  1. Don't think I've been as disappointed by a loss as this one. I admit that I went expecting to get humped, but our defence was so superior to their fabled attack, I thought we'd done it. We need to concentrate on the league now (obviously). I think that if we go with that team, and if they play as well as they did today, top six should be easy enough to reach. As gutting as it was, I think we have to look at the positives from today, such as the way Ian Black played, and everyone else frankly.
  2. Was going to support Celtic tonight, but just found that I couldn't. I blame my mates (of the hooped variety) for thinking that they would win it because they are celtic. :020:
  3. I don't think we need to worry too much yet. Let's face it, the Pars are going down. On the other side, we are only six points behind Killie in 7th who are, as Alex says, a bit hit and miss at the moment. As are United, Well and Falkirk. Once Dargo gets back and starts banging in the goals again, i think we will start climbing the table again. :022:
  4. What I liked best was where it says 'Partick Thistle TV' :015:

How many fans do we get a games from further afield than Inverness? I really across the Highlands? Would it be worth the club doing exhibition games in some of the more remote places in the region against local teams? Places like Kyle of Lochalsh, Fort William, Ullapool, Wick, Thurso. Maybe even out to Stornoway and Kirkwall. My impression is that ICT are focussed soley on the town. While they are doing this, giving out money off vouchers to people out in these places to encourage them to come to games when they are in Sneck might be another idea.
  6. :015: Would we want them? We would have to keep Neil Lennon too. :020:
  7. Give him a bit of time. You can't just walk into the No. 1 shirt at this level. I've only seen him on TV, but he has not seemed to have had many serious problems. Just hope he doesn't go dribbling against the tic though. :018:
  8. Thank god he wasn't. I was watching the game with a tic fan who was convinced that the ref was biased in our favour. He might have exploded.
  9. I remember us playing Wilson uo front against hibs at easter Road last season. Didn't do us any harm then, think we won 2-0. I'd give McSwegan a chance, if nothing else then to see if we are getting our money's worth.
  10. We deserved more than that. The tic were poor, we played well. Rory was excellent, if he keeps up like that, he should fill in fine of Denzil.
  11. Having a look at the league table, aren't we unbeaten at home against the top five teams? Celtic (1-1) Rangers (2-1) :001: Hearts (0-0) Aberdeen (1-1) Hibs (0-0 and 3-0) :001: I see no reason why we can't get something out of this game, especially if we play like we did last week.
  12. To be fair to Higgins, the first one would have been difficult one to stop for any keeper. Agree fully with your top three, but would add that one in fourth.
  13. Very smart. I would love one. Not sure that I can justify spending that much unfortunately :009:
  14. As peed off as I am by this, I hope he does well. Just not as well as Mike Fraser, obvoiusly. Good luck man. :022:
  15. Aye the whole launch was impressive. The aerial ballet was strange but really good. Had no clue what was going on at the start though.
  16. **** Camopbell in the Sunday Herald: "Give me Celtic at Parkhead or Rangers at Ibrox any day" Who does he get? Deveronvale :015:
  17. CaleyD, I agree with everything you just said there. CC is new, and will make mistakes, who doesn't? But everyone else learns from them, so I don't see why he can't. I am sure we will stay up this year at the very least.
  18. Classic. :021: It's what computers were made for!
  19. Aye but you can turn that around and say that if the Aberdeen striker had hit the ball a bit further left a few weeks ago, or if Craig Gordon had made a mistake in the Hearts game, we would be four points better off. Luck works both ways. While I agree that things are bad at the moment, I think that we still have time to turn it round. Look at Aberdeen: poor at the start, now joint second I think. Don't see why we can't do that.
  20. Aye, Dougal sounds like he is being overly strict. I can see someone being sent off in this game, hopefully not for us though.
  21. I seem to remember Christie saying that Grant Munro would be a future captain. Think it was after the game against rangers. He might get a go this weekend.
  22. It will be my first chance to vote in the Scottish election this year, and I already know where it's going. Not one arguement from Labour or the Tories has convinced me the SNP will not be better than what we have had up until now. Yes it is...
  23. Don't think anoyone here will blame Dargo. I certainally don't. He had a long spell last year when he didn't score, then became the second highest scorer in the league. He'll pull through it. I predict five past United next week. :021:
  24. Would agree with the mountaineering, had I not just spent last weekend in a freezing tent beside someone who snored most of the night. :008: Not fun.
  25. As good as this will be for us when we play them, it's a shame in terms of the interest in the league. Really bad for me as my Tic-supporting flatmate is becoming unbearable :angry06: He's loving it.
