The referees are NOT told that, and to suggest otherwise is quite ridiculous. I think you will find they ARE told this and UEFA have said this is the case on many occasions They are NOT, and this is coming from someone who knows more then one referee (and a few ex-SPL and FIFA grade referees). Doing so is against the fundamental rules of the game. If UEFA have said this, then where is the links that back up your claim - the fact is that they will never EVER tell a referee to not book someone, they can't due to the nature of how a referee referee's. The media like to construe that the refs are told to be much more lenient, because they like to skew peoples opinion but evidence dictates otherwise.

I suppose I should add; If you go to www.championshipmanager.co.uk you can download Champ Man 01/02 for free. You do need to register, but that isn't really a hassle. Further, you can download an update as well.

Just played a season of it for old times sake! How do they make these emulators, does someone write a copy of the game from scratch or do they use the original code? Some smart people copy the original code using programs, and then they write a decoder that will work on a PC. Think of having an old PS2 mouse and needing to put it into a USB port. Just to warn you, not all emulators are strictly legal.

Is Craig Dunain not the mental hospital?

"We said if we could match Falkirk's results then we would stay up. It's going to be tight and there will be another round of games next week" Yes Terry, very good. There IS going to be another round of games next week...

Got this sent to me by my Dad; The British are feeling the pinch in relation to recent terrorist threats in Islamabad and have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved." Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Brits have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies all but ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to a "Bloody Nuisance". The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was during the great fire of 1666. The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide". The only two higher levels in France are "Collaborate" and "Surrender". The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France 's white flag factory, effectively paralysing the country's military capability. It's not only the French who are on a heightened level of alert. Italy has increased the alert level from "Shout loudly and excitedly" to "Elaborate Military Posturing". Two more levels remain: "Ineffective Combat Operations" and "Change Sides". The Germans also increased their alert state from "Disdainful Arrogance" to "Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs." They also have two higher levels: "Invade a Neighbour" and "Lose". Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual, and the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels . The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy. Americans meanwhile are carrying out pre-emptive strikes on all of their allies, just in case. And at a local level... New Zealand has also raised its security levels - from "baaa" to "BAAAA!". Due to continuing defence cutbacks (the airforce being a squadron of spotty teenagers flying paper aeroplanes and the navy some toy boats in the Prime Minister's bath), New Zealand only has one more level of escalation, which is "Shut, I hope Austrulia will come end riscue us". In the event of invasion, New Zealanders will be asked to gather together in a strategic defensive position called "Bondi". Australia, meanwhile, has raised its security level from "No worries" to "She'll be right, mate". Three more escalation levels remain: "Crikey!", "I think we'll need to cancel the barbie this weekend" and "The barbie is cancelled". There has not been a situation yet that has warranted the used of the final escalation level

Screw St Mirren, I can think of another team that regularly uses the term 'Loyal', which is where my problem stems from. Like it or loathe it, ICT are refereed to as Caley now a days. The merger happens well over 14 years ago now, most of the new, younger fans don't know of Thisle and Caledonian, only ICT.

It's been going 7 days. There is another one, petitioning that he stays that has 20 names or so on it.

Don't worry, he is still in the headlines. First with his defeat over the Gurkhas, and today over the Expenses, and take a look at the Downing St website and what the number 1 petition is

There is no written evidence of the holocaust from the Germans, Global Warming is happening but how much of it is down to humans I don't know, Susan Boyle was a set-up and the recesession is Communist Propaganda.... (the above views may have been written for a laugh)

I remain unconvinced that this is really that big a problem. The first death outside Mexico, was in fact a Mexican who had gone over the boarder to the USA to visit relatives. Completely misleading.

If you live in Linwood, try Greaves on Gordon Street in Glasgow City Centre. They might not have any in stock, but they are usually able to supply them. Whilst I remember, if it is the black one, are they not stupidly small anyway, hence you have to go for a bigger size?

Both just come back from serious injury recently... in addition to having waaaaay more experience at European and International level than Cowie, Black and Esson. As I said, i'm happy with the squad. Content that none of our players will get injured playing in a game that means very little. So why are they included then? Plus, I am sure that the B international was set up so players who didn't have international experience were given a chance to gain some. Unless Butcher has asked for his players not to be included (folly I think) then it's a disgrace, and I am actually ashamed to be from Scotland with this team.

No Cowie, no Black, no Esson? Yet they pick Wilson and Naismith who have barely featured?
-
I would happily compile an article giving the views of this website for publishing, but the question is whether or not it would be appreciated?

Are you going to the Midden game then ? I would be, but I am stuck in Africa till the 14th May.

Rubbish, the catering contract should go to MacLeans the Bakers.

Oh contrare EWS, it is you who will be picking up the tab for many years to come. Tell me about it. Ever so slightly pissed off, hence why one of my plans is to hotfoot it out of this country at some point. I wonder how many 150K+ earners suddenly decide that the UK isn't their home anymore? The thing is, they seem to be penalising everything about me really.

Do I have to? Yes, in my opinion I do. It is the heart of Scotland, has a great airport that provides links to places I need to go to because of work, my girlfriend is at university there, I don't drive and actually enjoy living there. It is a very enjoyable place to live. If you stay out of the areas where you get stabbed every day.

To carry on from the discussion in the Betting Forum (Never Chase Yer Money). What would you like to see from the Budget? Personally, I would like to see incentives and help for first time buyers in the property market. I am unashamedly going to re-post what I put in my last reply in the above mentioned topic;

I would argue that property wasn't the problem. I would say that it was banks giving mortgages out at 110-130% of the value of the property to people who they knew fine rightly would never be able to pay them back. The reason house prices rose, was as a direct result of banks giving out more and more money. As they did this, house prices got more expensive. Just because the mortgage market is the largest lending market out there placed all the focus on that. Property was just an innocent bystander in it all, and the problem lies firmly at the banks and idiot people. Who in their right mind gets a mortgage at 120% of the value of their house? It puts you in negative equity straight away. In the end, it has put people like me, who have come out of university with an employable degree, gone into a good, well paid job and is looking at getting on the property ladder when it is low. The fact that due to my age, and my former status as a student means that I find it difficult to get credit anyway is a different matter. The government should be encouraging people to start buying houses again, and that should drive the market. What they need to do is provide some incentive for the banks to give out mortgages to us. A recent enquiry on my behalf found that most places were willing to provide a mortgage based on my hypothetical earnings on a moderately priced flat, but with a 15-20% deposit required on that property. To put that into context, I live in Glasgow. Unless I want to get stabbed every day, I would be looking at somewhere between ?125-175K for a good quality flat in a decent location. At my current wage scale, it would take me a good number of years to save up for a deposit (that takes into account current living expenses), by which that time the housing market would have recovered and I would most likely need a higher deposit. Tell me how that is fair? We are consistently told that the youth are the future of the country. Well how about they start acting like it, and helping us out. We aren't all spongers you know, and some of us did go to University with the outlook to have a good job at the end of it - not to do an 'arts' degree. Maybe this discussion is best kept for the Serious Topics forum?
