He did ok and I would happily keep him. We do however still need a bog stopper like Bobby and Dods before. I felt that celtic were winning most of the high balls when it was Vinegar of Castlemilk and Killenmesofty up front near the end. As Celtic were playing both they had no striker nipping in behind to win the flicks.

I think a monthly direct debit is a good idea. They tried it before bu only gave you 3 months. Why not spread it over 6 or 7 months of the 8 month season. Yes the club need the money quick but it is still money that they can budget for. Also like the buy a book of games. It cost a lot of money to come up the road every second week. If they could say choose any 8 home game exc old firm for ?15 a ticket and with this you get a voucher for the OF game, that could work. They must also be taken before the spilt. Then after the split offer packs for the 2 or 3 home games w are given.

Roll Call for the Hearts game on Saturday
Govan Jaggie replied to caley_donkey's topic in Caley Thistle
There will be no sale of tickets at the game. I have also got mine coming down by bus to b picked up, far safer. I received my tickets for Ibrox 2 weeks after the match! I had to stand in a que of DOBS at Ibrox who were waiting for tickets for Barca away. I wore a green top and green jacket to wind them up! -
I am the opposite of most. I miss the big OF games and make it up for the "smaller" games. The smaller games are the one's that really mater and we must get more people through the gates. Start by reducing the price and I am sure we would see a difference. ?17 for Tyncastle and ?20 for us? It makes no sense. I will be up for the Killie game and I think the club should think, "hey we just beat Celtic lets get those people back. As it is christmas and money is short, lets reduce the price and see how it goes." THen get adverts out letting people know and we could keep the good will going from yesterday.

What is the Polish version of this marvellous drink? Make sure you take some with you!
-
I believe it is the one who has been requested to return to Canada on more than one occasion!
-
So what horse told you Partick? Was it Polish and you didnt quiet translate it correctly? Maybe you just got your wee diddy teams mixed up which is understandable. One team that wishes it was the real Thistle and other which has to put up with being in Dundee. Oh what a choice for Caff.
-
You dont hear that gobby wee ginger twit admitting he was lucky that Pressely stayed on the park. Stopped a goal scoring chance :33: It was a penalty and in balance, Macdonald was onside, but Mr Strachan, tuff!!!!! You team was mince!

Who cares what the DOBS think. This was an ICT win for ICT. If however any DOB wishes to buy me drink as a thankyou!

Indeed the return of the original ICT hooligan! For anyone based in the Glasgow area, there is a few of us (7 so far) meeting up at 11am in the bar at Queen St to get the train to Edinburgh and then on to Diggers (Athletic Arms) pre match and it would be great to see you. -
Fantastic. Great first 10-15 mins then horrid. Great last mins of first half. Pressley should have walked. Yes it was a odgd penalty but once it was given he should have gone. Great second half from all the team. Great save from Fraser. As for the wee ginger pr*ck, all the shots? The last graphic I saw showed 14 shots each! This man is a complete prat and beating his lot of over rated and over paid numpties is such a joy. Here is to next week. Lets get a great support down and have more of the same. Top 6 by christmas?

He did play well. Some good touches, back defending to much in my opinion but that is what he must have been told to do. Should have scored the header though. Well done the whole team. Rode our luck a wee bit but 2 down to the champions and winning 3-2 is fantastic. So to the celtic fans, thats why you WONT be champions!

Thanks very much for your wordy approach to debate, keep up the good work. If yesterdays kung fu type lunge had connected, Black?s improved performance would have been for nothing. What rubbish. There were 2 tackles that Blackie was invloved with that could be debated but neither were kung fu type kicks. The one in the box when he jumped with the defender and was deemed to have fouled despite the hand of the defender round is neck pulling him to the ground. The 2 footed tackle. Well yes it was 2 footed and this is a foul. However, he did actually win the ball and was nowhere near connecting with the player. The only thing on his mind was winning the ball. The amount of fouls that Hibs gave away and were either not punished or punished but not carded was far more of a talking point when it comes to booking etc.

Well taken first goal and second he couldnt miss. His fluff of the shot in the first place was impressive. The one that whistled by the post would have been icing on the cake. However, he was certainly nowhere near man of the match. Rankin and Black were competing for that. Black's temprament was excellent. He got hammered a couple of times but just got on with it. The 4-5-1 left us sitting far to deep but hey it is working for now. I worked a bit better when Marius dropped back and Bayne led the line, very well I must say. I thought we were still shacky and paniced a lot with clearences. Special mentions to the little noticed or mentioned things: Mike Fraser - Well played son. Good saves. A couple of dodgy kicks but they were pass backs to his wrong foot. One bit of hesitation on his line but well played. Russel Ducan - Knowing he was coming off as he could hardly walk but still managed to walk to the opposite side of the pitch from the stand to mean it took even longer to walk off. John Rankin - His 40 yard lob effort on a 10 foot tall goalie. Sorry that should be 2 efforts of lobs on a 10 foot tall goalie. He must not be sold in the window. As for Marius, lets just wait and see. Good performance and I am sure he can produce more like it.
-
I hope he doesnt get grief from our fans as he was a great keeper for us. However, his kicking, catching of high balls and penalty saving did sometimes let him down. At least out team no his weakness!
-
If the boy is doing well then he has to keep playing. There is always right midfield for Ross but Cowie is on form so the bench it is.
-
Dago found form come October and never lookedback and it was his goals that gave us a real chance of the top 6. We are struggling to find goals from our forwards at the moment so how long do you give Marius? Dennis has been scoring so dropping him may not be the best bet. Do we just keep playing him and come April we are still saying "it will come"? I beleive he has real talent and you can see it in glimpses but we need more! Earn your money and more importantly, SHUT US ALL UP!!!!
-
Still got no time for him. Said at the time that I never wanted him back so I shall be standing by that. The team will continue to get my support as I can support them if not the manager. If he works a miricle and gets us challenging for the top 6 come April and maybe a cup semi or final then congratualtions to all, but I still dont like him so will not support him.

Happy? Not yet. The club has set its standards over the last 3 season and they may be punching above thier weight as we keep hearing but the standards have been set. With that in mind the team has not been performing to that standard. When we get back to that level I will be happy. This does not include playing defensive football at home to St Mirren. I am looking forward to Saturday as i do all games I am fortunate to get to and I actually think we have a decent chance.
-
If it was a fall out with Rankin, is Parkie away as Rankin got a game on Saturday? I dont go for the family stuff myself, a cosy get out. I do wish him all the best and thanks for the promotion season especially. Cheers Donald.

If he is away I would like to thank Caff for the years that he has been at the club. His performances along side Bobby were excellent. The game at Tyncastle when Fuller was expected to run rings round ICT and the Celtic game at home come to mind. He always has time for the fans and his family have also been fantastic when it comes to the fans. Who can forget the day at the Cartvale Bar before the Dunfermline semi final. It may be true that this season has not been Caffs best and maybe the SPL is slightly beyond him but he has been an important player for ICT. :clapping03:

Reminds me of a song: Brewster is the captain of out ship, of our ship, Our ship is a tanker and he's a ( 2 bad sexual references required)! Brewsters the captain of our ship, of our ship. I feel the worse things get the more apt this song will become.
-
If it is true, and I could be falling into a big trap here, then I am not surprised. He was not Brewsters man anyway. With Doctor Who back last week I am sure that Malky will be back soon also. This is dont mind as I think Malky is a far better manager/coach than Brewster. He seemed to be the one that got through to the players. However why the h*ll has it come to this anyway? There are serious problems at the club at the moment and they need sorted now!

He wishes! That was Craig Levein in the January transfer window on a pre contract. Dodds left in May this year.
