Absolutely rubbish. We looked completely clueless, leaderless, and devoid of ideas. First time I've ever left with more than 15 minutes left, but that was soul destroying. Fecking 442 away at Midden last week, then back to 451 at home today...the bloke hasn't got a clue

That would be the McGuire who was ever present in our run of good form (including a few clean sheets) this time last year that earned us SPL survival. Rory put in a good shift in the reserves match on Tuesday, and I think Garry Wood may be carrying a knock. McBain for Black is surprsing but then Balckie does sometimes go of the boil. Rory always seems to put in a good shift for the reserves, but never transfers that to the first team. If Wood is carrying a knock then why is he on the bench? Sorry, I've not been very vocal on the position of Brewster upto now, but todays formation, and subs, and the fact we're being totally outplayed by St Mirren, shows he's simply not upto the job. If we don't do something very quickly to resolve the situation we're going to be in very deep ****.

Doubtful. I was away in the hills all weekend, and was surprised how little I cared about finding out the result. Which is sad.....a few years back I'd never have arranged a weekend away when we were at home. Think I'll just save the money and use it for away days. Far more of a craic.

Where has this 'beginning of the season' offer appeared from all of a sudden? Even in todays Courier Bennett says the players were offered new contracts only in October, and from memory, the club made a big deal of waiting to the October international break before sitting down with the players.

Think he means the Dargo who scored 32 goals in 67 appearances for us?

The thing with Blackie though is that he's made no secret of how much he likes it up here, and I honestly believe if we offered him a decent contract (by our standards) then he'd sign. Obviously, like any footballer, he wants his career to progress to the highest level, and I've no doubt Blackie has the ability to do just that. At this moment in time though I think he's perfectly happy where he is, and the big move can wait until he builds his reputation some more. To suggest that tighter financial planning might be behind this is just madness, as we're in serious danger of losing our biggest asset for absolutely nothing. Like I said before, I've no idea what happens during the contract process, but this is all starting to sound worryingly familiar.

Just what exactly is Bennet doing?! If that's true then it beggars belief. I think it was Esson saying after the Killie game how Blackie is the lynchpin in the team, the one who everything goes through, and how important a player he is. And we appear to be fecking him around :thumb04:

He can be really infuriating at times, and he still blows hot and cold for me. In saying that though.....I thought he was mince when he first arrived, but he seems to be improving very quickly (I obviously appreciate the massive step up he initially made). I do love his 110% commitment as well, and I agree, he could turn out to be a very, very good signing for us.

Just seen the highlights. Barrowman was clearly onside when he 'scored'.....which, had it been given, would've spared us the nailbiting end! Good thread going on KillieKickback regarding Blackies booking.......seems he was very unfairly treated for having a bit of banter with the home fans?
