Gary McSwegan
Albertz was interviewed on the radio the other night and said when a friend asks for your help, you always like to help if you can and that is why he is flying in tomorrow to sign a contract until the end of the season. I'm sure their gate receipts will most definitely increase, even the not so loyal Clyde fans will surely turn out in numbers. Good bit of business for Clyde I would say.

Gary McSwegan
Laura, Gary is an ex ranger. He started his career with them. That is what I meant by that comment Alex. Meaning that it is very likely to be true. John Brown is manager and Andy Goram asst Manager and goal keeping coach. Calling in a few favours from old team mates

Jorg Albertz is signing for Clyde tomorrow and they did say on the radio the other night that there might be one other also to sign on Friday. (I did think they meant another ex Ranger) Fair play to him, they could have a good end to their season

Duncan
Jnr, I think you are right about his agent. They are obviously keen to fill their own pockets out of any deal. Testimonial money is for the player, I always thought like a bit of a thank you from the club/fans for their service. With the way players move about they will become a think of the past shortly. I'm sure some of the really big testimonials might give money to a charity or to their club, but it is for the benefit of the player.

Another week Still no Contracts
Okay - back on topic :001: :003: Interview with Dennis in today's P & J saying that his agent is dealing with things, but he is going to sign, just sorting a couple of little things out. His eldest daughter is due to start school after the summer and they are settled in the area. They don't want to move but he had to get the best deal possilbe which is understandable. :021:

Aberdeen Game - 29th March
Yes he will be able to attend. His 28 day loan period will be over by then and even if he extends his loan period he'll make it back on time. I'm guessing today's result will have an influence on whether or not he extends his loan period. :003: Currently 1 - 1

LOSERS
You are right it probably was a blessing in disguise. :003:

Aberdeen Game - 29th March
This was a worry and indeed Setanta have considered the option, but I suspect that they would have announced it by now. Barry Wilson has his testimonial dinner on the Saturday night, so a Sunday fixture wouldn't have been great as the players would not have been able to attend. Think we are in the clear now though. :003:

LOSERS
Okay, especially for Heilandee An update as far as I can While Les has an early birthday celebration in Las Vegas, Maimie has taken the overall lead with a fantastic 2 stone loss so far. Weigh ins this week were on different days so I don't have all the up to date information. I do know that Doug has now passed his target weight and Les was doing really well, but I think he might have had a bit of a set back. David has also lost a fair bit and has been very good at adding a bit of fitness to his campaign which is helping. I am probably the slowest losing just a pound or two each week, but I still hope have lost at least 1 stone by the end of the month. Your money is safe for another couple of weeks Heilandee as it's the 31st March we finish. But maybe you need to invite Maimie round for dinner which might save you a couple of quid at the end of the day. :015: :015: :015: Remember folks you can donate online HERE

GRETNA RESIGN FROM SFL
no relegation if Gretna go bust. they would be deemed the relegated team. If they are to be relegated to probably the 2nd division (as suggested), there will still need to be relegation from the SPL and then I suppose 2 teams come up to make space further down the line to slot Gretna in.

Black at it again
Gillian - fair comment. Your point 1 though - I had a perfect view and he did throw his shirt to the ground. The doctor picked it up and followed him up the tunnel. I don't want to go on about this, because as I said above I really like Blackie, both the player and the person. He didn't throw his top away in full site of most of the main stand as he was past the dug out and near the entrance to the tunnell. This does offend me. He did then re-appear in his suit and join his father in the stand, only a couple of rows in front of where I sit. This is unusual. I don't think I said he left before the fans but he did leave shortly after the end of the game, in his defence this might have been because he was already showered and suited. I like him a lot and really don't want to give him a hard time, but you said you were setting the record straight so the facts are therefore important. Were you at the game?

Interesting New Employee......
MMMmmmmm Interesting theory Caley D. That would also keep the Dowling/Cairngorm Windows link. When they say David Dowling is guaranteeing the overdraft, is that personally or via Cairngorm. As for Robbo, maybe he just needed a job. Who would know.

The Ian Black Appreciation Thread
I sit just behind the home dug out so had a very clear view of things. I really like Blackie, but he has to screw the nut.

The Ian Black Appreciation Thread
He had already taken his top off by the time he had gone off the pitch. He then threw it to the ground/kitman who then tried to give it back as he started to walk down the tunnel but Black shrugged him off. Since when did the doctor become kitman? The doctor tried to calm him down, he threw his shirt away in temper, but not until he was out of sight of most of the main stand. The doctor picked it up and followed him up the tunnel. He returned suited and jumped into sit with his family in the stand. I believe he left the building quite soon after the final whistle as he did once before. His discipline on the pitch has improved, but he still has a bit to go yet. I really like Blackie and rate him as a player. I can even understand his frustration yesterday, but he has to try not to show it quite as much as he does. I don't think we'll see him in the next game

They tried to stop him passing the bench, but he shrugged them off and then threw his top on the ground. That to me is unacceptable. He might have been angry, but he should respect the shirt IMO

Barry Wilson's Testimonial Dinner/Dance
Testimonial plans remain unchanged. :003: Barry has only gone on a 28 day loan which is a pretty good compromise. He will probably go straight into the St J team and he will be able to play in their Scottish cup tie next weekend. I suspect the only way he will extend the loan deal will be in St J get through to the next round of the cup. As it stands he will be back at ICT before March 29th.

Baz Leaving ICT
I met Barry earlier today and he didn't know what was happening as he was just arriving at the stadium. He really wasn't sure what to do for the best as he wants to play football, but he didn't really want to leave Inverness. It would certainly be a shame if we never got the chance to see him in an ICT shirt again and have the chance to show our appreciation. I have now heard that he will be going to St Johnstone in the morning, but only for a 28 day loan period. He isn't cup tied and will be eligible to play next weekend for St J in the cup. Unless they end up progressing further in the cup I suspect he'll return north for the rest of the season. His testimonial events will be unaffected by the loan and if things go according to this current plan he will be back with us prior to his dinner anyway. All the best Barry and hopefully we'll see you back in a month.

Duncan
I think he has options in England, but I'm sure he would rather stay in Inverness where he is settled. I'm not always sure that agents see more than ? signs when negotiating on behalf of players.

Supporters Club Race Night on 29th February
We are planning heading down, as you say they are good fun nights.
