  1. As long as no-one does the 'WE ARE STAYING UP' chant until it's certain we are. Everytime I've heard it sung before matches this year, we've generally failed to win the game!
  2. I'd be very worried if the bookies didn't make us favourites!! At home, against the bottom team. I know anything can happen, but in the betting world, we're obviously going to be favourites.
  3. Totally agree Roscoe, I'm fully confident we'll get what we need next week. Why everyone's so worried about Falkirk is beyond me. They've been as gash as we have all season, and they're the ones that HAVE to come up here and win. Past results count for absolutely nothing next week, as fully proved at Killie yesterday. I believe it'll all come down to who's got the most bottle, who's up for it most, and who's prepared to give their all for 90 minutes. I believe we've got the fighters in our team to do it. And as I said on another thread....I'd far rather have Butcher in my corner, giving me his pre-match motivational speech, than that *** Hughes. And I reckon, after two controversial cup exits to them, our players wouldn't choose anyone over Falkirk to do or die against next week. We'll be right up for it.
  4. Simple fact is we'd have been relegated by now if Brewster had still been in charge. That day we lost at Hamilton was one of the lowest times I've ever had watching ICT. It was like the whole team had given up. If, on that day, we'd been offered the chance of survival by just getting a draw on the last day of the seaon, I think we'd have all happily taken that. And that's where we're at. How can Butcher be blamed for any of this?? Aye, most of the time the football has been dire, but we've got points. He's at least instilled a bit of fight back into the team, and given them a much needed shot of confidence. If the board had the balls to have got him in a month earlier then I honestly believe we'd be clear of relegation by now. Tell you what though, I know which manager I'd rather have in the dressing room next week giving the pre-match team talk. And it ain't John Hughes, and it certainly ain't Brewster. Butcher will have us fired up, no question, and well, if we don't do it, I certainly won't be putting any of the blame on Tel.
  5. I'll be there with the usual two. Part of me wants to give the whole thing a miss though, then I can just get a text from the boys at 3ish saying 'We did it!!. It's going to be unbearably tense.
  6. Well, it's wee Ian's last game for the club next week, and what a last game it'll be for him! No-one can question his committment to the cause since him signing his contract with Hearts as he's been outstanding. If only a few of our other players had his attitude. The guy runs himself into the ground week after week, puts his body in where it hurts, and will be a huge loss next season regardless of which league we're in. I remember when he first signed, watching him warm up with the subs down at Pittodrie, and it was easy to tell then he had some quality about him. Best In Black footballing memory.....THAT penalty at Ibrox. Couldn't believe it when Blackie stepped up to take it, but feck me, how cool was he?? Best Ian Black memory....his scrap with Gary Mason at Dunfermline the other year. The two of them rolling round on the pitch smacking ***** out of each other was pure comedy. And he didn't even get sent off I wish him all the best in his future career, and pray we'll see him again next season, even if it is in a Hearts shirt :D
  7. It's about time we started announcing the number of away fans too. I'm sure that'd shut a few of the opposition supporters up, when they realise how few they bring up here. Anyway, back to the match....we should've had it sewn up by half time. Oh well, next week is either going to our best day yet, or our worst.

    Deja Vu

 I'm totally confused by that too. Think Roscoe was pointing out that unlike us, who just need a draw, Falkirk come up knowing they have to win. Therefore, the odds on a pitch invasion from OUR fans are slightly better.

    Deja Vu

Trouble is the opposition had nothing to play for that day........I'll happily take the dullest 0-0 imaginable right now.
  10. I think we'll actually beat them. Don't forget they HAVE to get the win, which puts all the pressure on them. The perfect scenario though would be a Foran equaliser in the 93rd minute, right in front of the NS :)
  11. Esson HAS to start. Michael just doesn't command his box in the same way as Esson does, and his distribution is painfully slow. Even when we were chasing an equaliser today he still seemed to take an age over all his clearances.
  12. Esson Tokely Munro Pav McBain Morais Kerr Black Vigurs Rooney Foran
  13. Pretty much spot on IHE. Would've had Blackie as my MOTM as he never stopped. Thought Kerr was ok too, and I'd have given Imrie just the ....because it was a waste of time him being on there. As for Barrowman, I agree....the biggest waste of money we've ever spent.
  14. I always park in the wee side street right behind the stadium. Never had any trouble finding a space there.
  15. Me +2. Can't miss the match which secures our SPL status
  16. We need a draw minimum to be safe if Falkirk beat St Mirren. we're 3 points ahead of them with 6 to play for. Aye, right enough. Still, one point from 6 should be doable.
  17. Ach well, a point will do. As long as Falkirk beat St.Mirren on Saturday then we'll be safe whatever we do.
  18. C'moooooooon. If all these results stay the same we're safe!!
  19. Because Lionel is even worse than f***n hopeless.
  20. Esson Tokely Pav Munro McBain Morais Kerr Black Vigurs Foran Rooney
  21. Pretty much spot on IHE. Apart from Imrie....who gets worse everytime I see him. He was absolute garbage today as usual, and his mishit volley in front of goal in the first half just about sums up his level.
  22. Thought Kerr was excellent yesterday. He was the only one consistently trying to get the ball down and play it on the ground. The longer the game went on, the more he influenced it. Blackie was superb I agree, but he was maybe a bit fortunate to not get a red card in the first 5 minutes!! He had two tackles, one after the other, where he went in two footed. Both could quite easily have got him a yellow. He didn't even get a talking too
  23. I just don't get what anyone sees in Imrie. He can't pass, control a ball, or take a man on. There was a point yesterday when we had a two against two break, and Imrie was up against Severin. You just knew he wouldn't get past him, and sure enough..... He's an average 1st division player at best. Get him out of the team altogether as he brings nothing to it.
  24. Why the feck do we persist with Imrie up front? In fact, why do we persist woth Imrie?? His touch, crossing, ability to take a man on.....are all fecking woeful. He hasn't even had a sniff of a goal since he got pushed up front. Thought Morais was pretty good as it goes. At least he has a go, albeit wastefully at times. Disagree about Kerr. Thought he played well, and seemed to be the only player trying to get the ball down and pass it around. We missed Blackie when he went off, was he injured? Disappointing day overall. Good first half, ***** second. Oh well, it'll soon be forgotten if we get the three points next week.
