Pretty sure they said exactly the same for the game there earlier this season, but they were on sale on the day in a wee office opposite the home ticket office.

If he can't commit 100% to us then we shouldn't even consider Butcher. Plus he's been mince everywhere else he's managed. Robbo for me....still.
  3. Pavels and Morais both look excellent, so I've no problems with their signings.

Hopefully. Somepne says on another thread that Mikey has already signed for Motherwell, if that's the case then obviously it's too late. If he hasn't though, I know for a fact that he was never going to sign a new contracyt while Brewster was there, so maybe it's not too late. As for Cowie....fingers crossed.
  5. There was a load of them on our bus back up the road on Saturday, including the wee Bennett. And a right good craic they were too.....didn't realise he was his son, but as they were all calling him Bennett it makes sense now!!
  6. Great news. The bloke nearly let his ego destroy our club, and fair play to the board for at last having the balls to punt him (even if took much longer than it should've). A new man now has a few weeks to try and get HIS team sorted out, and this'll hopefully give us the boost in confidence that's so obviously needed. I'm feeling a lot more optimistic about the rest of the season now than I was at 5pm on Saturday afternoon.

Kevin McDonald for me. In the likely event of that not happening though.......Robbo definitely.
  8. Agree, we should aim to get as many there as possible, just like last Saturday, and show the team we're fully behind them. It was just the manager we had issues with!! Hearts sell tickets in the office as you're walking down to the away end. Just buy them on the day.
  9. 'kinell, bottom of the league, playing *****, players not having a clue what they're supposed to be doing on the pitch, looking relegation certainties, losing our best players, board members slagging off the fans, and fans fighting and arguing amongst ourselves.......nice one Brew and the Board, yer doing a fantastic job in destroying OUR club :thumb04: :018:

There's 16 games left, so plenty of points available, including the post split games against all those likely to be down there battling it out with us. IF we had a change of manager before the end of the transfer window then I'm confident we'll survive. Anybody new must be given at least a week to try and sort out a few of his own deals. IF the board keep their heads in the sand, and keep faith with the clueless fecker, then we may as well start planning for Div 1 right now. Change of manager=staying up. Brewster=doomed.

I'd planned to go, and probably still will. It's getting harder to muster up the enthusiasm though!
  12. I'd agree with that. They seemed to take a tumble everytime anyone farted within 20ft of them. And the fecking timewasting was embarrassing. Levein got it spot on. We were still ***** mind!

This is why I think the whole pre-contract thing is a nonsense. He's signed for someone else so just let him go. I hope it doesn't turn acrimonious though, as Black, despite his (many) moments of madness, has been magnificent for us. It'd be very sad to see him leave under a cloud. We all knew he'd go on to bigger and better things, so best of luck to Ian. If people do want to have a go, then surely it's the fool that's causing all these players to leave that should be targetted.
  14. One of the funniest things I've seen at a game.....at least the crowd were entertaining, more than can be said for the team!

Posted on: Nov 27 2008, 05:35 PM He'll be away in Jan, trust me on that one My post from November. From a very close source too
  16. Tactics are the problem. No lone striker, no matter how experienced he is, is going to get you 20+ goals a season. Even if we bring in someone experienced, does that mean we're suddenly going to be playing 442 for the rest of the season? I very much doubt it, because Brewster obviously favours 451....greaat away from home, if you've got the players to play that way, but at home against our relegation rivals? The fact that we've got 3 very inexperienced guys up front, playing, for most weeks, on their own, is just nonsense. Add in the fact that the front person changes every week, when clearly any of them needs a decent run of games to get them up to what it is they're supposed to be doing. Rooney is clearly the best we've got, and if he'd been our main striker from the start, I've no doubt he'd be in double figures by now. Wood is raw, but there's definitely something there (a lot more than Rory ever had for sure), and he could be a real asset. Barrowman, sorry, but in my opinion, it was an undestandable gamble to take, but he's just not got it for this level. So, we;ve got two very inexperienced, potentially, very good strikers in Rooney and Wood. Neither of them are THAT good though at the moment that you can build a system around them where you play them as a lone striker. Until we play a 442, where we've got an experienced player, playing alongside either of them, then we're just wasting, and demoralising, two very good, young players. I agree to an extent that we don't actually need an experienced striker here, because all that'll happen is that he'll just replace the one we're playing up front at the moment. Until Brewster gets away from this 451 mentality, then, to me it's not going to make a blind bit of difference who's up front. It's the system that needs changing.....442, with an experienced striker alongside Rooney or Wood. Can you just imagine Dargo alongside either of them two??
  17. Gatheussi can play anywhere across the back......according to Brewster. Where's Rory gone then? (I must've missed it). I don't think there's any doubt another striker will be in before the end of January, so that still leaves four.
  18. I know it's impossible to work out Brewster's thinkings, but with all these signings, is this a simple competition for places move, or is it the end for some of our long standing players? Is Hastings on his way? That's Byrne and Gatheussi (who can supposedly play across the middle as well) both competing with him. McGuire? Duff? Seems like, and from the very little I've seen of him, Mihadjuks could be the answer to our defensive woes. Morais.....any place for Imrie now? An experienced striker? Do we really need 5 strikers? Who'll go? And that's just who's arrived now. There could well be a few new faces by the time the window closes. So, come the end of the window, is our team going to be recognisable from the one that started at Aberdeen on the first day of the season? A hell of a lot of questions I know......

That's a shame. Everytime I've seen him he's always impressed. Very comfortable on the ball, and he could spray the passes all over the park....he could certainly teach our 1st team players a thing or two about passing. Good luck to him wherever he ends up.

Im sticking with Mo raise Where the hell is that accent he's got from as well??? Didn't sound very Portuguese to me! I didn't realise he's only 23 as well, thought he was older.

    'Mon the Ayr!!
  24. Great gesture by the club. Like everyone, I'm quick enough to criticise them when they screw up, so when they do right I'll applaud them. This is a massive game in our clubs history, and despite everything that's happened recently, it's the team who need our support so we should be there in numbers to make sure they get it. I normally take the car as I normally have football with my under 11s team on a Saturday morning, but I might cancel next Saturdays game so I can get the bus instead. What time are the buses likely to leave?

Any wee team away would do me So I'm betting it'll be Celtic away!!!
