  1. That's a bit of a shock as it said on the radio the other night that he doesn't have as many duties at Celtic now and he was the continuity in the Scotland team. I think he was only ever going to be number 2 though and maybe that didn't please him.

My thoughs are similar EWS. I have watched this thread unfold but haven't posted until now. Partly because I'm not sure how I feel about it. I think Mark must have enough belief in himself to feel he can challenge for the no.1 Jersey through time. We know he is a hard working keeper and regularly puts in extra training sessions. Money talks and I'm sure he'll be well paid for sitting on the bench. He should however receive expert coaching to improve the weaknesses in his game. This may well indeed be what is needed for him to make more of an impression on the National Stage. The synic in me feels that sometimes the old firm buy up players to stop them playing against them. I hope this isn't the case on this occasion. The media attention he will receive is a big issue though as Mark is quite a private and quiet person. Don't think he'll enjoy that part of it. I don't blame him for going, it's obviously an offer he couldn't refuse and we get a bit of money from letting him go now. I really wish him all the best, but I'm not convinced this is a great move for him, although I do understand why he has to take it. I do believe that we had made him a good enough offer to keep him, reportedly until 2009, but that was before Celtic came calling. I am however pleased that Michael Fraser will, at last, get a chance to prove he is capable of keeping the number 1 jersey. He has been pretty fed up sitting on the bench and I think we might have lost him before long if he wasn't going to get a game. Good luck to them both.

  4. There did seem to be some kind of meeting today at 2pm, but it may just have been a board meeting or something. Oh dear MEE :015: :015:
  5. :015: :015: :015: Surely the chairman wouldn't have had to be there for that.
  6. No wind up - there was definitely a Press Conference, just no idea what it was about. However thanks to the info from MEE we have been able to have a bit of fun wondering what it is all about, :003:
  7. And they've called a press conference for that???? Bizarre :015:
  8. :015: :015: :015: :015: Nice one Johnboy. I can however tell you that CC was not present at the press conference. :024: Could still be info about players contracts. Must be something the deem to be pretty important to call a special press conference. Nothing to do with Elton John either I am told.
  9. I predict good news. A player or two signed extension to their contracts. Can't imagine we would go to too much bother to announce bad news. Maybe we have had money invested to allow better terms. I really haven't a clue, but it's fun trying to guess. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
  10. P & J have a photo of Markus so it looks as though that was done at yesterdays press conference. There is a press conference usually every Tuesday and Thursday, so this is a bit unusual any many of the players are normally off on a Wednesday. Now I did notice something a bit different about this week regarding some key players, but I thought it might just be a change of routine with the game being on Sunday rather than Saturday. ?? Now I'm not so sure. MP interview - yesterday

I would say give it to Rossco for the rest of this season as it's his testimonial year and it might just return that edge to his game that he seems to be missing a bit at the moment. Then hopefully Barry Wilson will play for another season and he is definitely leading the team like a captain at the moment, so give it to him for next season and by then Granty will be ready to take the role on. There you go - sorted. :001:
  12. :001:I'm just getting a red cross :001: - do you think you could test your photos before posting them. Feb 8th is available for advice in this area. :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015:

I think Caff can rise to the challenges ahead. He is a good player, he reads the game well and is very vocal. :021: :021:
  14. 20/1/07 Clach are at home to Inverurie Locos - might be worth a look also. :003:
  15. On the 27th Dundee are playing in Dingwall, could we maybe lend our support. Heilandee comes along to our games, maybe we should return the favour and bolster the Dundee support - anyone up for it??
  16. Interesting to see Brewster starting, but no surprise.

:015: :015: :015: :015: Well done Maimie for taking this responsibility on board, unfortunately you won't be in control when he meets up with absent friend. I had the pleasure of watching the last ICT v the Dons game in the company of Absent Friend and he even bought the pies, but you can never be sure. :015:
  18. They have only signed him until the end of the season though. that worries me a bit as they could still get Mark Brown on a pre contract. Can't see it though. Falkirk is no step up. Can't believe that they could offer him that much more than us that would make it worth relocating for. He has bought a house here and seems to quite like living here. That has to be a major factor. He had to speak to Falkirk to let ICT know that he is prepared to move if the money is right. That then gives them a chance to improve their offer to keep him. I think this is all hypothetical really and I suspect we might manage to keep him (unless a bigger club comes in with an offer he really can't refuse)

  20. Also announced on MFR news.
  21. Good post Scotty :021: :021: Fair comments indeed.
  22. No problem, I only found out about this last night. It was just in case you had any left over that you wanted rid off.
  23. ICT Supporters Trust are about to receive a donation of programmes. The plan is that we will list them on ebay with any proceeds being donated to the trust. So if you don't get any offers for them on here, you could follow suit and donate them to the trust to raise funds.

Now Chic will be upset. :015: :015: Can't please all of the people all of the time. :015:
  25. :015: :015: :015: :015: Hilarious.
