  1. McBain did play well, especially in the first half. Duncan did what he does best...won the ball then gave it straight back to the opposition. Black and Cowie just weren't with it in my opinion. Vigurs showed some great moments, but drifted out of the game too much for my liking. The defence....ok, except Tokely, who was mince. And as for Barrowman, sorry, I can't agree with whoever said he had a great game. He was woeful again. He just isn't up to it. We are in dire trouble, and the only thing that'll get us out of this is a new manager. Simple as.
  2. Surely now is the time to punt him, rather than all this ' let's wait til after the next two before we make a decision' talk. A new manager now will give everyone a boost, and give us far more confidence for two games which we desperately need to win. If Brewster gets the next two games, and we lose both, it might be beyond the point of return for any new man coming in.
  3. WTF does he say to the players??? :thumb04: :018:
  4. "They are in a league that is very tight and there are three teams on 17 points.” Errrr....not anymore, it's just us Still, nice to know there's no pressure!
  5. The following week provides the best opportunity for a 'demonstration' in my opinion. Not enough people will walk out in a big game like Saturdays. And the board will simply say that the few that do walk out are representative of a small minority of fans. Wheras the cup game.....everyone will have to pay to get in, season ticket holders included. The only thing that'll make the board take action is when the discontent starts hitting them financially, so why not organise a mass 'stay away' from the game (though the way we're going it's not likely it'll be noticed!!). Imagine the embarrassment that'd be caused if there was a tiny home crowd there, and it was known that fans were deliberately staying away because of what's going on.
  6. We'll have new grounds to visit next season Cheaper prices A more competitive league Ermmm....any more??

    Rooney

He looks easily our best striker......so I reckon Brewster will sell him on in January!
  8. To be fair to him he did ok once he was out at right back, and that's the position which obviously suits him best. It wasn't just him at fault on Saturday, the whole defence was posted missing. It was quite clear from the start that none of them had a clue what their role was, or who was supposed to be picking who.
  9. I hope we get a good gubbing, followed the week after by a cup exit. It might be too late to save us, but those two results would surely get rid of him. I think a defeat next week is inevitable, it's the result the week after which could be decisive.
  10. Esson, Tokely, Proctor, McGuire, Munro, Hastings, Cowie, Duncan, McBain, Imrie, Wood. Has to be the worst team I can remember us putting out since we came into the SPL. Take Cowie out (at the moment we may as well, he's just not interested) and there's not one 'flair' player there. Given our traditional geographical problems with signing ANYONE, who the hell is going to want to come up here, to a team rooted to the foot of the table, in January? I really can't see us buying our way out of this when the window comes, and we're going to play the second half of the season with an ordinary 1st division team.
  11. That really was dire. We've had many shocking performances this year, but that one topped them all. No need to go over what's already been said, but....well, it was embarrassing how bad we were at times. Now that Brewster has fecked off any talent we once had, we're left with a team that is pretty mince to be honest... Esson aside, would any of our team today get signed by any other SPL side? I don't think so.....we're poor, from the very top to the very bottom. I fear the worst....
  12. The players looked completely lost with today's 'tactics'. No-one seemed to have a clue where they were playing, and none of the defence seemed to have a clue who they were supposed to mark. Feckin shocking
  13. If we lose Blackie we're fecked....simple as.
  14. Surely they can see what the vast majority of the supporters can see can't they? The disquiet, and low league position, is, in the main, due to a manager who is tactically inept, and appears to have lost the respect of the players. Giving him money in January? Is this to replace our main players, who'll be leaving? So who are these lifesavers we're going to bring in? Sorry like, the players we already have are good enough to get us out of this.....unfortunately, the manager isn't. Haeds and sand springs to mind.
  15. Robbo and Wilson for me
  16. Fecking useless just about sums it up. Oh aye, and Proctor gave probably the worst centre half performance I've ever seen.
  17. Absolutely rubbish. We looked completely clueless, leaderless, and devoid of ideas. First time I've ever left with more than 15 minutes left, but that was soul destroying. Fecking 442 away at Midden last week, then back to 451 at home today...the bloke hasn't got a clue
  18. And after those 4 games it gets even harder.....Hearts (a), Celtic (h), Dundee Utd (a). :018: :thumb04:
  19. A manager who knew what he was doing would.
  20. Surely it's his fecking job to make sure we ARE more positive next week.
  21. Same here. If I didn't have a season ticket then I really don't think I'd bother next weekend.
  22. That would be the McGuire who was ever present in our run of good form (including a few clean sheets) this time last year that earned us SPL survival. Rory put in a good shift in the reserves match on Tuesday, and I think Garry Wood may be carrying a knock. McBain for Black is surprsing but then Balckie does sometimes go of the boil. Rory always seems to put in a good shift for the reserves, but never transfers that to the first team. If Wood is carrying a knock then why is he on the bench? Sorry, I've not been very vocal on the position of Brewster upto now, but todays formation, and subs, and the fact we're being totally outplayed by St Mirren, shows he's simply not upto the job. If we don't do something very quickly to resolve the situation we're going to be in very deep ****.
  23. Rory for Barrowman, and McBain for Blackie That'll do it!!! Fex sake.
  24. Seems very odd 4-5-1 has served us pretty well away from home, and you'd think the team were comfortable playing that formation. So why change back to a 442 now?
  25. Nah.....that was Darren Thompson!! To be fair though, Barrowman is doing his best to take that title from him.
