  1. That's exactly what I would like them to do. There would be no need for bands as you could just show your ticket if required.
  2. I've tried packing it in.. I've a history of success with packing in addiction having stopped drinking due to addiction many years ago. However, I'm finding stopping smoking impossible... the help isn't the same... When I came off booze I was able to stay in a clinic for a while away from it. and was given drugs to keep my calm through the withdrawals. Sadly, no such treatment is avaliable to heavy smokers (that I have found!) And what about those who choose to smoke??
  3. It may do, but because it states as a term and condition does not mean necesserily it's legally enforcable. Anyhow, how often does someone get tannoyed to move there car ect.. presumably these people get back in?
  4. Personally, I don't see why I cannot leave the stadium and come back in. Surely this is an infringment of my personal liberty and might be challengable in a court of law..??
  5. I'd rather not break the law! and why should other non-smokers have to put up with my second hand smoke in an enclosed area.. Surely a sensable solution could be found. At a recent cup game I was able to get outside thanks to the fact that some reasonable person had left the door where the Aberdeen Angus van (wasn't there) usually is open..
  6. I am an addicted smoker and find it uncomfortable to go 1 hour 45mins + without a fag. I'm sure many other fans are the same. Could we have a smoking area so that those of us with this problem, could at least get a fag at half time. As far as I understand it, I cannot leave the stadium at half time for a fag and come back in.. This is daft, if I go to see a play at Eden Court I can.. I'm a paying customer, what I do in the break and where I go, is surely up to me. Why can I not do so at TCS? Do other clubs provide an area??

Interesting comment birdog. Would a fanatic miss several minutes of a game by going to get a pie? Or leave the ground 10 mins early? I doubt it!!
  8. "churchgoers have no reason to be against clubs which celebrate nakedness" birdog I suppose they would say it's about how you celebrate nakedness. Strippers is sexual titalation and they might argue thats evil because it encourages good men too stray from good wholesome manogamy. Perhaps they would have less a problem with the traditional Nudest movement, where its all about being natural and clothes free rather than sexual.?

I agree there is a problem, what we have now have is a bigger underclass.. but I stand by my original statement that Inverness is mostly middle class, the middle class in the UK has grown hugely in % terms, due to home ownership, education and the change in jobs from manufacturing to service areas. This thread is going off topic somewhat... perhaps we need a new thread on anything goes to discuss economic demographics.

I think as a cab driver I know Inverness better than most, yes there are areas of Inverness that are poor, but as a percentage of the whole city.. it's only a small part. What % of houses in Dalneigh/Hilton for instance are still council owned??
  11. I'm amazed those in the Kingsmills suite eat meat pies. I thought they would be more volivonts and cucumber sandwich kinds of people...
  12. I agree that Imrie is more likely to get past defenders on a run up the wing than Eagle. However Eagle has far more control when on the ball and is more likely to deliver a decent cross. In pre-season we saw Eagle deliver great crosses to Forans head which resulted in 2 or 3 goals. When was Imrie ever that accurate.?

"Brilliant post birdog , probably the best post I've ever read on these boards . The middle classes have killed the beautiful game without a doubt , imagine going to a game and hearing " sweary words " Britains class structure (if you believe we still have one?) has changed hugely in my lifetime, nearly everyone is middle class now.. So is it any wonder things have changed?. Thatcher wiped out the working class.. We are also talking about Inverness here, which has always been a middlle class kind of place. I would say that without middle class punters you would not have a football club... there are not enough working class fans left..
  14. I think you are being a bit unfair on Eagle. He's new to the scottish game and is probably used to more time on the ball. I really didn't think he put in that bad a shift.
  15. He won't be but Eagle may play... :003:

Al wager that EWS was one of those that thought Brewster did a good job and was hard done by!! If you cant see that a team that has spent the last 5 yrs playing in the top level, should be capable of taking the scalp of a team that spent as long in the 2nd Div, at home, well...your deluding yourself. Ayr will be in the bottom half of the best teams we will come up against this season I have to say Ayr looked a better side than I expected.. defended in numbers and proved hard to brake down, but yes we certainly should have won, given the amount of possession we had...

Aye some idiot behind me during the second half was shouting "Here it comes" every time Ayr started to attack our goal... It was like he was willing us to lose... Really, positive.. supporting that !!
  19. Credit where credit is due, I'm glad to see Caley D giving this approach a go!! Perhaps if he had some kind of remote to play a tune or two, inbetween his banter that would be a better overall balance... But, I for one applaud his efforts with the crowd.. :003:
  20. Some guy in a tie-dyed t-shirt ate most of the pies before kickoff... and thus they only had enough food left to open one outlet at the stadium.
  21. We are playing nice football, passing is better, and we are using the width of the pitch, but you cannot pass the ball into the net.. We need shots at goal... Why oh why, is nobody willing to take a chance and hit it?
  22. Aberdeen could be looking at a relegation battle this season.. would be funny if they went down and we went up.
  23. Are the pills blue ?? Wouldn't know myself. Your only bitter because, You bought the wife some expensive lingerie and the one time she wore it, she still insisted you switched the light off. (as usual!) She went to a work Ann Summers party bought a rabbit and has discovered just how inept you are.
