  1. "That boy Stratford is quite possibly the worst footballer on the planet" I think you are being a touch hard on Stratford. His work rate and commitment today was excellent, and although his crossing/corners were rubbish, his general passing was better than many of our players today. He like a few others are far from match fit...and hardly know the other players... give it time...
  2. I though the ref was terrible.. And so were we!!. Cox was my mom (If he can play like that with bad arm, what can he do when arm better!).
  3. Whats the crack re ticket prices. I'm ?12 but not sure if my 8 year old is free or a ?6 consession. Cheers, G
  4. Just picked up this weeks Highland News, had not seen it. It says that TB is happy to go with Kyle Allison as second keeper even tho he is just 19. So guess we are not signing a keeper.. G
  5. Yes I agree it looks like Bulvitis and Stratford will be offered deals, I also think we have to sign a keeper and now TB is talking about a striker. What happened to the smaller squad idea, lower wages budget ??? G
  6. How did Stratford do today??
  7. Was a bit worried it was going to go pete tong!! What with the rain and Caley D threatning to sing... But thankfully both stopped just in time...
  8. Back from open night at the stadium. TB's body language (christ sound like IHE) and comments make me believe that Daniel Stratford is probably next in line for a deal. The fact he is a utility player helps as well. Terry talked about him more than any other player/trialist, saying he worked hard, always smiled and pointed out to the fans he played for DC, asked fans if they had heard of DC, and had a degree in sports science. Terry did say he hoped to sign 2 next week, he looked over to the chairman at that point who jokingly gave him the ok.. then he went on to say in typical tongue in cheek style he'd like Mr chairman to ok another 7 players.
  9. Agreed re Tokley, Eagle can play LB as well. The cover situation is looking much better..
  10. Butcher sees Danny Sanchez as a creative midfielder and was saying positive things about him in the press..
  11. I'm quite excited to see Eagle get a deal... Lets hope we sign him for more than 1 year, I think he has real potential.
  12. Aye, but they will have money to bring in replacements.. and invest in their future.
  13. You could conversly argue that Tolkely cost us our place in the SPL through by getting himself sent off early in our last vital game ! Not that I would, cos he's bigger than me!!
  14. Yes I agree I drunk from the cup of "arrogance" this morning.. Get like that when I'm high, I got the wife 6 bottles of cava sparkling wine (?33) yestersday for Free, thanks to a Tesco price/clubcard glitch.. think getting another one over on Mr T, went to my head..Sorry.... lol.. :-)
  15. Prozac or what??
  16. You don't do that to teams like Elgin as it would demoralise them before their season falls apart. LOL!!
  17. Would love to see that team play in that formation... lol
  18. TB quote from todays P&J "I am pleased with the progress we are making, we are not spraying the ball about and dominating teams by beating them by seven or eight goals, you don?t do that in pre-season against teams like Elgin that work hard" Shouldn't we be scoring 7 or 8? ,we are losing goals to crap teams!. Mr Butcher isn't it amazing how much better things look when you add a bit of spin or is it the red wine ! G
  19. I think we really need Eagle, we need width, someone who can whip the ball into the strikers with accuracy.. Get that happening and even Barrowman might start to look good.
  20. Guessing. Eagle left, Imrie right and Foran as a striker with Barrowman or Rooney.
  21. Seemingly Eagle played left back at times for Norwich reserves so thats another string to his bow. With what has been said about reduced squad size and utility players.
  22. Been reading up on him on the Norwich forums. Remember we are talking about a youngster here. He was tipped by many at Norwich, others felt he was lightweight and lacked pace. Some posters loved him, pointing out his amazing first touch and pin point crossing. All said his attitude was excellent and that he had been working really hard , to beef up, and this might well pay off for him in the long run. Lets hope we sign him. I think he has enough for us.. and whats more he has a left foot!! Graham
  23. Stratford was waived by D.C. United on August 15th, 2008. Any player who has played for D.C. United surely has to be worth a look, they are I'm told the most successful club in the US.
  24. According to the main site article, Danny Sanchez is Spanish, only reference I can find to a Spanish Danny Sanchez is a young defender who plays in Liverpool reserves?? Was a Spanish under 17 international. Cannot be him surely?? Perhaps Sanchez is a common Spanish surname, like Smith.. lol
  25. Its a friendly, so why not. Butcher is keen to see Rooney now he's fit to play..
