David Sutherland (Tullochs) is reported to hold at least a 29% shareholding and according to the Inverness Courier, Sandy Catto has 16% and Alan Savage 12%. The Courier have quoted David Sutherland as saying that he would increase his shareholding to block the businessman, who he believes would want a controlling interest in return for his investment. Graeme Bennet also states that the board would not want anyone to have a controlling stake in the club. I have spoken with Les Kidger this morning who is the chairman of the Supporter's Trust and he is disappointed that the Trust have not been advised by the ICT board, of this potential investment, despite our enhanced voting rights of almost 12%. Until we are aware of the actual proposals on the table we couldn't make any proper comment, but we would expect this to be a topic worthy of discussion at our AGM next Thursday. I would expect that the Trust would also share the views of Mr Sutherland and Mr Bennet, that having one business or individual in control of the club wouldn't be in the club's best interests, but we can't really make a decision until we have some information on the proposals.

Can't be bothered typing the full story, but keep an eye out for the courier online in a while. Both a Scottish and an English investor have contacted ICT. Scottish investors want to improve the stadium and the English aparently want to use us as a feeder club. David Sutherland is reported as saying he would increase his shareholding to stop a businessman taking overall control of the club which has been run so well up until now. Front page on the Courier with lots of quotes suggesting this more than a rumour.
  3. I had my Courier before I came in last night and there were a couple of things I wanted to post, but it kept ignoring my text. When I checked I noticed there hadn't been much activity, so I put it down to site 'issues' and went to bed. Tried to PM you about it but the same again, it kept telling me I hadn't included any text. :009:
  4. Thank you everyone. That's quite a few tables pre booked and still a few to confirm. Don't leave it too long though.
  5. Bad timing, I hope he doesn't show an instant impact.
  6. Not this time. Dress code will be collar and tie for the men (hopefully trousers and a shirt too :015: )
  7. So it's all his fault :rotflmao:
  8. I think that it is difficult to be a manager and a player, but he seemed to cope with it okay. I'm pretty sure that his shoulder injury will have influenced his decision. He kicks every ball from the dug out anyway. He took a few shots on Saturday. :003:
  9. Okay guys - here it is the official information. Saturday 29th March - 7.00 for 7.30pm - Drumossie Hotel, Inverness Champagne reception on arrival Dinner with speaker - Jimmy Nicholl from Aberdeen FC Followed by a Vegas style casino night and dancing to Davie Moss and friends, who are an excellent band. Tables of 10 on sale from Friday at ?550 We have been allowed the opportunity to pre-book seats, so if you can commit to definitely wanting a seat (or a table), please send me a pm or phone me on 07769 697899. I will have a number for you for table bookings from Friday onwards, but if you want to take advantage of this pre-sale then please get in touch with me before then. There is no doubt that this will be a sell out night, so don't take too long to think about it.
  10. No probs CCC. I'll post the info here as soon as I have it.
  11. I think that this is still to be confirmed, but it won't be too ridiculous as Barry wants it to be accessible for fans. I THINK it will be around the ?55 mark, but awaiting confirmation. You'll be the first to know. :003:
  12. He won't be cup tied as we haven't played any games yet in this competition. I know he is playing well and that Brew is wanting to hang on to him, but if St Mirren come up with a suitable offer for him then I believe he will be off. I suspect he has agreed all the personal terms required (or his agent will have on his behalf). At the end of the day ICT can refuse the offer and force him to honour his contract and I'm sure he would be professional enough to do so, but if he wants to go, then I think it's just an issue of how much St Mirren are prepared to pay us in compensation. I don't think we should let him go for less than we paid for him. So if the buddies can find another 15-20,000 then I think he'll be allowed to go. Shame though, he is a good player and I would be happy to see him in an ICT shirt for a while longer.
  13. Andyo, Your post made me a little angry and my first thought was to delete it, but you are entitled to your opinion. Testimonial years are not given lightly and have to be approved by the SFA. In my opinion (and I'm sure many others) Barry is very deserving of his testimonial year. I was with my previous employer for 17 years and you are right they didn't chose to give me a testimonial, but that's not the done thing. A footballers career is a short one and testimonials reflect that. I take it you won't be looking for a seat at the dinner or what about the potential 'big' testimonial match? So far I have not spoken to anyone who shares your opinion, so can we keep this thread on topic please and in relation to the forthcoming testimonial dinner.

I believe Charlie is in charge of the Centenary Club once again, as well as a new lotto which is about to be officially launched.
  15. :015: :015: The power of moderation has gone to your head Alex. But you are absolutely right, it'll all make more sense once the official announcement is made. I'm sure it'll be a night that will be well supported. :021:
  16. The Setanta issue is certainly a consideration and would certainly impact on the event if the game is changed. I'm not sure the club can refuse to have the game re-scheduled, so fingers crossed that it isn't an issue. At the back of my mind I think that this 'can't beat Aberdeen' thing just might make the fixture more appealing to the television. Gringo - we'll keep you in mind, PB's and myself will have a table and I'm sure we can squeeze you in. :004: But if you're coming up, please don't tell Setanta, as they seem to know when you have booked your travel. :010: I'm with Johnboy on this one, our first win over the Dandy Dons would set the night up perfectly. I'm sure it will be a fantastic night, with some great guests.
  17. [attach=1] [attach=2] Barry's testimonial Dinner is booked for Saturday 29th March following our home game v Aberdeen. This will take the form of a Dinner Dance and casino night with guest speakers in the Drumossie Hotel. Exact details and information regarding tickets etc will be finalised later this week. This will definitely be a sell out event and while we would expect a large corporate interest, Barry has requested that there are some tables reserved for fans. The testimonial comittee will be in a position to release final information within the next few days, but I just thought I would give you a little advanced warning as this is one event where we will not be able to sit back and decide nearer the time. So check your diaries now, so that you can get your bookings in sooner rather than later. poster.pdf
  18. Yes - Pass marks from me. Good clean defending and useful in the box for free kicks and corners. He has the fitness to get back and do his job in defense as required. A good prospect for the long term at ICT. :021: :021:
  19. I received an e-mail from the club advising me of the minute's applause. It is at the request of the SPL as there were a lot of teams who didn't have the chance to show their respect on Wednesday. The teams will also wear black armbands. I think a minute's applause is quite fitting for someone so young and so popular. Heartbreaking to see his wife and young family arriving at the funeral today. Don't think it's too much to ask that we take a minute out of our day to recognise him. I happily joined in when we were in Aberdeen and will do so again with pride tomorrow.

It's a nightmare to fight through the copyright issues. Doesn't mean it can't be done though. :004:

Good luck Caff and I hope it all works out well. Thanks for all you have done at ICT.
  23. The game was postponed at Celtic's request. Our game is definitely going ahead. I have spoken to people at the club and there has been absolutely no talk of a postponment. A minute's applause will be held as a mark of respect to Phil O'Donnell.
  24. I have no doubt we CAN do it, but will we? I was so confident the last time and look what happened. :019: :019: Fingers crossed, in fact everything crossed. It would be the best way to start the New Year.
