  1. I'm not exactly a regular poster on here, but I can't make the game and I need somewhere to wish the team good luck. I'll be sitting in a pub somewhere in Dundee, but will be at the stadium in spirit. I'm really nervous about this, but I'm sure they can do the job. 'mon the Caley Thistle!
  2. Have to say, my Hibee flatmates are convinced Nish pulled Cowie over. They said there was no way it was a penalty.
  3. Think it's ?20 for adults, maybe a bit more. ?11 for concessions. I get to go to which ever pub my Hibee flatmate takes me too. :017:
  4. Presumably that's him. Strange that the BBC picked up on him being transferred but not our second most expensive player. Oh well...
  5. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/s...rem/7219066.stm Nice to see the BBC have their finger on the pulse of Highland football. No mention of us having signed Imrie on this list of transfers. Apparently we have transferred one Stephen McKenzie to Elgin. Is he an U-19, just I've never heard of him.
  6. I thought he would be a better choice than Cowie to replace Rankin behind Niculae. At the very least it would let Cowie get back onto the wing where he is at his best. Watching the game on TV, I thought Markus looked promising. Definitely looked good when he came on against Gretna.
  7. North stand was sold out. The ticket man had to give us west stand tickets.
  8. :022: Well, that's cheered me up a bit. Well done Caley, not many teams can do that. Bring on Hearts.
  9. Seems to be pretty blocked in Dundee too. I missed the first 25 minutes trying to find a pub here showing the game rather than the English games. I failed. :008:
  10. United is an awful name anyway, used by teams who had no imagination when thinking up a name. City is just as bad. I was delighted when the name change was rejected after Sneck became a 'city'.
  11. The last game I was at was Motherwell, and this was just such an improvement. God knows what Brewster has done, but it's certainly worked. A nice goal, a win and a clean sheet. I thought Proctor did well today, good defending and going forwards. Good to see Rankin and Black starting too. Also, was that Iain Vigurs' first appearance for the first team?
  12. There are a few pubs on Perth Road, towards Dundee Uni that are pretty good. The Nether Inn is the only one with a pool table and that's pretty cramped. The Phoenix opposite and Braes, just up the road do good food, and will probably be showing the early game. Never had much football banter with the folk in there, but my mate was wearing an Ireland top in Braes the other night, and got his hand kissed by a very wasted Septic fan. Can't be more than about a thirty minute walk to the Tannadice from there.
  13. Aye, sounds like the defense has woken up slightly.
  14. Excellent, but that's two goals i've missed while the BBC messed about with the online radio.
  15. What are the BBC playing at, the game keeps coming and going. I'm getting Aberdeen Gretna just now. By the we, Aberdeen are winning so we're off the bottom for now :021:
  16. I have rarely been actually shouting at the radio, but I was today by the end. Think i may have disturbed my entire street when Brewster scored. Well done to the whole team :clapping03:
  17. I'm surprised that they're taking so long with some people. I ordered the replica on the website on Friday evening, and it arrived in Dundee on Tuesday morning. I was actually reasonable impressed since the website says to allow at least a week for delivery. Sounds like I am the exception here though.
  18. Think the smallest place with a team is Brechin. Scary thing is I didn't have to look that up... :006:
  19. Definately. Only got it one the radio, but it sounded like Caff did well in Dods' place. Mike Fraser sounded like he did superbly too :022:
  20. That'll be the one, actually. Cheers.
  21. Don't think anything has convinced me more of the need for a pyramid system in Scottish football than East Stirlingshire. Thats probably a bit harsh, but there are a few decent sides in the lower leagues who could probably do better. A play off between the champions of the Highland, East, west Leagues and bottom of the Third Division would be the best idea.
  22. The BBC is really bad for getting ICT player's names wrong. Against celtic for example we appeared to have the well known author Ian Rankin in midfield :014:
  23. Agree absolutely. Why does someone have to be blamed? Sometimes things just happen regardless. I would assume McAllister was brought on to keep the formation 4-4-2 that had worked for the rest of game. CC will have thought about who to bring on, he won't just have thrown someone on at random.
  24. Don't think I've been as disappointed by a loss as this one. I admit that I went expecting to get humped, but our defence was so superior to their fabled attack, I thought we'd done it. We need to concentrate on the league now (obviously). I think that if we go with that team, and if they play as well as they did today, top six should be easy enough to reach. As gutting as it was, I think we have to look at the positives from today, such as the way Ian Black played, and everyone else frankly.
  25. Was going to support Celtic tonight, but just found that I couldn't. I blame my mates (of the hooped variety) for thinking that they would win it because they are celtic. :020:
