraser so that will do for now I guess.
  14. As a player he is easily one of the best we have ever had. When he managed on the pitch you could see him talk to all the players, encourage them and coach them. Sadly off the pitch it appears he couldn't hack it. He then opens is gob and talks all the stuff re loyalty and fecks off to Utd. He takes them bottom off the league showing again that off the field he is no use. Gets the sack and plays for Aberdeen where again Brewster the player shines through. We take him back and bar a nice run of 5 wins last year it has all been rubbish. So to Brew the player, thanks for the memories. To Brew the manager

Still got to be Darren Fergasoun for me. Doubt we could afford him sadly. Would Butcher still stay with Scotland part time?
  16. Fantastic news. Season ticket or not I am having my opinion on this one. The guy should never have been taken back. It has been a disaster all season bar one game in Aberdeen. Why he was given this long god knows. Our season starts here. It is like Rotherham over coming their negative points at the start of the season. We need someone to settle the ship asap and get us through to next season. Lets hope the board dont take as long over this choice as the sacking of Brewster. To all the Brewster backers, I know your opinion counts so please give us reason why this is the wrong decision?
  17. I was more than happy to keep my mouth shut because it was a heat of the moment thing betwen 2 fans who obviously care a lot about the future of ICT but you run over and ask one of my mates to step outside, shat it when I got involved, apologise for it and then come on the forum and start bitching afterwards ............. says it all really It was the Brewsters gay chants that he took offence to... he just didn't see what that had to do with anything And the abuse that Lady took from you lot for having a different opinion was disgraceful as I said emotions were running high and I'm sure the amount of alcohol drunk beforehand didn't help Have to break my own not posting rule for that one. The lady was not sworn at or given any abuse be myself. I voiced my opinion which I am more than entitled to do but does this give her the right to tell me to sit down and shut up? She is more than welcome to disagree and support him but hay I never heard her chanting from him to stay? When I asked if she could see where the club is going under Brewster, that is when I was told that I didnt even have a season ticket so what right have I got to complain? I bit my tongue very well at that point.
  18. As I was also spoken to by the 2 "ladies" and was told that I had no right to complain as I wasnt a season ticket holder, this will be my last post on any game or Brewster matter. The team were awful, the manager has to go. Infact cant be bothered posting anymore as it doesnt count anyway!!
  19. Fraser out, Brown in?
  20. Not a problem if worn at a game. As mentioned before in Glasgow the OF have them on 24/7. It is more of a tribal thing with them I think. As for the XXXXXL tops, that is a load of rubbish. The only reason we have XXXXXL tops is down to the fact the our useless strip people use odd sizes. The XXXXXL is actually a XXXL top in the normal world. I am sure that most people in ICT tops have to wear at least one size from the normal. ( My excuse anyway!).
  21. Congrats to you all.
  22. I cant see Hamilton filling the Spice of Life stand that normally hold away fans so hopfully in a worst case they will put some off us in there. Any news on your ticket "idea" CaleyD?
  23. PM sent. Anyone else that fancies it, from 11am at the Bar downstairs in Central near Burger King.
  24. It is good to see us being involved in the market for once. We really need that striker now. I wonder if it will be Burchill as he is free again? Hope not. One thing to be carefull about. We are clearly the most active in the market in the SPL, I just hope we arent doing what Derby did last year and almost changing a whole team to try and stay up. That was panic buying that failed badly. Another couple and I think we are there re the squad then it is fingers crossed and hold tight, it will be a bumpy ride until May.
