  1. There I was sitting in my mates house in Inverness chilling , My 8 year old being baby sat by my middle step daughter. When 8yr old texts me simply saying "Get Home Now!" I phones she's in floods of tears and hysterical, saying that their was a massive spider in her bedroom, that her sister was screaming at her and her sisters boyfriend was teasing and winding her up. So jump in car and drive back to the village.... and sort out everyone and get rid of spider! The joys of parent hood!! Come on the Caley Jags...
  2. When the P&J reporter suggested to TB that our new players won't be prepared for the Derby match with County. Butcher said: ?The new players are not a bunch of aliens who have arrived here on space rockets" Loving his style almost as good a quote as the "I'm waiting to get my Scottish Tourism Hospitality Award" when he was talking about introducing trialists to Inverness.
  3. Dundee have only a few days to sort their defence, Mihadjuks has led them a merry dance and is not signing. They are talking about bringing in a defender, but their fans think they need a whole new defence. Thats all good for us!! :) Tick, Tok... Tick, Tok..
  4. "i shall be in my cow suit" Stirling Observer Rather worrying the "my" bit, why the feck do you own a cowsuit ??. Is it one of various farmyard animal suits you have in your wardrobe or did you buy it for a part in panto or something??
  5. Call me old fashioned, but given that we were relegated on goal difference, I'd far rather we beat County 3-0 or more and vastly improve our g/d in case it's a factor in promotion.
  6. Stratford might not take long shots, but he makes a better pass and can take a corner unlike Duncan.
  7. Woodys truck stops steak pie, fish & chips or all day breakfast is cheap and cheerful and handy for the ground.
  8. "Straford strikes me as being a bit like Duncan....never does anything that really makes him stand out, but plays a simple game with very few mistakes." CaleyD I agree with you and indeed there were a couple of lads behind me at the game and they were talking about Stratford in the same way. Our defending tonight however, was rubbish.. Play like that against County and we will get beat!! Was Rossco trying to out Bomb Scare Lionel? What a difference in Haynes (seems to be losing weight and finding some match fitness) he certainly looks to have some talent, his ball control is brilliant and he is keen to take guys on. I really cannot fault what TB is doing style wise, with the addition of talents of his new players, he's got us playing attractive, passing football using the full width of the pitch.. It's so much better to watch than Brewsters long ball garbage. Cox has me asking "Who was Ian Black?" and he was a player I didn't think we could replace...
  9. I worry about bringing in such a young player, however if he settles he may well do a job. I'm certainly impressed by what I've read regarding him and he fits the bill at 6 foot 3.
  10. "?2 mil in the red in 98/99 and then managed to turn everything around to become a profitable club" What you say is true, however we didn't turn it around as in "pay it back the hard way". Having said that we also didn't do a Livi and go insolvent and pay back 5p in the ?.. But Sutherland pulled some kind of buisness accounting "smoke and lights trick" and the debt vanished. I don't think anyone really knows or understands where this debt went just that it was lost from ICT's books. I think it is still there but owed and owned by another company, rather than ICT the club. There are a few on here that worry one day it will come back in some way and bite us on the bum.. one way or another.
  11. There is more too this. From what I've heard Stokes has been having problems keeping himself together and his playing career was suffering as a result. He is rather too much the party animal shall we say and he realises this is no good for his career. Yogi is well known in football circles to have walked the walk and come through other side. Stokes knows this from his time at Falkirk, and he knows that Yogi can help him with these demons and help him be all he can be.. This is why Stokes has taken a massive pay cut to come up to Hibs..
  12. I'd give Eagle the first half at least, he usually starts but tends to fade... (fitness?), but is effective to start with. I think the reason he is getting critisised so much is that he's not very good when it comes to taking players on. He needs to work on his physical strength. He's also left footed and has been playing too much on the wrong side. However, he's a better, passer, crosser of the ball than we have had here ... the Norwich fans saw him as poor mans Beckham I guess if you play him to his strengths then he will be fine. What I don't understand is that he has played several times for Norwich reserves as a defender. Even I think I could bully him and pass him!!
  13. Realistically, if the person sitting next to you is a smoker they will prob smell a bit of stale smoke anyhow (whether they go for a fag or not). I don't like the smell of booze on a person. Since I stopped drinking it's really obvious to me. Should we ban that as well, after all drinkers cost the NHS ?millions in hospital visits each year ?? Not to menton the crime that often is associated with drunken behaviour. Perhaps you should stay in your house, close all the windows and wrap yourself in cotton wool so you don't ever have to risk being subjected to car fumes and the reak of stale smoke. I will also bet if it was a attractive young busty blond smoker who was sitting beside you at TCS and she wanted to snog you, you would have no objection. Live and Let Live...
  14. Freedom of movement!! The ability to come and go from stadium at my will. CaleyD you are right, I could pay... but why should I? I'm not going to pay to have my civil liberties restored, I suggest this is a massive social injustice and very very wrong!
  15. This really is an unbelievable situation, members of the Kingsmills club can get out for a fag at half time no prob. Normal punters cannot. Do members of the Kingsmills club get special golden match day tickets that don't have the words "No Readmitance" on them ? I don't think so.. !! So if you are a buisness man who might invest in club we don't want to treat you like a prisoner, feel free to come and go! But if you are a normal paying fan who sits in the stands we will revoke your civil liberties and hide behind our small print terms and conditions.....
  16. you weren't at sea much last season then B) Think you wil find it was the team that were all at sea last season!
  17. Found this, though you guys might appreciate. video "How To Get The IT Dept. To Do Their Actual Job!" http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-get-th...heir-actual-job
  18. This funny video was posted on another forum I post on. I thought people here might appreciate it !! http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-behave...-internet-forum Recognise anyone!! B) G
  19. Needle in Haystack stuff, find a quality striker (on a free, fit into our wage structure and that will come to Inverness) However, if anyone can do it I'm sure TB can (he has the contacts and carisma)
  20. A few years since I worked fixing computers. Often I found users with a little knowledge was the most dangerous. The one that sticks in my mind, was the guy that bought parts to build 3 pc's for a local hotel. When he came to get the bits, he bragged that building pc's was easy he'd built more than I'd had hot dinners. He rang me next day, cursing the bits I had supplied. They don't work!! Not one machine will boot... I asked him to bring one tower too me. On inspection he had mounted the mainboard directly to the case, but had failed to install any of the little brass standoffs that came with the case.. That mistake cost him ?600+
  21. We deffo looked better last night. Why can't we have a ref like that every game?? He was so much better than what we usually get. I thought Sanchez did ok, he scored one and was unlucky with another couple. Foran should have had 5.. Eagle did ok to my mind. Haynes had a much better game, when he came to us he certainly lacked match fitness perhaps he's starting to get some. The only player I struggle to give pass marks too is Rooney (to my mind he lacks ball control). I also think, we are much better attack wise when Rossco plays. He can be very effective running down the wing.
  22. I fail to see how opening and closing a door at half time costs any money.. There are plenty of security people who are employed to stand about anyway... Addicts are some of the most strong willed people you will ever meet, ask anyone who works with them... nicotine has been proven to be as addictive as heroin. So I don't really think self control is the issue, if you were an addict you would realise it's nearly as simple as that.
  23. Didn't have any Snow either !!, yet look what their Bobsleigh team achieved !! ;)

"You are born Working class. You CANNOT move to middle class. Even with all the money in the world. If you started working class then you had to WORK for your money. So you cannot move out of your class. Sounds stupid, you may not agree. But its true." DornochCaley So middle class people don't work for their money?? You are confusing the middle class with the upper class!!. Sorry but your concept of middle class is wrong, it's not so much about money, more about job status, attitude and education. My Father was brought up in a family of 5 in a 2 room and kitchen (council flat) in Glasgow, his dad was a joiner (so at this point he was a working class kid). He left home at 17 and did 2 university degrees and became a church Minister . He married a teacher who's parents were wealthy professionals and came from a posh area of Glasgow. His brother got a degree and a teaching qualification and became a school dept. headmaster he also married a teacher. So both brothers went from working class to middle class. ** Sorry about going off topic again ! **
